Yellow Mountain Imports YMI Rouge Heritage Chinese Mahjong Set, 146 Tiles

I got these for my husband for Christmas and he loves them! Really good quality and very heavy. The price was worth it to me and the instructions included help a lot with learning the game! The colors and design is vibrant and beautiful as well!

The set came in great condition and is very durable. The rules are written in slightly broken English, though are still understandable enough to play. The tiles are a good size, fairly hefty, and good quality, with the kind of lotus artwork you'd expect from a classic Chinese Mahjong set. If there is any negative I might nitpick, it would be that the material of the case seems to scratch easily and will get dinged up with continued use. Otherwise, if you're looking for a mahjong set that functions as it's intended, this is a great choice.

This is a beautiful Mahjong set. The tiles are of great quality and don’t scratch, and the case holds everything really well. I just started learning how to play, and the tiles are so satisfying to use. I really like that they don’t have Arabic numbers on them (only the flower tiles do) so that I can learn the Chinese numbers. I don’t use the flower ones anyways when playing Chinese Mahjong. I read in some other comments that people thought the case was flimsy, but it’s actually very sturdy, and I love the color and design. One of my favorite parts is putting all the tiles back in order inside the case after we play. I also love the little Sun Wukong sticker it comes with!

Nice set of tiles that are nicely printed. The size and weight is nice and feels nice to the touch when you’re “washing” the tiles. The only thing that’s missing is the trays for storing the tiles.

What’s started out as I mistake on my part, thinking this was an American mahjong set of tiles, turned into a wonderful new adventure. The tiles are very large and the etchings are deep and distinctly colored. I love the classic design so I decided to keep them and learn how to play Chinese mahjong. I’ve had so much fun that I’m actually sharing my new tiles and the game to my mahjong group tomorrow. Lastly, Mary with customer service was quick to respond, professional and very courteous. I’m so happy I decided to keep these tiles!!

Got this as a birthday gift to my mom who has been wanting a Mahjong set for a while. A couple of points to bring up: Firstly, I want to mention how carefully it was packaged. The case was completely encased in foam. Huge fan of that considering how much money you're dropping on this set. Secondly, the case itself is beautiful and well made. Not sure if its real leather but its very well made. The tiles are also in top condition, being all wrapped up together to keep them from banging around during transport. The third and final point, the instructions. The instructions are extensive but very easy to read and in proper english, too, which is very important considering my mom has never played mahjong and it is a vastly different game then what shes used to. 10/10 product

I work as a summer school teacher at a Chinese culture camp and get to teach mahjong to 12-15 year olds. I purchased these tiles in Teal, Green, and Rose. The colors are so vibrant and the quality of the tiles are great. We’ve used the sets for several rounds so far and we hope to keep using them for many years to come.
