These are Absolutely Fantastic
Winsor and Newton manufacture high end art supplies, and this is no exception. These super juicy brush pens, with beautiful vivid colors, are designed with dual tips, a fine bullet tip and a well constructed brush nib. These are great for drawing, lettering, or whatever your artistic needs.

Beyond Basic
This is the basic set and when they say basic, they mean it . I think it’s all the colors you would need to get started and maybe more. All the basic colors that you would expect to find in watercolor. I swatched them just now, and the color is deep and vibrant, and they’re very juicy. Could not be more pleased.

Real winsor and Newton watercolor brush pens?
These aren’t as water responsive as the set I bought from an art store I’ve had to come back and check description a time or two to make sure they said watercolor markers and not just the pro markers they have. Paper really really matters with these if you want watercolor effects. I couldn’t get ink to move on decent Stratford or canson papers of 140lbs. And I really don’t want to waste better paper to check. They’ll still be alright for added details and sketching out and about. I just loved the first set I bought and thought I was getting a good deal here but they act like very different markers. Buy them but maybe from a reputable art supply store like Jerry’s or Blicks. I purchased a set of 6 from Michaels which were wonderful also these make me question my favorite brand for watercolor brush markers, to which I am highly addicted, am prone to hoarding them, and try every brand I can. WN were clear top runners prior to this particular set. Am hoping it was a bad batch because I reall love them usually

Buy them now!
OMG!!! I ordered these Winsor and Newton watercolor pro markers. These are the best I have ever used, and I own a lot. They are almost like magic- lol. They blend so beautifully with water, I just can’t believe how awesome they are. FYI: I do use 100% cotton watercolor paper.

Caduim Yellow hue and Lemon Hue yellow not the same color
I received my Winser Newton markers as I have the basic set of makers too They came wrapped nicely but my Lemon Yellow as marked on the page on Amazon was a Caduim Yellow Hue a tad darker was hoping for the lemon color ..Markers appear darker too then how it was on the Amazon page was brighter ...All professional markers seem more expensive than they should be ..

Are they worth the money?
As markers go, they're good ones. Are they worth five times the price of cheap markers? No. One good thing about them is that you can dip the tip in water to thin the color. They'll probably last longer than other markers, but these aren't "watercolors," fwiw. Water soluble.
