Great solar panels for my motorhome.
I installed 2 of the Rich Solar Onyx 250W 24V 16BB panels wired in parallel on the roof of my 24ft motorhome a week ago. I’m managing them with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT charge controller. I mounted them lengthwise on either side of my air conditioner with a 22.5 degree tilt toward the sides of the vehicle. I made their mounts out of aluminum angle bars. I bolted everything together with stainless steel bolts and stainless steel nylon lock nuts. It’s early August. We have just begun a 5,000 mile month long trip, and we’re driving around 4-5 hours a day. It’s a challenging environment when we are stopped because the campgrounds we like are mostly well-treed. So far this pair of panels have been delivering about 45V and around 350W peak, and about 1,500 Watt Hours per day (mostly while driving on the freeway). I think that’s pretty great so far. When we get home I hope to add another two of these panels to my roof.

Looks like a great product
Ordered 10 panels and received all on time and in excellent condition despite the best efforts of the shippers. Of the group only 1 had a minor cosmetic flaw in the frame. Checked and got 45V open circuit on each one and connected all in series to verify good connections. Now I just have to get up on the roof and install...😓Been running with 10 panels for 2Kw set up for 4 months now. The most I get is around 1900W, which is acceptable. They are in a series/parallel set up with a 250/85 controller (48VDC). Open ckt volts should top out at about 235, but will briefly(?) spike above 250V on occasion. Hopefully the controller can handle the issue. After all the work, still satisfied with performance.

Well, made with plenty of power!
I purchased this item almost 2 years ago and decided it was time to do a review on it. Most of the time items that I buy seldom meet the advertised specifications. In this case it is quite the opposite. I just took a reading on the voltage output of the solar panel and to my amazement It was putting out 41 volts with an advertise maximum of 37 1/2 volts. I am completely happy with this solar panel and plan on buying more in the future.

These used to be 1.4" high
I am adding 6 to my system and things were going well, until I went to clamp them together with my other Rich Solar panels that had the same dimensions. They shaved off .2 inches off these new ones making the specs shown false. They show 1.4" and they are only 1.2"... which makes clamping the new with the old impossible. 4 end brackets had to be put between the old and the new panels. Which created another problem, the end brackets minimum height is 1.4" which means I had to cut 0ff .2" of each end bracket I used for these new Solar panels. This messed up my plans for placement but I was able to make it work. Two more of this setup to go. Need 12 end brackets that I had to order. I am also worried that these thinner models may not withstand the weather that the other thicker ones have gone through.

Best small format panel I could find
Love this solar panel. Put one of these on my Lance 2185 trailer along with victron smart solar moot charge controller and went on a 30 day camping trip. Was enough to no use hook ups and no generator.I just wish it was cheaper. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Great production, easy set up, excellent packaging! UPDATE: EXCESS VOLTAGE
Updated Review after purchasing second 200W 24 volt panel:I was so happy with my first panel that I ordered a second. I connected the in series to charge my Blue Etti even faster. The Blue Etti will work with up to 60v input so it should have worked fine, however, the second panel (or maybe both) are producing way over 24 volts. The name plate for the original panel showed maximum power voltage of 24 volts, the nameplate for the second panel shows the maximum power voltage of 37.6 so make sure you understand the excessive voltage before ordering. I tried to return and get a replacement panel but the company cancelled my return and hasn't responded with any updates.Original Review for first 200W 24v panelIve been using the 200W mono panel to daily charge my Blue Etti for the last week and it has been working great. It consistently produces 165 to 170 watts (I’ve monitored several days at around 10 a.m. and 2 pm) during the peak solar hours which is good for a 200 watt panel. I chose the Rich solar panel after watching YouTube reviews in which Rich panels typically among the best performers. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived to see that Rich had improved the packaging, which had been mentioned as being disappointing in the YouTube reviews. My panel arrived with both cardboard and foam around almost the entire exterior. It also appears that Rich has improved upon the quality of the construction compared to what was shown in the YouTube videos. Im completely happy with it and will definitely buy Rich panels gain due to the good price and excellent performance.

Incorrect
The panel did not meet its nameplate rating. Open circuit voltage was half of the nameplate and power output was also not correct. Item was returned. Get another brand.
