Recommend! A few things to know.
Today, I am ordering my third replacement. Mine broke. I am ordering again because I am so pleased with the performance and results I have with this device, I can’t be without one so I have a spare. I highly recommend this device for men who are incontinent for any reason. It works. It is easy to use and is not uncomfortable to wear. That being said, there are a few things you need to know. The device comes with 3 “stabilizers”: small, medium and large. I would refer to these as “restrictors”, since they apply pressure at a point where they can restrict the flow of urine. If you hold the Large and Medium side-by-side, so you see the letters L and M stamped in the detent, you can clearly see that the medium is bigger than the large. Even the picture in the manual shows the medium looking bigger than the large. A mystery to me… I use the medium stabilizer. When you clamp the unit closed there are 4 levels of tightness. I rationalize that more restriction of flow requires less overall pressure of closure. I clamp to the second notch. Very comfortable. Not too tight but works just right. It can be a work in progress for new users. On one of my units the mounting socket can loose from the bottom bar. Easy to fix with a drop of superglue. To open the clamp, you have to push the lever away from the upper bar posts and down. Bending this lower bar places stress on the bar at the point near the lower stabilizer. After months of constant use this bar will fatigue and clack. See picture. Can’t fix that. Too much stress. Get out your spare and order another. A small cost for the results. I have been using this item for well over two and a half years now with great success and satisfaction. I wear it seven 24.

Well made, very adjustable, Yet be determined: (long durability? & long term cleaning?)
Looks to be well made. The product is very adjustable. For each size, (S, M, L) there are 4 dependable clip settings, so experience will teach which setting is the best in a dependable way. Without knowing how fast the pads will wear out, durability of pads will not be known until they begin to wear or get old, but in any case, replacement pads are available, but I don't know anything about pricing. One good thing. Because there 3 sizes, and it takes two slightly different pads to use, there is 1 top pad and the choice of 3 bottom pads. Once your habit is established, only one size of the bottom pads will be used, but in the long term, all three sizes use identical pads with S,M, or L internal mounting plastic structure, and apparently one can stretch the bottom pad quite a bit to to put it on the internal plastic structure. This may means that when the bottom pad starts to wear out, potentially you already have two spare bottom pad replacements that could be slipped off their internal mountings and put on the mounting of the size that you use, thus lengthening their life by a factor of three. This does not apply to the top pad as you have one of these. The comfort of wearing the device seems to be OK, so far I have had no problem with circulation, but I have not yet used it enough to find what is best. It is a little hard to tell how tight to make it, but that will become clear with habitual use. The pads with their corresponding internal plastic structures are extremely easy to remove as a unit to clean. The cleaning process promises to be very easy, WITH ONE POSSIBLE CAVEAT for the long term. I don't yet know if this caveat is important or not. The caveat is that the pads are loosely mounted on their corresponding internal structure like a loose glove and if something gets inside, it may take some effort to clean out the insides of the pads and over the long term it might become a source of contamination if you don't. There may be the possibility of urine or water getting inside the pad (e.g. inside the "glove"), although generally I don't think it will necessarily get wet in this way, as things will probably tend to stay dry when device is properly used, but I don't have experience yet to know how this would tend to turn out. If you wash the pads with soup and water, they would have to be well rinsed shaken out and let dry so that water on the inside of the pad didn't eventually mildew. Otherwise wiping off the outside can be very easy without this problem. ONLY if this turns out to be a problem in the long term: It is probably not a good idea to frequently take the pad off of its plastic mounting to clean the insides of the pad and the plastic mounting structure because to take off or put on the pad the mounting structure it would be necessary to stretch the 1/4" hole into the pad to 1 1/4" in order to get it on or off the mounting structure. Clearly this was done in manufacturing without harm to the pad, but it is not really designed to easily or frequently do this between uses. On the other hand with a bit of trouble, if it held up in this kind of manipulation, but once in a long while it may work to turn the pad inside out after taking it off of its plastic mount, and completely clean the insides of the pad and its mount. Generally, so far, I like the device and it solves a several problems for me.

The most important thing: It works.....
Another reviewer put it well when they said they never thought they'd resort to using something that looks as "barbaric" as these clamps. Add me to that list. But....when you're dealing with a non-stop dribble all day, and when the flow surges every time you stand up and you don't know if your pad is going to overflow and result in soaking everything out......you need to come up with a solution. And this clamp is a good solution because it puts SOME control back into your life. It will take you several days, if not a week or more, to truly figure out how best to adjust the clamp to balance the objectives of comfort and control. Too tight, and the clamp can be uncomfortable/painful. Too loose, and you don't stop the urine flow. But.....when it's adjusted just right, you don't even feel it on, and you have control over when to loosen the clamp and release urine from the bladder. No more wetness, no more rash, no more fear of overflows and surges, and the number of pads used per day will drop 60-70%. I suggest you try each of the 3 silicon pads provided to see which one works best for you. If I'm going out and about, and want essentially zero urine flow into an incontinence pad, I press down for 2 clicks. If I'm at home and want absolute comfort with some flow into the pad (ex. when I sleep), I only press down for 1 click. Change the position of the clamp on the shaft regularly, and if you get sore, consider putting some Desitin or petroleum jelly on the shaft. You'll get the hang of how to avoid pinching and how many hours you can wait before loosening the clamp and releasing urine. I typically go 4 hours between releases. So....the clamp has been a game-changer for me. I have control, I have greater confidence, and I feel I can do anything I want during the day without fear of surges and overflows. Good luck to you. Incontinence sucks, but this clamp makes a bad situation bearable.

does the job if aligned properly
I like this product and am fairly well pleased with the results. It is comfortable to wear (surprisingly!) and cuts off the flow of urine when attached properly. It is, however, easy to not get it in just the right spot and find that you continue to have dribbles. In this case, realignment is necessary. I still wear a pad while using it, but find that i am going through far fewer pads per day. The biggest reason I bought it was so I could avoid having to change a pad every hour when I am active (as opposed to sitting at the desk). I would recommend this for any males with incontinence issues. UPDATE: broke in half after nearly six months use. have not heard from the company after 3 (4?) business days. UPDATE 2: Got a response from the company - see below. I'm not faulting them for their response, but for $40 for a small plastic device.... well. "While the clamp is designed to be durable, with daily use of about 16 hours a day, the constant pressure and repeated opening/closing can gradually wear down the materials. That’s why we recommend replacing the clamp every 4 to 6 months for optimal performance and safety, especially with extended daily wear. Since your order was placed back in January, it has unfortunately passed our standard warranty period. "

Very disappointing!
Extremely disappointed! Very hard to use and came with little to no instructions. I emailed the company a week ago and still haven't had any response, even though they say they will respond within 24 hours. In 2019 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My entire prostate had to be removed and the fatty tissue around it removed. I explained this issue to the company in my email. I was hoping I had found an answer to my increasing uncontrollable incontinence and my 8-10 pads a day. I found immediately it was very uncomfortable and hard to maneuver. The clamp is poorly designed because of the hinge isn't adjustable causing the penis to be squashed towards the latch and getting skin caught in the latch which is extremely painful. Getting the clamp to stay in place on the penis when getting up and down is impossible and very aggravating. I would be afraid to try and wear the clamp in a meeting without a pad. If it came off, I would be totally drenched. It causes pain and chaffing. By the time I can get it tight enough to keep it from coming off and leaking, it so painful I can only wear it for 20 minutes. It is definitely not an answer to my problem. It has caused more problems. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone with major incontinence problems. There is an artificial sphincter valve that can be implanted by a surgeon, but I have mixed feelings about having that procedure. After the disappointment with the clamp, it looks more like this is what I am going to have to do.

Stops 98% of leaks is comfortable, compact and well made.
It’s super light. Quick and easy to put on and remove. Totally waterproof, easily washable and quick to dry. Once I found my correct size, I’m totally drip free. Occasionally I’ll not apply it correctly and their will be some leaking, so I still use a pad but on most days it’s totally dry (98%). I also wear it most days from 8am to 8pm or longer if I go out at night. I set my alarm on my watch and release the clamp every two hours. It’s so fast and easy I do it standing at the urinal and nobody is the wiser. I only started doing this once I had gained confidence. It’s also super for running, you don’t know you even have a clamp on. I didn’t order speed delivery and it took about 15 days to arrive. With local taxes (South Africa) and transport cost it’s not cheap but worth it I have 3 but have only used my 1st one. Had it for about 7 months now - still as good as new. I know I sound like an advertisement but it has truly changed my life. I’m now totally confident to go anywhere. I also purchased another Clamp but for me it didn’t work, and wasn’t waterproof or comfortable.

Stops the flow; No Pinching
I found that the more I used this product -- the Lundberg Clamp -- the easier it got to use and the more effective it was at stopping urine flow, and it did not take long to get there. (Skip to the end of this review to see the essential factor in getting this device to work without leaking and pinching). At this point this is my go to product and I am very, very happy with it. I find it better than the other products I have tried that are supposed to do the same thing. Three sizes come in the box. Try them until you find the one that works best for you. For me it works to put the shorter of the two arms over the top pointing down on the right and the longer arm coming up from the bottom. In that way the firmer pad is under the penis and pushing on urethra. Click the shorter end into one of the three catches on the longer arm to see if it is firm enough to block the flow. Try the other two clicks as needed. You want to take the clamp off every two hours or so. To avoid a mess hold the tip of the penis with the left hand to stop leaking until you release the clip with the right hand, open the clamp and remove it, point the tip of the penis down into the toilet and release the flow. Once you get this routine down you will be very happy. This thing works and whatever you have to do to help it work is worth it. If you feel an occasional slight pinch (rare) a little readjustment of position solves it. YOU NEED TO TEST WHICH OF THE FOUR CLICK SLOTS IS BEST FOR YOU TO USE. FOR ME IT WORKS BEST TO PUSH THE TOP ARM TO CLICK PAST THE FIRST TWO SLOTS AND LOCK INTO THE THIRD SLOT (NEXT TO THE LAST SLOT). WHEN I DO THIS I NEVER LEAK AND NEVER PINCH.

Its better than having to use multiple pads each day
What a God awful contraption I expected something rather small. In addition the ladder securing system is really ridiculous. The only time the upper pad and the lower pad are even horizontally with each other is on the last ladder notch. This creates an issue trying to align your shaft in the correct position in order the clamp it shut and having it remain in the same position(which it wont) Watch out for pinching, make sure no fleshy part gets caught in the ladder. If it does, you have to push the top part to separate it from the notch creating more pain. Now did it work? After fiddle farting with it over and over, and over, sometimes and that depends on how the clamp is secured. Going to the bathroom csn present s problem, as I went to urinate and fighting that stupid ladder system, as the clamp loosened, the built up urine just started flowing before i had set properly at the toilet and got the floor for a second or two before aiming right. I only used one pad today so in some respects it might have been worth fighting that darn ladder notch thing all day. Check photos showing uneven pads. Notch 4, the pads were properly in place. Photos showing uneven notch 1 then notch 2, then notch 3, and notch 4 I’m thinking velcro closure would be better.

Comfortable and effective.
Post having had radical prostatectomy surgery I have been left with a serious urinary incontinence problem. The NHS recommended the use of a Pacey Cuff to help control it. These product only have a life span of circa 6 months and so despite the Pacey Cuff being reasonably effective I did some research on line and decided to give the Lunderg product a go. I've been using the Confidence Clamp for 2 weeks now; for me, it is more comfortable, easier to use and more effective than the Pacey Cuff. It has the added bonus of being significantly less expensive. I work as a courier and get in and out of the cab of my van in excess of 200 times a day, the cuff found it hard to cope with this incessant movement, the Confidence Clamp takes it in its stride. It doesn't 100% control the leakage, my issues is partially stress incontinence and lifting heavy parcels - those in excess of 20kg - will often defeat the clamp but overall it is a huge improvement and I heartily recommend this product.

Excelente idea pero…
Se rompe con mucha facilidad poco durable y la calidad no mejora. Hay otras opciones más económicas y duran más, me consta.

game changer, life changer
I have been suffering from incontinence since having my prostate removal operation over 16 months ago. I have gone through a whole program of pelvic floor exercises which has helped to a degree but the leaking continued. I was going through 3 pads on the average and was getting discouraged. I went to see a urologist to look for options as I have had someone in the family who had similar experience and recovered fully from the incontinence with a "sling" operation. The urologist went through a few options which all involve operations but to my surprise said that while each will improve my incontinence to a different degree they will not cure it totally. He also said that I could try using a penile clamp which is an external device to help control the leaking. I did some researches and ended up ordering the Lunderg clamp based on the user reviews. Note that my urologist actually recommended me a different brand which is more expensive but with less favorable user reviews. I also recall that my Physiotherapist did indeed recommend the Lunderg to me before. She told me that her clients have used it and had good results. I have used the Lunderg for quite a good few weeks now. Let me just say that it was a very good decision to try out the clamp. The Lunderg was very easy to use out of the box. The instructions were clear and the procedure to put on was extremely simple. For the first week or so it was amazing. I was able to just use one pad over my boxer for the whole day! It did not take me much to get used to it. I have found that overall it is quite comfortable and it stopped the leak totally and gave me the control I have missed for so long. I was able to go out without worrying about "accidents" and not having the privacy or simply a decent toilet stall to change out the diaper/pad. It was a game changer, and a life changer. After a week of use, I had a few occasions where there would be a leak even when the clamp was locked in position. I then tried a different stabilizer size and experimented different locking positions. I also noticed that the clamp did not seem to be locking in with a "click" sound. I was not sure if this would explain the occasional leaks. I have contacted Lunderg to raise the issue and sought for advice. I was very impressed and pleased by the prompt and caring feedack from Sarah Brown who is the founder/Customer Service Manager of Lunderg. Sarah offered to send me a new clamp and sent me advices and suggestions to improve the issue I experienced. I received the second clamp and plan to be trying it to see if it will make a difference. I wanted to share my first hand experience with using the Lunderg. Even with the occasional leaks I have been very happy with the change. I am feeling like I am almost a normal person again. The ease of use and the good control Lunderg clamp brings has totally changed my life. I will update my review after more experimenting and trying the second clamp. Jun 22 2023 update: have used the clamp since Dec 2022. The clamp has continued to work well to support my day to day activities. About a month ago, the locking mechanism (the little piece with the open slots for locking the clam) has broken off. I wrote to Lunderg Customer Service and they were very responsive and sent me a replacement clamp immediately (arrived within the same week). I was very pleased and impressed with the great customer service. That has been the only issue I found to date.

Great but does have issues
This is a great product and easy to use. This is the 3rd one of this product that I have had in about 2 years. The first two broke unexpectedly and both times it was not a good time. One time we were on holidays and it left me in a very bad position. The plastic clamp area seems to break in the same spot. I ordered this clamp to have an extra in case of breakage which I am expecting to happen. I have tried the Freedom Clamp and it broke not long after I received it. I have now learned it is wise to have a spare so you will not be stuck if one breaks. Other than that I like the product.
