Digital Alarm Clocks for Bedrooms, Dual Alarms, 7.5-Inch Large Display

I’ve been using this PPLEE alarm clock for a couple of weeks now and it’s exactly what I needed. The large 7.5" LED display with those big 2.1" digits is super clear — I can easily read the time from across the room, even without my glasses. The 5-level brightness dimmer is a nice touch; I keep it low at night so it doesn’t light up the whole room and crank it up during the day. Setting the two independent alarms is straightforward with the dedicated buttons, and they don’t interfere with each other. Great if you and a partner (or just different weekday/weekend schedules) need different wake-up times. The volume is adjustable and gets loud enough for heavy sleepers without being harsh, and the 9-minute snooze works as expected. The USB port is convenient for charging my phone overnight so I don’t need an extra outlet. It’s plug-in powered (adapter included) with battery backup to keep the time and alarm settings during outages. Simple controls, no complicated menus just a solid, no-frills digital clock that does its job well. Highly recommend for bedrooms, kids, seniors, or anyone who wants a basic, reliable alarm with a big display.

simple design, easy to read, numbers large enough to be seen from across the room without problem. alarm works well, not hard to set, volume adjusts without problem.

My Mom needed a large digital display clock and this fit our needs. Given the price (under $10) and quality, it was as expected. The numbers were large enough to been seen across the room which my Mom wanted (she over 88 years young). The price was good and even had an extra outlet for charging too. Depending on price, would buy again.

I previously had a radio/alarm clock with battery backup where the battery backup stopped working. We have frequent power interruptions, so I wanted an alarm with battery backup. I don't ever use the radio feature, so one with just alarm was sufficient. And I like having two alarm settings. This clock fit the bill at a reasonable price, and other reviews seemed good. I like that all the routinely used time and alarm controls are easily accessible on the top. Some other alarm clocks have these settings on the back, which is inconvenient. The clock and alarm times are easy to set, and controls are obvious and intuitive. The "Dimmer" button allows you to easily adjust the brightness of the display. When Alarm 1 and/or 2 is set, little images appear on the left side of the screen showing they are on. Pressing the "Alarm Off" button turns these off (press once if only one alarm is set, press again if both are set). To set the alarms, press the one you want to set (Alarm 1 or Alarm 2), and the display will start flashing. Use the hour and minute buttons to set. Once set, the time will continue to flash for a few seconds then hold at what you set. Or you can press the alarm button again or the "Snooze/OK" button to stop the flashing and register your setting. You can adjust the alarm volume with the Volume +/- buttons on the left side of the clock. A tone is sounded each time you press so you can hear the volume. When the alarm goes off, pressing the Snooze button will give you an extra 9 minutes until it goes off again. Or you can press the "Alarm Pause" or "Alarm Off" button. "Alarm Pause" turns off the particular alarm (1 or 2) for 24 hours so it won't beep again until the next day. "Alarm Off" turns it off so it won’t beep again until you turn it back on. Once you set times for the Alarm 1 and Alarm 2, these times are retained each time you turn them off and back on, unless you change them. (This seems obvious, but I mention it only because one review I read seemed to indicate this might not be the case.) You can tell if Alarm 1 and/or 2 is set to go off by whether the small icons on the left side of the screen are showing. If an alarm is off, just press the Alarm 1 and/or 2 button to turn back on. The icon will then display on the screen. There is a button on the right side of the clock to toggle modes between either 12 hour (AM/PM) or 24 hour (e.g., military time). Also, if you hold this button in for about 3 seconds, it will add an hour to the current time and display a little "DST" (daylight savings time) symbol on the right side of the face (i.e., "Spring forward"). Pressing it again for about 3 seconds will subtract an hour and remove the DST symbol (i.e., "Fall back"). This saves having to re-set the time twice a year. All very logical and intuitive. One other thing to mention. Several unboxing videos by some reviewers seem to wonder what the two little black square pieces are that are packaged with the clock. I'm not sure why this seems confusing. These are obviously feet. They each have a little post on them, and there are a couple of holes in the back of the clock to insert them. These are easy to insert and fit snugly. They provide a little more width to the base to make the clock more stable, so it won't tip over when you go to hit the Snooze or Alarm Pause or Off buttons. The only slight negative observation I have is that the display can be a little glary and washed out in bright sunlight when viewed from across the room. Making the display brighter helps, but then it is too bright if you wake up and look at the time during the night. As a result, I tend to set the display brightness towards one of the middle settings. This is obviously a personal preference that will vary. All-in-all, this is a nice little alarm clock with big numbers that are easy to read without glasses at a very reasonable/inexpensive price.

This clock has easy to read setting control buttons on top. You can set the brightness levels to 5 different levels to suit your situation. The battery backup works- I set it up the time and inserted the 2 AAA batteries in my office and then unplugged it and set it up in another room about 15 minutes later and the time was just where it should be.

A great alarm clock. Easy to set up and use. The dimmer allows you to adjust for ambient light conditions, and the backup battery is great for places that might suffer from frequent power outages, meaning it doesn't have to be reset after an outage.

I set different alarms depending on my work assignment that morning, so that feature is very useful. • Adjustable volume option — I’m a light sleeper, and the volume level works perfectly for me. • Design is simple and straightforward. If you just want something functional and not decorative, it does the job. ❌ Cons: • It does feel a bit cheap in build quality. If you’re looking for something more durable or decorative, this may not be it. • I paid around $10, and honestly, that feels slightly higher than what the product is worth. You could probably find something similar at a discount store for less. • The two small back stand pieces that keep the clock upright don’t fit very snugly and tend to slip out. Overall: This isn’t a premium or stylish clock, but if you’re just looking for a basic alarm clock with battery backup and dual alarm settings, it works fine. It’s functional and practical — just don’t expect high-end build quality.

Alarm clock works but people should know the alarm clock can only be plugged in. Only reason for batteries is to keep the time or alarm if a power outage occurs. I was hoping alarm clock could run on battery or by cord with either as an option and description of item on amazon wasn’t clear. Display screen is clear and not too bright

It’s very easy to use you can plug it or use batteries. If you don’t have batteries once you unplug it it will stop working
