Worked great and looks great! Can’t beat the price. Easy to setup.

I have been using this docking station for several months and highly recommend it. I have attached 2 monitors (1 HDMI and 1 DVI), Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, Bluetooth external backup drive, and speakers. There has never been any performance or functional issue with the unit. There are additional ports available for more devices - more than I need. I am using it with a Windows 8 laptop. I particularly like that it is universal. I can change the laptop and still use the same docking station unlike others that work well but with a specific machine. It's worth the price for all the features and the no-hassle setup. There are only 2 things that I would change if it were possible - lengthen the USB cable that connects to the laptop (it's less than 3' long) and have speaker ports on the back of the unit instead of the front so the wiring isn't as awkward for the speakers.

This said it would work for multiple monitors, unfortunately that’s not the case. I had to get an adaptor for the monitor because whatever the port thing is called was too big for my dell screens, but then that only fits one monitor as well. So now I had to spend more stupid money on another adaptor that will split and fit the first adaptor. Pissed that I spent $94 on it and have to “fix it.” Got here quick though, so that’s why three stars. Otherwise I’d do what Startech did and say two stars but really only mean one star.

This has been a great alternative to the Lenovo docks we were using. They are typically a lower cost and StarTech does a great job with driver support. We have used multiple version without any issues. The one thing that I would recommend is prior to installation go to the StarTech site to get the latest driver because they do frequent updates to fix problems caused by Microsoft updates. (This is a MS Problem not a StarTech problem.)

This did 95% of what i was looking for. I just bought a new ultra book and was missing many of the ports that my old laptop had. I needed a way to connect ethernet, microphone, speakers, multiple USB devices, 1 HDMI monitor, 1 monitor using a PCI cable, and 1 monitor using a UV Plus USB converter to my new machine and ideally only have to plug in one cable each morning (other than the power supply). It did a great job except i think i was pushing what a single USB 3 cable can handle successfully. It would get pretty slow in responding when having all of that hooked up. Once i plugged the HDMI monitor directly into my computer everything else worked perfectly and the lag was gone. It was really easy to set up and other than the limitations of USB 3 this was a great solution for my needs.

This is a fantastic device! I have it hooked up with two monitors (HDMI and DVI), a keyboard, mouse and printer. I swap two different laptops with it. It is great! When it arrived with a disk with the drivers on it and no URL to download, I called the support number to get the download site. The tech support is incredible. The person stayed on the phone with me while I installed the drivers and made sure both my computers were working with the docking station. Amazing support!

I purchased a new laptop to replace my old desktop. I needed a solution to connect dual monitors to the laptop. I purchased the Startech and am glad I did. It works perfectly. It was easy to install and get everything up and running. I really like that this unit has additional USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, audio input/output and supports HDMI and DVI. I am running one monitor via HDMI and one DVI. The resolution on both monitors looks great! It looks as good as when I was using my desktop. I am very happy with this purchase. By the way, this is the same unit as the Kensington. I believe Startech makes the device and puts the Kensington name on it. The Kensington is $50 more.

I have a home office setup with three 21 inch LG monitors connected to HP Elite Book and the setup works fabulously smooth. I was waiting to write this review as other have mentioned that it did not work for them after a month or two. Now that I have used this setup for the last 6 months I can vouch for it. The issues which others faced with connection were the one's I faced it too but a simple download of DisplayLink Manager software removes all the glitches. The inbuilt Windows software will not work seamlessly. After reviewing multiple options available this is the best one at a prices is perfect.

Meine Wahl fiel auf diese Dockingstation, da bei meinem Matebook 14 zwar ein USB C Ausgang vorhanden ist, aber darüber keine Video Daten übertragen werden. USB 3.0 Ausgang ist 2 x vorhanden, also blieb nur ein USB 3.0 Dock. Es funktioniert super, ich habe einen Monitor über die HDMI Schnittstelle und 2 über das USB 3.0 Dock gleichzeitig laufen.

Reconnu immédiatement sous Windows 8.1, prévoir quelques instants quand même pour l'installation (automatique) des drivers pour chaque nouveau port virtuel et le logiciel DisplayLink. Le câble USB3 livré avec était un peu petit pour une installation sous le bureau.
