Shrimp seem healthy and happy
I recently added more shrimp to my aquarium and was looking for products to help aid with their health so when I came across these rocks I decided to try them out. I was initially surprised by how small they were til I realized I ordered the smallest size (duh), so I plan to order the larger size of rocks in the future. I followed the directions and soaked the rocks til they stopped fizzing then added then to my aquarium. So far the new shrimp I acquired (cherry and blue velvet shrimp) seem to be active and look healthy. But the biggest difference I've noticed was with my lone amano shrimp, he seemed to always hide, wasn't very active and never seemed to grow to the size of most amano shrimp despite being a year old. A month after adding these rocks to the tank, I was shocked to see him not only actively swimming about the tank but was also much larger in size and looking healthier than before adding the rocks. So far I feel these rocks are definitely worth adding to your aquarium if you own shrimp, and they also seem to compliment the natural look of my tank.

would order again if needed for sure. Good quality great price.
I received these shrimp yesterday, and I couldn't count how many there were but it was more than 20. I believe I counted 31, 33 and 31 again...so somewhere in the 30'2 probably. They all arrived alive and active. I followed seller instructions as far as placing them in a container to come up to room temp. I worked the night I got them so I put an air stone in with them and left them overnight. I did NOT follow the drip acclimation instructions, due to having to work again, so I only did 2 hours rather than the 4 they said to do. I only lost 1 shrimp doing it that way. I do believe my betta has been hunting some of the smaller ones which I'm okay with since I got so many more than ordered/needed and it's good stimulation for him. Overall it's a great price for what you receive. I would 100% buy again if needed but I think I'll be good on shrimp for quite a while now.

MY Shrimp lovethem!
Great product! My shrimp immediately jumped on it pretty much as soon as the rock hit the bottom of the tank.

Not quite as described but a nice addition to my tank
These are not quite as advertised. First off, I got 3 rocks, lol, and they're much larger than expected. The description says “Every pack contains a few pieces of rocks (0.5 inch on an average) surrounded by the rock powder. One pack is enough for a 14 gallon tank and lasts 3 months.” Based on this, I was expecting a handful of small gravel type stones. I have a 2.5gal microtank and I chose these for their smaller size as I was concerned about a mineral overdose with the larger stones especially since my water is slightly hard. (Harder water can cause them to break down faster.) The 3 rocks I received are much larger than .5in but still fairly small and each one is slightly larger than the last. I added the smallest one to my tank as directed soaking it first in a separate bowl. There was no “rock powder” in the pkg and there was no visible fizzing during the soak, just a faint fizzing sound. I did the vinegar test before adding it to my tank and was happy to find that there was no reaction, so these are non acidic and safe for shrimp. To be clear, shrimp do not feed on these. The rocks slowly release beneficial minerals into the water column over time and I'm not sure how effective these are. Again, I only added one small stone. My shrimp don't seem to notice or mind it, and it hasn't affected my water conditions at all. My tank is fairly new so I monitor water parameters pretty carefully. I'll keep an eye on it for the next few weeks and update my review if I notice any significant changes, good or bad. I have a few neocardinia shrimp, 1 nerite snail, and a small school of ember tetras. The stone has been in there for a few days and so far so good. The stone doesn't seem to be softening, disintegrating, or leeching minerals too much or too quickly. I haven't noticed any behavioral changes in any of my critters and no fatalities. I read all the bad reviews about shrimp deaths and toxic tanks but I can't see how these are to blame unless they were added carelessly or not used as directed. Recommendations: Do not put them directly in the tank without soaking. Do not add all of them at the same time! Check your water conditions before and after adding a stone and monitor them carefully for a week or two so you can address any water issues before they result in fatalities. Overall, I'm happy with these. It looks nice in my tank and hopefully will be beneficial to my shrimps and snail. They shipped quickly and even though I only got 3 small pcs, they are very long lasting so I think the price is fair.

Disappointed
These rocks are so tiny. I thought they would be a little bigger than what they actually were. I understand is for shrimp and the shrimp are tiny, but these rocks are even tinier a little disappointed that’s why he got three stars.

It's work and im happy with it
I like it, well my shrimps seem to like it im assume. Shrimps wont be on it cuz it not foods. It ca+mg rock that slowly released in the water column making the water ideal for shrimps health and successful molting. Other than your water parameters of course. Everyday i see new molts laying around the tank with no dead shrimps. Will continue buying it, 1 bag could last for a couple months in my 20 gal tank. I also have it in my mystery snails tank and seem to keep their shell healthy as well.
