Makes for a great frame
I used this product as a frame for my 7" display in my pc, I sprayed it white to match my theme. Fit very snug around the display, for what I wanted to use it for, it was perfect for me.

Works well, fairly easy to assemble. Fits Elecrow 7" LCD. Take the protective film off!
OK, I'll start by addressing the complaints that this item is 'not the right color' or 'made from the back of a dresser'. It is black, just like in the pictures. The parts are covered with a brown paper protective film which peels off.It took me about ten minutes to assemble. The feet brackets can be put on two ways - so the stand sits with the bottom edge flush with the table top, or slightly higher with a gap under the bottom edge. I have a Pi 400, and assembling the feet so there is a gap under the screen allows all the USB and HDMI cables to neatly pass under the monitor.Like one other reviewer, I did notice that the ribbon cable for my Elecrow 7" LCD touched the frame because the cutout was a little too small. Ten seconds with a file fixed that.It does what it was supposed to do - holds my 7" touchscreen. It wasn't expensive and it works. It's not particularly pretty, but I'm usually looking at the screen not the surround.

Its OK but not thwe sort of case I was expecting
This 7inch small screen case is OK, but not what I was expecting, as it been cut in layers that you use to sandwiches your 7 in screen and not as a TV or Monitor case, that boxes you monitor. Its also mean dorm resins or plastic not metal, main even though it seem ridged enough for a desk. I doubt it protect you screen on the move, in a bag or from weather/ dampness/ liquids. Its not for the novice to build, as its a bit of a maccanno kit to build. Very narrow screws require a very narrow screwdriver. Its OK and at a reasonable price, but not what I was expecting at all.

No instructions to assemble but does the job.
Does the job but there were no instructions to assemble luckily Iām quite handy with diy but someone who finds it difficult would be scratching their head wondering how and where to start. Also if the screws where to be flush with the acrylic when screwed in and possibly black would be a good look. Other than that for now does the job for my pc sensor panel

Does not fit
The 7 inch screen shown in the item pictures looks very similar to my display, yet the item does not fit. The hole is not big enough to get the screen through and would need considerable modification to make it fit.The item is also quite brittle, just pushing it a little to see if I could tempt the screen in and it snapped in 2 places!I would advise you look elsewhere and to avoid this item

Doesn't fit, no instructions
Purchased this as Amazon promoted it as "frequently sold together" with the 7" touch screen that I bought.I don't mind assembling things myself, but this comes with absolutely no instructions and I quickly found out that it wouldn't fit easily.I filed off about 2mm on the inside to make it fit, only to find out that the screw holes don't line up with the screen and that the bolts that are supplied are not long enough. Will make this work with newly drilled holes, but this is totally doesn't fit the Jun-Saxifragelec 7 inch IPS Touch Screen

Fits the 7ā Elecrow screen perfectly.
I have a 7ā Elecrow 1024x600 touchscreen display and couldn't find a case for it. Just before breaking out the plastic sheet and hacking something up I had one more look and found this. The physical dimensions and interface placings are exactly the same. In fact it would be hard to argue that they are not made by the same manufacturer. The case/stand is great and only takes a few minutes to assemble around the display.

Sturdy construct, assembly instructions could be better
First of all, if you read reviews saying this case is not black, is unfinished, etc, just ignore them. The reviewers clearly didn't read the instruction image where it states to peel off the protective film that is on both sides of each piece. Because the case is a high gloss finish, it can scratch easy, so the film is there to protect it until you assembly. I suggest building on a cushioned surface because of this as well. The case is very sturdy, and fits 7" PI lcd screens perfectly. I fitted the ELECROW 7-Inch Raspberry Pi Screen with no issues. Overall, very pleased with the case. There is not assembly instructions included in the box unfortunately, and the image on the Amazon page is not entirely clear. So if it helps others here is how I assembled:1) Peel all the protective film off!2) Place the two frames with the large centre cutouts (marked as 1 in the instruction picture) on top of each other, with the small cut out notch on the bottom left corner (this is to allow space for the LCD screen ribbon I believe.3) Take the four largest bolts and insert them in the screw holes in the frames from underneath, so open end of bolts are pointing up.4) Place your lcd screen face down with the HDMI and USB connectors on the top left corner (see picture 2 on the instructions)5) Take the frame with the missing side (keep missing side on the left side) and place the last frame (picture 3) on top of it, with the notch of the last frame in the top left corner.6) Take the four medium size bolts and attach the two legs to the back of the last frame. Note that the legs can be fitted in one of two ways: one where the case is flat with the table surface and the second where the case is raise off the table surface. See picture 5 in instructions.7) Bring the two halves together by sliding the back frames and legs on to the four largest bolts to rest on top of the back of the lcd screen and front frames. Keep the notch on the top left so the back frame fits around the connectors. See picture 7.8) Tighten all nuts at the back and you're done!I didn't connect my screen to a PI, so I can't speak to how to install one to the back frame. You might find you need a small pliers or tweezers to hold the nuts as you tighten the bolts, as they are very small and fiddly. Hope this helps!
