Great picture quality, easy to use
I'm very pleased with this, even though it was more than I wanted to spend - it was worth it. I use it as a hamstercam (ie night pet camera to see what the hamster gets up to and check on her). Previously I had a Littlelf one (I've had two actually but kept dropping them and breaking them). I originally sent for another Littlelf one and they are not the same any more - they are also branded differently and have terrible picture quality now - really bad. So I had to find something else. I got this one based on the reviews. You need a micro sd card for recording but everything else is included. It was easy to set up via the app. However one thing I found disconcerting at first, when looking back at the recordings, is it didn't record continuously all night (even though I had continuous recording turned on) - it recorded only when it detected motion. However I actually prefer it as now I can see which bits to watch the next day instead of having to scroll through a full night's footage. Now if they just made one with a tripod bush on the bottom I'd be really happy. Because I need to use ours on a tripod to get it in the right place in front of the cage. Instead I have to use bluetack and masking tape.

Eufy 2k Indoor Pan Tilt Cameras
I’ve been using the eufy Security Solo IndoorCam E220’s for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. Setup was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi connection is solid, which is essential for uninterrupted live streaming and motion alerts - connected quickly and easily to the Eufy app. The camera’s 2K resolution delivers clear video, even in night vision mode, which gives me peace of mind knowing I can see what’s going on day or night. The pan and tilt functionality is fantastic; I can move the camera around directly from the app to get a full view of the room, which feels like a nice upgrade compared to static cameras. It does a good job of differentiating between people and pets, so I’m not bombarded with unnecessary notifications every time my pet wanders by. The motion tracking feature is responsive, and I like that it follows movement across the room rather than just sending a single snapshot. It’s not Homebase compatible, but honestly, it works fine as a standalone device with cloud or SD storage options. It’s also compatible with voice assistants such as Alexa, so I can bring up the live feed on my smart display with a quick command, which is handy. Overall, it’s a quality indoor camera that’s packed with useful features and well worth the price.

Quiet, Good Quality indoor smart camera
Overall I find this product great and far superior than the cheaper unbranded cameras, it has a great app and it is priced well. However I'm disappointed to see that this does not come with an sd card , you have to buy this separately, and where Eufy have done great in the past to keep subscription free (there spotlight cam comes with 4gb and wireless base station 16gb), i see this as a stepping stone to charging for subscriptions with their own cloud based service (not sure of uk price, they advertise the dollar price on the app at $2.99 per device or $9.99 for up to 10). Also with this camera needing an internal memory card, what's stopping Billie the Burglar from spotting the camera and then fleeing with both the camera and video evidence of his great escape! Eufy need to allow the video footage to also be stored on the hub, out of sight from Billie the Burglar. The only way around this without buying the cloud subscription would to buy a separate NAS hard drive as this camera is compatible with the RTSP protocol I sincerely think there is a close match with Arlo and Eufy. Eufy offer value and a great app, but Arlo offer the greater design with free 5 day cloud storage on there 1080p models. I do own both and I'm thinking of selling the arlo ones on ebay. 5 days free storage isn't enough for me when I go on holiday This camera can be put absoultely anywhere , ceiling, wall (stand sold seperately) or free standing and setup is straightforward I particularly like the tracking feature and it does work well It has a built in alarm that can activate when motion is detected This camera is compatible with alexa, I'd just like them to add one more feature, for Alexa to annouce when motion is detected (arlo cameras do this!). I will then update this review to 5 stars.

Great quality Camera
This is a quality camera especially for the price. I've been so impressed. I felt a bit overwhelmed searching for the right camera as I didn't want one that required a subscription but wanted to be able to review and download the videos. I've recently taken on a rescue dog and he has an occasional howl after just being left. The camera alerts me to the sound and I'm able to speak to him through the camera and he settles really well. It's taken a lot of stress out of him getting used to being left. The picture quality is great too. I bought a memory card to use in the camera - set up was easy and the app is also user friendly.

Good camera, gateway to a eufy CCTV system
If you’re not familiar with the Eufy brand, get ready for a surprise. It’s a relatively affordable , feature laden and high quality electronic manufacturer, which is a subsidiary of Anker - who produce some of the best charging cables and power banks. This wireless camera can be used standalone or within a system of similar cameras from the eufy range, as well as integrated with alarm systems and doorbells. The app is relatively straight forward, and you can set things up like geofencing (turning on the notification features by your own location automatically I.e. home/away), and setting up your own schedules on a timer (I.e. if you work 9-5, you can set the system up to record any movement between these times and for it to alert you that something wrong - with a quick snapshot in your notifications) relatively easily. You can have continuous recording, however the amount of footage you can keep will obviously depend on the size of the micro SD card you put into the camera (which has to be bought separately). Also as a side note, in order to insert the MicroSD card into the camera, you need to push the lens area up to the ceiling and a small slot will appear that you can slide the MicroSD card into. I’ve got it so that the camera will only record if it picks up movement in a certain location - although if I just want to ‘check in’ I can view a live view at any time. I’ve added a screenshot of the continuous recording timings dependingkk no on the MicroSD card used, direct from the app. After you play around with the app for a little while, you will get used to the controls for the tilt and pan etc - the motion is really smooth, and also - very very quiet! There is a speaker on the camera, so you can speak through the app with your voice coming out of the camera, which is obviously handy as a deterrent, and you can also set it up so if it senses movement an alarm will sound. Granted this alarm isn’t too loud, but it can serve as a slight shock and if you’ve got someone doing something they shouldn’t, it may deter them. Through the app as well, you can manually trigger this alarm sound. Picture quality is very clear, both in normal mode and night vision mode - I don’t really have anything bad to say about the picture quality for a camera that cost roughly £40. The camera only needs to be connected to a plug point for it to be ready to work and will connect Via your wifi - long gone are the days of wired CCTV systems with hundred of feet of wire for the power and the signal. What slightly let’s this down is it’s motion detection and tracking system. Let’s start with the first, as I have it setup to record if motion is detected - it may be a second or so after said motion is detected that the camera starts to record - sometimes, this is not good - and examples I’ve seen from other reviews such as someone throwing something at window and smashing it, means that as it happened so quickly the camera failed to pick it up. The motion tracking is a useful feature, as it will keep a person in the middle of the shot, but can than can be a bit jerky, and the added movement sometimes doesn’t allow the camera to focus on the persons face - I used to have it turned on, but due to these reasons I’ve turned it off to just record a single area. Overall, I’ve had this camera roughly 8 months, and it works well and for its intended purpose. For the price I paid (roughly £40) you won’t get a better security camera. The app is relatively intuitive and works well, the notifications work great to let you know something has been spotted - I can see myself getting a few more cameras (maybe some of the bigger outdoor ones) and adding to this system.

Fantastic value for money
Amazing for the money! I can’t believe how good this camera is for the money. I didn’t read much into it before purchase but here are some of the features I found when running through the settings: Set a detection zone and pet command - eg put a zone over the sofa and if it detects a pet in that zone it will say a command (e.g. off) Security customisation - you can set all sorts of options for when and what the camera will record, set it to a schedule (i.e. record at night but not in the day) or set it to geo location mode so it will record once you leave the area around your house Two way talk - can hold a button on the app and speak Human and pet detection - this works fantastic, all the notifications I have had correctly state whether pet or human - this is necessary as you can set it to only alarm for a human so you pet won’t set it off Cry alarm - you can choose if you want it to detect crying and alert you so also would make a fantastic baby monitor. I have two sisters with top brand baby monitors well in excess of £100 and this camera is far superior! The night vision is fantastic - so clear! (See picture) I’ve had it set up and running for a couple of days and there has been no issues (once you get used to it following you around the kitchen of course!). Only point to note is if you watch the live stream there is a delay of 3 to 4 seconds but this is fine for our purposes. I found when watching clips of motion it recorded it does seem to start the recording slightly before the motion takes places so imagine it was always be recording snippets and not saving if no subsequent motion. It’s a strong 5 stars from me!

Almost as good as being there!
We already have four external eufy cameras, but having just acquired two new cats and needing them to settle into a room of their own, I thought a dedicated CatCam would save disturbing them too often. The Solo Indoor Cam - being mains powered and having its own Memory Card storage - seemed the ideal choice. Adding it to my existing eufy system was very easy. The settings offer a wide range of audio/video options and sensitivity - from live action to constant recording. No Memory Card is included so you have to supply your own, up to 128 GB. The tracking system is very effective, although two cats in the frame can cause a certain amount of indecision! And the slight clicking noise as it does so will attract their attention. But colour rendition and image quality is outstanding. Two way audio is available, but I haven’t as yet tried to have a conversation with them. False positives have occurred, but rarely and mainly at low light levels. If not recording continuously, then individual files can be copied to my iPad at a touch. The only difficulty I had was adding this camera to my wife’s iPad so that she could independently watch the cats. But that may have been more to do with me than the system! In summation, an excellent, reliable and entertaining addition to our eufy system. Stood on a shelf or fixed to a wall or ceiling, it will give 360 degree cover - but probably too obvious to use for surreptitious surveillance.

Great indoor security camera and is compatible with Homebase 3
Received this today and was easy to setup via the app. Just for those who want to know I was able to set this camera up with the Homebase 3, so I'm very happy with that. There was a firmware update waiting for it so I have updated it. Also it does come with a UK/Ireland 3 pin power adaptor.

NO WHERE TO HIDE
had recently purchased the Eufy Cam 2 for my home’s security but soon realized I needed an indoor camera especially one that can be moved to keep an eye on the cots of my twin girls while they are sleeping. Having been thoroughly satisfied with the performance of the Eufy Cam 2, I looked no further than them for an option and lo and behold they had just released the Eufy Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt. Eufy again to my rescue. Anker Innovations’ smart home sub brand, Eufy, has made strides building up its portfolio. The Eufy Cam 2 and Eufy Security Video Doorbell have proven to be top contenders in their respective areas, but now comes the task of taking security inside of the home with an indoor camera. The Eufy Security Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt is an intriguing option for watching over your home and protecting your privacy. Here’s my review :- Design :- Typically Indoor Cameras have a fixed viewing angle and are best situated in corners to maximize their coverage but Eufy’s Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt can rotate 360 degrees horizontally and pivot 96 degrees vertically. With this feature, however, it can be placed anywhere and still cover all corners – and that’s despite the camera’s moderate 125-degree field of view. The Eufy Security Indoor Cam Pan and Tilt offers a few notable features that preserve your privacy in the home. First and foremost, there’s a microSD slot for local storage, in addition to the cloud storage that’s available. It’s peace of mind for those who want to ensure that the footage recorded by the camera remains private. Secondly, the camera can be turned off through the app, resulting in the camera tucking itself away — thus exposing its microSD slot. It can effectively work as a privacy shutter, which is nice, because the camera lens is completely obstructed. However, I wish there was a button on the camera itself that could cover the camera and mute the mic. There’s also an LED light on the base of the camera that blinks red to indicate the live stream is being accessed. The Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt comes with motion and sound detection, the ability to distinguish between humans and pets, and it can recognize the sound of a baby crying. It also supports Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit—including HomeKit Secure Video, which allows for the analysis of recorded video clips on a local HomePod, iPad, or Apple TV, as well as encrypted video storage in iCloud. The camera supports up to 128GB of local storage via a microSD card (no card is included). Ease of Use :- You control the pan-and-tilt camera with the Eufy Security app. It guides you through the process of pairing the camera to your phone and connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. You just need scan the QR code on the device and enter your network login credentials. The camera appears on the app’s device screen with the name you gave it during the setup and a screenshot of its current view. Pressing the play button here opens the live feed. The layout is clean with live stream at the top, camera controls at the bottom—with the exception of big directional dial smack in the middle. Pressing any of the four cardinal points rotates the camera in that direction. It responds quickly and moves smoothly. You can calibrate the pan-and-tilt and adjust the rotation speed on a 1-5 scale in the settings. In addition to controlling the pan-and-tilt yourself, you can set the camera to lock on to any moving object it detects by enabling motion tracking. This worked well in my testing, with the camera shadowing a family member or if you have a pet and following them anywhere they went. In a real-world scenario, this would allow you track the movements of an intruder, eliminating the blind spots created by a fixed-angle camera. Performance :- Having experienced Eufy’s AI detection previously, I knew how accurate it could be, and it didn’t disappoint this time. People were identified as humans. Every notification includes a large screenshot of the triggering person/pet that you can tap to open the captured video clip. If you don’t want to drown in a tide of these alerts, there are several ways to manage them. You can adjust the sensitivity of both motion and sound detection to receive fewer of all alerts, or you can select only the types of sound and movement you want to monitor. You can also opt to receive alerts for only those events you want to know about, change the interval time between two event notifications, and choose the content you want included in notifications and how those are delivered (text only; text first, then thumbnail; or text and thumbnail together). Value for Money :- The Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt, offers a raft of security features for an unbeatable price. It’s best suited to large spaces where its pan-and-tilt and motion tracking will help you cover a lot ground, and its tack-sharp resolution and intelligent alerts should satisfy first-time camera owners and seasoned home security pros alike.
