Best Bang for your buck trail cam.
Im an outdoors professional and have used and tried all the big brands, and YOU CANNOT BEAT THESE FOR THE MONEY. They have their flaws occasionally, but so do the $200 cameras. Ive left it our all winter in the rocky mountains and some how the 4 AA batteries last and will take 10,000+ photos. Night vision is a bit weak, but its still an amazing camera for around $20.

Okay for the price, has limited features, is hard on batteries
This an ok entry-level trail camera, but it has a few drawbacks: 1) It does not allow the user to set a time window when it is active โ it's either on or off; 2) It ONLY takes up to 32Gb SD cards; it will not recognize a larger capacity memory card; and 3) It requires a near-100% charge to work at night. My camera had stopped taking photos at night, and I had noticed that the images from my main security camera did not show the infra-red flash from this camera when a car drove by after dark, indicating that the flash was not firing โ thus no photos were being taken. I checked the batteries, and they all showed "GOOD" (in the green) on my battery tester. When I put a fresh set of batteries in the camera it resumed taking photos at night โ but we will see how long that lasts. Images are of fairly good quality, but it has a slow reaction time and is slow to re-trigger. It is a very basic camera, and I think that users of this unit will find themselves wanting more features and better performance.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!
1 year later. bought 2 left these things out for an entire rugged upstate NY winter after using them all season. I am blown away! They work great! Great price! great quality! Perfect budget trail cam! FYI: do not use rechargeable batts, inconsistent night vision. besides that it is flawless!

Very good basic camera
1 YEAR UPDATE. The cameras have started to malfunction pretty regularly. I've left them out for 4 weeks at a time before checking the SD cards and I'm noticing that the displays are not acting right, the time/date and settings are getting scrambled, etc. and the batteries aren't lasting as long as they used to. Also not capturing images as well as they used to. They're on the property where I live, not way out in the back country. So my use case is not critical. For the price, I'm not heartbroken, but a bit disappointed. ORIGINAL REVIEW Easy to set up, just follow the (fair) instructions. Takes 4 batteries instead of 8. Mine has taken about 6,000 pictures in 3 weeks on the same batteries (not using for video, though). I should clarify that this camera is within walking distance to my house and I can check on it regularly. I can't vouch for reliability leaving them unattended for long periods of time. Although it's very hot and humid right now, my application is a fair, moderate climate. I'm not leaving this for weeks/months to take pics of massive critters on the Brooks range in Alaska. The pictures are not cinematic quality, of course, but are very good for this price range. Night pictures are also very good. It works great for my needs so far.

Not bad for the price, but don't expect much.
Hard to be mad for such a low price point, but a simple OLED preview would be nice to aim this camera. Those little 1" OLEDs are super cheap. The LCD display reminded my of calculators from 40 or 50 years ago. If you shoot stills, the first one will be washed out. You can also see this on video. A burst of washout before camera adjusts. Low light videos turn out grainy before the infrared light kicks in. In decent daylight you get decent videos. Overall, not bad for what I needed it for which was to find out what's digging holes in my yard. I formatted a 128G SD card on my PC to FAT32 and it works. The videos are not very efficient coming in around 40MB each. I'm using lithium rechargeable AA batteries and they last for months.

I'm pleased with the performance of the cam. I've gotten some great pictures of my backyard residents.

Not as good as I thought
I had this camera awhile now. But I haven't started using it till this past year. At first the camera was wonderful taking photos when motion was activated. It caught everything, I was super happy with the purchase. But now when I go to use it, its not working at all. The only button that works is the aim button but it doesn't stay on. I set it up now multiple times this week and every morning I check it and it has nothing on it. No pictures and the batteries are fully charged. So as soon as I walk away it seems to turn off while having fully charged batteries ? I get this is a cheaper device but when I first used it, it was wonderful. Why would it just stop working after only a few months of use? I would hope it just sitting in the box wouldn't create it to not work. It's a camera I should be able to put it away and use it again months later with no worries. Very disappointed. I'll have to buy another one. But I don't know if I'll shop this brand anymore as the product has just stopped working in such a short period of time. And I don't think you should have to buy a new trail cam every year to replace the one you already have. They should work for years. Just disappointed I'm not getting photos out of it like I was when I first used it.

EDIT: Useless , hard NO
EDIT: Review below line is for this specific camera, which isnt great. I can however say this seller has several other game cameras that I DO RECOMMEND, fulln review pending. I can definitely say that it is worth paying a few extra dollars for the better versions as they are much easier to use, hold more batteries and therefore stay functional MUCH longer. Seller responded to my previous 1 star review VERY quickly and with genuine concern so I wanted to change my review to reflect outstanding customer service. I look forward to changing this to 5 stars once I setup and use upgraded version. WATCH OUT RACOONS! -----โ---------- I purchased these some time ago and am finally just getting around to reviewing. I honestly did not want to feel this negatively about this item due to its affordability but it is what it is. First, the clips and straps provided to help mount the cameras are useless. The metal snapped immediately. At this point I still was okay, again, because affordability. Then, for whatever reason, the camera requires so much energy that 4 batteries did not even last 24 hours. I am still optimistic but in the morning, on several occasions, after upgrading batteries several times, I repeatedly discovered that the camera died overnight. I finally lost interest and shelved both cameras for a couple of months. Upon attempting to use both again last night, one keeps turning off and the other won't capture anything unless we dance around in front of it. I am very disappointed in the waste of money on these cameras, but also the countless batteries and hours I have spent trying to "make it work". I did discover though there are countless apps out there that will convert old devices into security or trail cameras, so that is my best suggestion to anyone reading this!
