I am a BELIEVER in the miracle of legitimate silk! These are amazing! I used to have the cheap satin polyester blend pillows and they helped my hair a little bit but these 100% silk with high mommy count are amazing! I got one for my husband as well and even he commented on how his hair looks nicer. They are so comfortable, so soft and not too “shiny” where you feel like you’re sleeping on something super slippery (like with satin). These are truly high quality, durable, beautiful silk pillowcases! They are worth the money! The color is a beautiful blue gray and they haven’t faded (I’ve washed them twice now). The standard size fit a queen pillowcase. These are a MUST BUY! The other good reviews are true - I looked into tons of other silk pillow case companies and bought these because of the positive reviews. BUY THIS PILLOW CASE! You won’t regret it! It truly helps with frizzy hair and clear skin.

I love that this pillowcase is real silk on both sides of the pillow just as advertised, and very smooth and comfortable to sleep on. The pillowcase is true to size, but I did have to squeeze the down pillow to place in the pillowcase as to not disturb the zipper part. I did not notice any strange smell as some reviewers indicated. This isn't the thickest material so I wouldn't be putting it in the laundry machine or dryer even on delicate cycle in the bag. Using silk pillow and silk fabric in general has been helping to calm my eczema somewhat. I have autoimmune chronic hives too and I get episodes almost every night, but silk still helps my irritated skin better than soft microfiber or even 100% cotton fabric. It also greatly helps my very long hair from getting too dry and tangled up from static. I have been using a silk bonnet too and now I always wake up with smooth hair! Much less new split ends too. To make the pillowcase last longer, I would definitely hand wash it like I'm handling silk lace scarves and air dry it. Also I make sure my hair is nicely combed and tied with silk hair tie and wear night gloves if I have any hang nails and take off my earrings so they won't snag on the pillowcase. It is, silk, after all and not the thickest kind either. For the price, this is a great silk pillow and I will be buying more in the future!

I thought I had already written a review, but here goes again. I would rate this 5 for presentation and fabric; although side note: environmentally speaking a natural fibre package would be much more aesthetically pleasing than plastic. The colour I chose is lovely (taupe), and the fabric feel is beautiful and soft, soft to the touch. As far as rocking my curls in the a.m. I do not believe there is any evidence that a silk pillow case in any way protects curly hair from losing moisture and therefore has not shown evidence of enhancing curl preservation as one sleeps. Durability cannot be rated as of yet, since I just put it on a couple of weeks ago, and it is hand wash only, hang to dry and I am guessing iron, so takes time. I say order two to four so you always have a spare. Time for the wash. I will let you know how it holds up. UPDATE: I do believe the pillow case is very luxurious on the face, but truly I do not believe the curly claim of retaining curls. I have tried wet hair, dry hair and everything in between and makes no difference. Quality is good, washed and dried pillow case looks good.

I have Touretts. What does that have to do with a pillowcase? Well, you know those "fidget toys" like the fidget cube and spinner? Those arent made for kids to be annoying with, theyre made for people like me and people with other ailments to advert energy to the toy rather than have "tics". Fidget toys dont do anything for me, infact I find them annoying regardless of who is holding them. Well then you might say "Theres medication you can take" No. Ive been though all of that and long story short. No. You know what get my Touretts fueled engine going? Anything soft like satin ribbon, silk, and especially feathers. Now. All of my pillows and blankets are made with down, but I cant rest my head on a giant feather; they don't make giant birds anymore. As for satin, yes it is wonderfully soft and smooth but it becomes dingy after a while, so a pillow case made of satin would be a waste of money for me. I buy giant rolls of satin ribbon from the craft store and cut sections off at a time to rub into my hands, its odd but it works. Now as for silk, Ive never been much of a fan because the silk ive been exposed to was cheap and crummy... But oh my God. Oh your God. These pillow cases. Imagine constantly having the urge to violently crack your neck to the point that you're constantly sore and tender. Imagine going to bed and being unable to fall asleep because the neck cracking continues, remember, you have no control over Touretts. HOWEVER there are things you can do to advert the energy. Like sleeping on the softest, most wonderful silk pillow case youve ever had the pleasure to own. Im obsessivley picky over the type of softness that touches my face, like I said, satin ribbons and feathers get me going but I couldnt stand the cheap silk. This silk is absolutley stunning. I have three pillows, a case on each, and the moment THE MOMENT my face touches the silk my various ticks stop. THEY STOP INSTANTLY!!! Do you know just how incredible that is!? Its. I dont even have the words for it. I received my package and eagerly opened its contents. I opened one of the neatly packed pillow cases and when my hands touched that silk my world changed. I went straight to the sink, cleaned it, then hand washed my cases and let them dry. I put those suckers on my pillows before I went to bed and my boyfriend missed me because I usually stay up with him and his odd hours, but on this night I was out cold. Ive never had such a complete sleep before, the moment my face touched the silk my tics stopped and I felt the sweet call of sleep. And when I woke up, my tics were more reserved. Still there as they always will be, but noticably improved. Alaskan Bear, thank you so much for making this product available! Youve changed my life! Ive had Touretts since childhood and I will continue to have it for the rest if my life, but the moment I make contact with your silk, my body forgets that. I cant explain to you the relief youve given me, my body actually has time to heal itself now. Thank you. Thank you.

Okay so I have been breaking out like crazy and I am researching all these changes I can make to help reduce these breakouts. I came across an article that talked about pillowcases and I decided I was going to buy one of each to see which works best I bought Satin, Silk and bamboo all which not only are antimicrobial but are also very helpful your skin and hair and do not easily absorb our oils and creams we put in in our hair and face. My first night with all my pillows (five in total, I was only able to afford one silk pillowcase for now) and I found myself subconsciously sleeping on the silk one not just because it was the softest but also because in this hot summer night it was the easiest and most comfortable one to sleep on !! I am in love with this pillow case not just because the texture but because it is absolutey beautiful the color is so rich and fabulous the feel is luxurious i feel so freaking fancy I want all 5 pillows with silk pillowcase love love love !!! I dont know about the benefits being 100% yet because its only my first week but I will tell you that I feel like my oils and creams i use (which are alot) are not as easily absorbed into my pillowcase and do stay on my face and hair better. My face does feel more moisturized and hydrated I will update you all on how they work with my acne.

This pillow case saved my hair. I’ve tried wearing a bonnet but it always falls off, so I tried this. I looked for a genuine mulberry silk case and it was worth the splurge. I love it so much. It is a zipper case so make sure the size is right. To wash it I use cold water and hand wash it in the sink so it doesn’t shrink. It is super comfortable and completely takes away my frizz

While this is a nice pillowcase, it is not quite as good as some of the others we have owned. For some reason, it seems to stay wrinkled, which typically doesn't happen with silk pillow cases. The quality is nice, as it is holding up well, but perhaps some higher quality material would make it not as wrinkly.
