I bought this cable to connect my workstation to a 4K TV being used as a monitor.When I connected it, I was able to set the resolution for the TV to 4K @ 60Hz. Unfortunately, there was a lot of unsatisfactory artifacting in the picture (e.g. color bleed in the text, etc.).When I changed the settings to 4K @ 30Hz, the artifacts went away. Clearly, this cable has issues with passing the 18Gbps signal required for 4K @ 60Hz.So...yes, you can use it for 4K content. No, don't use it for 4K at 60Hz content.Otherwise, it's a decent cable for the money. The clip on the DisplayPort end holds a bit too tightly and is difficult to disengage.

Cost ~$30 at Target and difficult to find at many local stores.Cables are Made in China but feels sturdy and thick.Plug the HDMI end to the monitor while the Displayport end plugs into the PC's graphic card's port or directly into the port if it's an internal video card.It works!Issue:The product is DIFFERENT than the one pictured!The Displayport end does NOT have a Press down area to release the tiny clips to release from the PC's video port.The Target version of the product has the Displayport end is Very THICK and you MUST press HARD on top/bottom so it Unlocks the 2 tiny clips that Locks the end into the port. If you don't, then you may rip or damage the video card port and possibly the cable.

I have an HP Omen 15 laptop and a ViewSonic monitor, when I plugged in the adapter the monitor stated there was no input found. I tried three different hdmi cords with the adapter with the same result. Absolute waste of money.

Just paid $30 for this at Target. I guess the cable is directional? It will not transmit from HDMI (my laptop) to an external monitor (display port). It's going back to the store.

If you're looking for a dual link DVI to HDMI adapter this will not work. Maxed out at 1080p.

Los materiales del convertidor son de buena calidad. No tuve ningún problema al instalarlo y no tuve ningún problema con la imagen desplegada en el monitor. Recomendable.
