Great stuff... if you know how to use spray paint!
This product works fine IF you know how to use spray cans. Shake the hell out of it, warm it in the sink and use light coats over a neutral primer. I primed with flat OD green hoping it would darken this paint a little and it did. Spray some to get the pigment flowing BEFORE you start to paint. It comes out heavy and dries fast so move fast and don't get too close. Once the pigment is flowing lay down a light coat in good light and in 10 minutes you can come back and fill in. I used it on plastic so I had 1 coat of adhesion promoter, one coat of OD flat and I put 3 light coats of this product on in 20 minutes. After a week I sealed it with clear satin and it looks great. You can't just pick it up and push the button and have i come out right. NOT for beginners.

really nice stone effect that looks sharp.
I used this as pictured with boring gray plastic pots. get gray or you will need two or more coats. 1 can will do about 4-5 of these 8" pots. Just the outside and the top lip I used this charcoal stone color with a Rustoleum stone texture as pictured to get different effects. I really like this charcoal stone texture by itself. I finished them with some UV resistant clear coat to protect the paint from water/weather. The paint is spendy but worth it to make different projects look like stone.

Still a nice color, but not a pure gray as I ...
To me, this paint has a greenish tint to it, rather than the gray shown on the cap. Still a nice color, but not a pure gray as I was anticipating.

Very translucent
This wasn’t at all what I expected and it may be because I got the light one.. but it did not cover at all.. I’d need 10 coats! I ran through the bottle with the quickness.

Very Nice ~ Just Make Sure You Shake It.
I painted stencil house numbers on a big black flat metal post and it looks great. Sort of like it was chiseled out ~ well, you know what I mean. It's a nice gray granite look that makes the numbers stand out. I'm very pleased. For the people who said it was just gray, perhaps they didn't shake it up enough to get the grit mixed in, because mine was nicely gritty.

Color is different than expected
I purchased the fine stone granite finish. The color is different from what you see on the can and photo, it has a light green tint to it, not gray as I was wanting. Also, the spray paint does not go very far. I ran out before I was done with spraying my sample board. The Rust-Oleum spray paints I bought in the same size cans still have a lot of spray paint in them. I like the fine stone texture, and the green tint is nice, just not what I was wanting for this project.

Great finish!
Wow! I love the way this paint/finish rejuvenated my lamps! I had wanted new ones in the same size and style as my big ginger jars, but couldn’t find anything—and if I had found them I’d be shelling out $750 to replace my set of three. No thanks! For $40 (1-1/2 cans to cover each of three) I’m very happy with my “new” lamps.

Cap looks grey, like stone. Painted surface didn't
I got this to paint some corrugated plastic tombstones for a Halloween display. While the cap looked like a grey stone, the reality was more like grey spray paint that was mixed with green. (without any texture, and this is precious little here,) it might look okay if you were going for a copper patina look. I actually used extra on the first one, hoping to improve the look. It didn't work. I will be trying another can of stone texture paint, but it's been several years since I last used some (and it looked great, like real stone,) and I can't remember specifics on brand or anything to get an exact replacement. I've even tried to add a bit of black spray paint (from a couple of feet up,) to get some additional depth, but not happy with the results at this price. I probably could get the same results by putting on a heavy coat of regular spray grey paint, then sprinkling some dry sand over it, and adding another coat. At least then, it wouldn't be green.
