The number of positive reviews here speaks volume about the quality of these steak knives. I've been shopping around for a high-quality set of sharp steak knives for over a year already. I was initially planning to go for the Pro-S steak knives (4-set) since it complement my Henckels Pro-S knife collection, but I've realized that it cost 150 bucko here on Amazon! This twin-gourmet set is considerably less, and I decided to try it out. To my surprise, this is a very good set of knives. It has a small serrated section at the front 1/3 of the knife (near the tip), while the rest of the knife is non-serrated edge, but still pretty sharp. These knives fit perfectly into my Henckels bamboo block; as I quickly threw away the generic retail packaging. The knives have a nice weighed feel and cutting through beef and chicken into small chunks is easy. For the price I'm paying on Amazon, it's very very hard to find a better value. Of course, my Henckels kitchen knives are sharper, but their purpose is totally different. As for the cons, I realized that one of the knives has faded logo/etching (reject maybe?). Also, to shave cost, there is no bolster between the blade and the handle. Take a look at the Pro-S picture and you can clearly see the difference. Nevertheless, this is a great set for the price, and a good stopgap until I can afford the ultimate Pro-S steak knife set.

The knives arrived at least 2 days before they were projected to get to my door. We were having a steak dinner that night, so I was delighted in the early delivery. They are very sharp, and cut through the steak with very little pressure. I'm told they will hold their sharp edge for a long time. I hope so. Although I believe it said they were dishwasher safe, I do not wash my knives in the dishwasher. Thank you for a very good product at an excellent price.

I have an assortment of JA Henckel and Zwilling Henckel knives ranging from their mid-quality point to their 'pro' level and have been happy with them all. So naturally when I wanted some new steak knives, I went to see what Henckel had to offer and ended up with this set. The handle style matches my existing ones. The blade is flexible but not too flexible , the the blades are super sharp with a micro-serrated edge. I have cleaned them the same as the rest of my Henckels, individually by hand and drying right after and none of my blades have rusted, these are new though so it might be some time before the potential for rust sets in. Used them a couple of times over the Holidays to cut beef and they worked flawlessly , cut beef like butter. Very happy to have these knives in my collection and if I ever need a set of eight, i'll pick up another one of these sets for sure.

I previously purchased a different set that was way too cumbersome and heavy. After returning that set I purchased this one, and I'm in love. The size is perfect, it is easy to hold, and the blades are good and sharp with a nice serrated grip. It is durable enough to cut through steak, and grippy enough to cut through cherry tomatoes. 100% recommend!

These perfectly match our 20+ year old Zwilling knives. Other than the writing on the blade being a bit blacker on the new ones, you can’t tell them apart. So I know they will give us many years of use. They stay sharp, they don’t rust, and the handle is a nice size and shape, it feels balanced, not heavy in my hand.
