Perfection for the first 2 years. Still going strong.
At the 2 year mark, I thought I would write a quick review. Installation was easy if you are a little handy and have a few basic tools. It has never leaked. It has worked absolutely flawlessly for 2 years. I had to change the sediment prefilter at 12 months, and again at 24 months. I had to change the Reverse Osmosis filter at 24 months. This was all in the time frame I expected for moderate water use for 2 adults. The water tastes excellent, and the water flow has always been good. Very happy with this unit (G2P600).

Works well, easy to install, and quality is confirmed with routine TDS measurements.
6 month review: Water tastes similar to vending machines and water stores. I have consistently measured filtered water TDS at 8-12 ppm. The discarded water measures TDS anywhere between 300-600 and it tastes like armpit sweat, so it is definitely working on both instrument analysis as well as taste test. I collect discarded water for watering house/patio plants, but it's nice that discard volume is low (1:1). It's installed in the garage sink and use it mainly for filling 5 gallon jugs (with food grade silicone tubing attached to the faucet into jugs) that are also stored in the garage. It takes around 5-7 minutes to fill 5 gallons. I appreciate the clean design as the main unit is installed under a utility sink where it is easily visible.

I Love This Machine
The Waterdrop G2P600 Reverse Osmosis System is a very high quality piece of equipment. The design and build quality are awesome. Installation is very easy and takes up very little space. Flow rate is quite good, The water tastes great and customer service actually calls you to make sure there are no issues. I highly recommend this company and product.

Recommended (but get the mini tank too)
The Waterdrop G2P600 is an excellent reverse osmosis system (RO). We previously had a big tank RO but after a gallon or two it would slow down until there was just a trickle from the faucet. Then we would have to wait for the tank to refill. Having a continuous flow RO is a huge plus. And it takes up less than half the space as our old RO & tank. I had some concerns about the noise of the pump but honestly we keep it under the sink and when the doors are closed it's barely noticeable. However that we had one minor problem. There is a pause when you turn the faucet on. That momentary pause did not play well with our refrigerator ice maker. It made some loud noises. So I highly recommend if you are going to connect this RO to the refrigerator you buy the tank as well. (Waterdrop PMT Small Water Pressure Tank.) And then bleed a lot of water through the fridge to remove any potential bubbles in the line. Now there's no momentary lapse and the ice maker is quiet once again. You can see just how small the tank is compared to the RO in the attached picture. It was a very easy install and made a huge difference. Here's my water measurements in Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) measured in parts per million using the Craft911 water tester: 249 tds from the hose 324 tds from the sink (from a water softener) 34 tds from our old RO 12 tds from the G2P600 RO That's quite an improvement. Some day I'll have our water tested just to see what's actually in there and what the G2P600 is removing from the source. So I highly recommend the G2P600 and tank. This is proving to be one of my best Amazon purchases.

Clean water at last!
There is lots to like about this RO unit for under the kitchen sink beginning with its compact, thin size. It fits nicely and still provides lots of room for storage. The biggest plus is the ease of filter positioning for replacement. 2 easy to remove filters that take all of a nano-second to swap out when the time comes. The faucet set that comes with the unit is also vey nice. Small, sleek and easy to operate. My water pressure is very good so I have good flow for the dog's drinking water. The water filtration also appears to be on point. It is virtually tasteless and has no odor vs our tap water which heavily smells of chlorine. Another big plus. The 4-star vs 5-star rating is the need for an electrical outlet to operate the unit. Most are without that need. I hired an electrician to place a plug specifically for this operation which is overhead. That said, once turned on, it is very quiet and the display is very straightforward. I followed the instructions to let the water run a solid 30 minutes prior to usage and that was about it for start up. Once the filters are needing replacement the visual display will flash alerting the need to swap out filters. The price was very economical, the unit appears to do what it is intended. If it were without the electrical component, it would have been a 5-star. QUESTION: What are the replacement filter order numbers?? They do not make it clear how to order the correct filters and I would like to have them on hand.

Great RO system reducing TDS from 500 to 20
My well water is very hard and after using AquaTrue countertop RO system finally I decided to install tankless system. The main reason for the delay was my reluctance to drill a hole in 1.4” granite countertop for water dispenser. Surprisingly it was easier than I expected with a diamond dust hole drill bit. Manual calls for 1” hole which does not make any sense. Water dispenser supply pipe is 0.44” in diameter and smaller holes are easier to drill. I used 5/8” drill bit and installation did not have any problems. I cannot think of a possible reason why manufacturer recommends 1” hole. For drain line kit comes with a saddle type drain that required drilling a hole in sink drain pipe. I made a decision to use Y adapter (part B08YP9VKHZ at Amazon), which worked perfectly and looks very durable. Based on responses from manufacturer my expectation was that this system will reduce TDS of my water by 90%, from 500 to 50. Surprisingly measured hardness level of treated water was 19, less than 5% of tap water. Taste is roughly the same as Poland Spring bottled water from Costco. Flushing system for 30 minutes after system installation was somewhat annoying but I stored filtered water for washing a car to reduce waste. Definitely this flushing is needed. Water that was coming out initially from a dispenser was somewhat black. Whatever is used as a preserver in RO filter is definitely is not water. Water dispenser roughly matches my solid stainless steel Grohe kitchen faucet. It is not exact match but close enough. I timed performance and dispensing rate matches the specs, 2.5 minutes to fill 1 gal container. Sound is noticeable but not annoying enough to install sound deadening material around main unit inside kitchen cabinet. Overall the system exceeded my expectations and I am looking forward to using it for a number of years. One year update: Filter is working perfectly and gets plenty of use for various purposes; cooking, rinsing berries and vegetables, humidifier refills, car washing and so on. I estimate that I use 4-5 gallons filtered water a day. Since filter works so well I started using filtered water for rinsing glasses to avoid hard water spots. I replaced CF filter last month and it took less than 20 seconds. I do not think it is possible to make it easier. Since I liked this RO filter so much I ordered and installed UV filter by the same company. Not so sure if it was really needed but the problem with well water is that it is inconsistent and good testing results do not mean that water will stay the same.

Taste/ Dasani, Aquafina
Install is very easy as it’s all push connect and a few threads. No leaks and water tastes great. I would compare it to Aquafina or Dasani. My water was reading 167 on the TDS meter and it brought it down to 6 on the TDS meter. After installing the water drop re-mineralization filter it brought the TDS meter up to 12. I would like to add that I tested the water after the 30 min flush which tested 6. I would assume after running just a little bit longer it will get down to 3. It has a slight hum but only hums when water is on at the faucet as the motor kicks on. To me this is a fair trade off instead of having low pressure or a slow filling glass.

Great tasting water!
I’m on well water and my softener system does a great job. The taste wasn’t quite right. A little salty, a little texture. I found it drinkable, but my family couldn’t get used to it and we are water drinkers. We put this water drop system in and boom problem solved. Family is super happy, money well spent!
