SIEMENS EQ Series Cleaning Tablets, 10 x Tablets, Pack of 1, TZ80001B

I spent well over £2,000 on my bean-to-cup coffee machine (I'm too lazy for the full on Barista experience), so skimping on the cheap cleaning tablets just didn’t make sense despite what some unnamed brands might promise..... and yes, I did try many in the early days and the results are night and day compared to these ones.... These Siemens cleaning tablets are superb. Yes, they’re pricier than the generic ones, but there’s a noticeable difference in performance and peace of mind. They dissolve cleanly, handle the build-up inside my machine far better than the budget tablets I tried, and there’s no lingering nasty residue or smell afterwards. After spending so much on the machine itself, it’s reassuring to use a product that actually does the job properly rather than cutting corners. My only gripe is the ever so slightly differing version numbers (TZ8.......). I spent almost 2 hours going down internet rabbit holes trying to see why A was different B and C etc..... My conclusion was that they were all the similar. If you value the longevity and performance of your coffee machine (and you paid a lot for it like me), these are worth every penny. I use these in my EQ700, they clean nicely, easy to use. There are no after taste issues. I find these tablets, clean with effective results, cleaning for the brewing system. Pop in, 10 minutes later, clean and clear. I always perform a full interior clean to complement the system cleaning. Tip quality, manufactured recommended tablets. I have thought of buy cheaper, but I feel it is probably worth the investment to keep the machine running in good condition. I always have nice, quality coffee after a clean. These tablets are a little expensive than cheaper brands, but after researching, I decided that for the saving of a few quid, isn't worth the gamble after the purchase of a good, quality, bean ro cup machine.

If I had to nitpick, it would be the price compared to generic alternatives — but given how well these integrate with the machine and the fact they’re used relatively infrequently, it’s a fair trade-off. After several cleaning cycles, I wouldn’t use anything else. The coffee quality stays high, the machine stays happy, and everything works exactly as intended. Would I recommend them? Absolutely — if you own a Siemens EQ coffee machine, these are a no-brainer and should be part of your regular maintenance routine. Very expensive for what they are, probably mainly due to being manufacturer branded? Do the job but there are many cheaper unbranded alternatives which perform just as well

These tablets have done a great job, to keep my machine working well.

Like most people buying these, I am scared to buy the cheaper ones incase they break my expensive machine!! I have been using these since buying the machine and all seems to be going well. I had a Siemens workman round to look at something else and we talked about the cleaning tablets and he said he would only ever use these since Siemens ones- not helpful I know but I think I will stick with these ones!

They do what they are supposed to.

The 2-in-1 thing though. It's not exactly in line with the manual's instructions to use a tablet and descaling sachet separately. If you can wrap your head around that, this works okay. Can't speak for long term use.
