Great value product
Arrived today and gave the house a once over with it. Overall I was impressed with how good it was at picking up the dirt left behind by our old Dyson. At first glance it may look less robust than the Dyson but it didn’t prove to be and it comes with a 3 year guarantee. The suction is good - it has 2 settings. The low power setting was fine with our hard floors but i felt it needed the oomph of the higher settings for carpets. I would recommend getting a second battery as I didn’t quite get the whole house done before the battery gave out - if I used the lower power setting all the time it probably would’ve been fine. Impressed with the crevice tool - worked much better than the Dyson we just binned. Impressed with its ability to pick up hair in the internal rotating brush which you can switch on or leave off. Did find trying to remove the rotating brush to clean out the hair and put it back in again a bit of a pfaff - the locking mechanism is a bit fiddly. All in all i would day it was good value for the money paid and very easy to use.

Highly recommend!
I’m genuinely impressed with this cordless Vax vacuum. I already own a corded Vax that delivers incredibly powerful suction and works brilliantly on carpets, so I initially didn’t expect a lightweight cordless model to perform nearly as well. However, this one has completely exceeded my expectations. It’s compact, lightweight, and surprisingly effective—especially considering its size. It handles my mostly carpeted home very well, and the convenience factor is a huge bonus. I originally bought it so my kids could easily clean their own rooms, and it’s perfect for that—simple to use and not too heavy for them to manage. What’s really surprised me is how often I now reach for this cordless vacuum instead of my corded one. I no longer feel like dealing with the hassle of carrying around a heavy machine and plugging it in from room to room. This has quickly become my go-to for everyday cleaning. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. It’s practical, efficient, and makes cleaning much easier.

Performance is super impressive, however...
Turned it on with the main head and initially wasn't impressed at all, seemed like a cheap knockoff. No suction at all, but then turned the turbo on and thought, OK, this is actually alright, however it wasn't picking up bits of fluff and thread, then discovered the motor button and bang. It picked everything up. I used my old hoover in the lounge and stairs only yesterday, so it was clean, but I went over them again with this and the collection bucket was FULL. I mean full. How was all this in my carpet? I couldn't see it. And I only hoovered (with a Henry Hoover) yesterday. So, yep, super impressed, however... all this performance comes at a cost. That cost is the battery. You turn it on turbo and the head motors on and the power level immediately drops a bar. You've got about 8 minutes to vacuum, because that's how long the so called 45 minute battery lasts when it's running balls to the wall. Should have got the 2 battery version as you need it to do more than 2 rooms. And it takes about 4 hours to charge the battery. The accessories are fine, however the pet tool needs to be used at an awkward angle to lie flat, but I suppose that depends on your height. I tried using it without the pole on the stairs and it was impossible. Its fine with the pole on a flat surface, or going down the stairs, but you can't use it going up. Awkward on a sofa too. Very impressed with the power, Design, and price (I paid 129), the battery is woeful, and that pet tool is a bit awkward. Do I regret buying it, definitely not. Would I go back to a Henry? Never. Could it be improved on? A little bit, but nothing I can't live with.

Excellent vacuum cleaner!
This stick vacuum cleaner was purchased to replace an old inherited vac at our holiday home. I was shocked at the performance of the Vax Blade 4 Pet Cordless stick vacuum. It performs equally as well as the Dyson I use at home. It has great pickup power, is very easy to set up and use and the charge lasts for several uses all around the house. I’m delighted with this vacuum cleaner and consider it excellent value for money. I recommend this product.

[update: battery issues] So much better than my Dyson but battery issues
[update] having owned this a couple of months it does a great job but we must have been one of the unlucky ones as the battery is definitely faulty and isn’t charging properly, given the price of a battery it’s very disappointing. [update] Ok, having owned a Dyson for over 7 years and very happy with its performance I was reluctant to change. So why did I, simple, the cost of a Dyson is eye watering so I started looking for an alternative. I am not disappointed the Vax is truly brilliant and out performs the Dyson in every way. Putting it together was 3 simple clicks, the battery capacity is more than adequate to do 5 rooms and a staircase and charges back to full in a few hours. Suction power is incredible, there is no need for the suction boost but if you use it it’s awesome. Emptying is a whole lot easier than a Dyson. The only thing I would point out is the weight is more to the handle grip and this will take a little getting used to but you will quickly appreciate how this makes a huge difference to manoeuvrability. You won’t regret buying this OnePwr Blade4.

Not great at high pile carpets and battery life is bad
I've had this product since summer 2023 and after a testing it for over 2 years, it's not that great. Pros: - it's portable because it's cordless Cons: - Very hard to take apart and put together, in a sense that parts feel very stiff - Product isn't great on high pile carpet. The rotating brush stops rotating all the time because the sensor can't handle high pile carpets. - It's not that great at picking up fur, maybe it'll work better for people who own short haired pets - The additional small bits aren't that great at picking up anything - The battery life on this thing is barely 20 minutes on max speed, which I need to use in order to get the fur off my carpet Overall, this product isn't great for high pile carpets and long fur animals. The parts are very stiff. I only held on because I've spent the money and feel like I have to make use of it as much as possible, even though I find myself more frustrated with this than ever.

Great for short or hard-wearing carpets.
Summary: Great suction and overall well balanced feel, will do really well for short / hard-wearing carpet. I however only have hard floors hence the 3 star review. Suction: The suction this small unit provides is great, with ability to change suction power allows for good battery life when changing to only use heavy suction when needed. Another great feature is the ability to change turn the bottom powered roller on and off. In my home it performed really well on all of my welcome mats with short hard wearing pile along with the stairs. On my thick rug it bogged down and could not perform on any suction / roller setting. On my hard floors it performed well if rolled straight over and picked up, I would estimate 90% of what it went over, though with the low clearance and lack of side vents it could not go over larger particles or anything from the side. Build: The build feels some what plastic and flimsy in area but with an over all good build for the cost. There is distinctive clicks when connecting the pipes, though this is sometimes too hard to separate. The bottom roller does not have much ground clearance, this does not allow for the pick up of larger particles. Unfortunately this did also lead to the hoover base catching a part of my floor and ripping it up, I cannot 100% put this down to the hoover or a defect on my floor (my previous shark did this area without issue for 2.5 years). The bottom roller also do not have side vents to allow side suction meaning you are only able to pick up what you roll over, this is particularly not helpful in corners. Maneuverability: The unit feels well balanced and light giving easy use and ability to maneuver around furniture. The addition of the powered pet roller helps complete the stairs with ease. Photo / Video: In the photos attached you will see the section of floor ripped up and also the hoover bogging down on thick rug.

Fantastic!
I researched a lot as wanted a cordless but couldn’t afford to buy a Dyson! We had a Dyson ball for years and it started to die and I’d wanted a hand held for a long time. We have 2 cats, so there’s hair everywhere and we moved somewhere with laminate flooring and didn’t realise how many crumbs we make! This Vax is perfect for just running over the floors quickly, and I love the light! It means you can see along the edges of the kitchen cabinets! It’s great. The suction is great. It gets all the cat hairs of the sofa and carpets. It’s great on the stairs too, so much easier than an upright! I was concerned about the bin capacity, but it’s fine. If I’m doing the whole house on a proper clean I have to empty about 3 times, but we’ve got a 4 bedroom house and I don’t think that’s bad. The battery will do the whole house in one go or last for over a week if just refreshing the lounge and kitchen areas. The only downside is I have weak shoulders and this sometimes they ache after using it for a while, and it’s just because the weight is by your hand rather than by the floor. Honestly I’d probably ache after I used any cordless, so I don't know how it compares to others. All in all, we are over the moon with it! It just sits in the wall behind the door, its so handy and it works so well!! I think it’s a bargain for the price! I don’t think that a super expensive one would be that much better! If you’re still not sure I read the Which Best Buy report and that was really helpful, as well as a lot of product reviews
