TerrificProduct!
As a 30 year practitioner of pointillism (stippling) I was intriged to learn of the availability of this product. Very soon I wanted my own. And now I do have my own. The Dotspen is a well constructed, nicely functioning drawing instrument. I am highly impressed with it's performance! and thrilled to have it. I unreservedly recommend this pen to other artists. There is a bit of a learning curve in mastering the product, but practice soon ends that concern. The dotting experience is hugely different from manually tapping out dots for hours on end. While awaiting delivery of my pen, issues arose over shipping (due to domestic postal mess ups.) Considering that the product is shipped from the far side of the world, such is not surprising. Regardless, when the issues arose, the seller demonstrated excellence in customer service by ensuring that I received my purchase in as timely a manner as could be hoped for. I am so pleased with this product that I will probably buy more at a later date.

Best art tool for dotting
This Dotspen is a time saver and a ease on the hand . After hours of dotting hands cramp . This stops all those problems plus is was very sturdy and lasted for years . The customer service was great and was very helpful and prompt with answers and solutions . Must have tool to your art arsenal . I’m getting older and dotting was getting to my hands and I love doing this type of art and this totally helped me continue my art .

Nice Pen, But.....
As much as I want to give this cool and helpful device 5 stars, The quality just isn't there. When I first got it out of the package, I put it on charger for a bit and then after a while, I tested it out and it would not move much at all. There was not much pressure being put against the the tip of the pen.I shut the pen off and decided to take it apart only to find that the ink cartridge holder had come apart. The magnet, the spring and the plastic piece were separated. They weren't broken so I put them back into the proper placement that I felt they belonged. And it worked well for a few minutes and then it came apart again. Further investigation lead me to believe that there must have been type of glue that should've held these parts together. If there wasn't any glue supposed to be added then it is something that needs to be fixed because the magnet would only be held into the plastic by friction alone. Luckily, I have some very strong epoxy on hand to bind these 3 pieces together and it seems to be working wonderfully as well.If you plan on buying this pen just be aware of this issue. It's a great pen otherwise. I do apologize if it was a bit confusing to follow along. It's hard to explain unless you are looking at it.

Motor stopped after little usage
To start, I thought that this pen was pretty helpful when I did use it. But I haven't used it for very long & was disappointed when it just broke on me. I have used it maybe 15 different times for less than 10 minutes each time & the motor died. When I try to turn it on the pen doesn't move anymore like it did & the motor is very slowed, sporadic & sometimes doesn't work at all. I've tried charging again but nothing has worked for me.

Thanks for this great tool. It's fun and saves a lot of time.
I'm very satisfied with this dotpen. It works fine and it makes beautiful dots. The support is very kind and super helpful. One can set two kind of speed. Slow for lighter dots and fast for darker. For me it's now so easy and joyful to make dotted pictures. Like this very much.

It broke the first time I tried to change ink.
When it was working, it was phenomenal. I love stippling, but I have arthritis in my hands, so it was great. The ink lasts a really long time too when you only do small drawings. I went to change the cartridge for the first time, and it broke. The magnet and spring came out of the tube with the old cartridge. When I went to put it back in with the new cartridge, in the way the diagram shows in the instructions, it didn't work. So, I took it out again. When it came out the second time, the spring got stuck in the shaft and bent out of shape. Now I cannot get it to work at all.I love this tool, but I hate that it broke the first time I tried to change ink. I'm not going to spend the $65 again to replace it when it broke so easily the first time.

Dotspen adds a new technique to watercolor paintings
My Dotspen lets me do artwork that I never would have done without it. The white dots allow me to add very realistic waves splashing onto rocks. Most white pens will not work on watercolor paintings because the ink runs or soak up watercolor and the white is white no more. Not so with Dotspen. It leaves a whit dot. In water color, use the dots pen last for a really sharp effect. I will demo the Dotspen this at the next art class!
