Shaynecoat Raincoat for Women Black and Gold (Medium)

I bought this jacket to wear over my sweat jacket when it rains when walking my dog (I knew it ran large). It serves the purpose perfectly, it's easy and fast to put on. The hat fits well and stays on your head. The jacket came wrinkled and is still wrinkled, but I don't care. I wanted a long jacket to protect me completely from the rain. This is the second rain coat I bought because the first one was the yellow, rubbery kind & way too heavy. This coat is extremely light weight & protects your legs from the rain. I do wish it had snaps down the front, but it is large buttons. They are easy to button, so it's not a problem.

The reviews were helpful because they provided more details about just how thin the coat is. It truly is more like a fitted poncho - but it's waterproof! I don't find it particularly flattering, though it does have a drawstring at waste and hood - which I wanted. And I really like the length. I've tested it out the past couple days in the high 40s and rain. With a sweater underneath and gloves, I was just fine. It was super wrinkly when I got it. They're relaxing some but I don't think it will ever look like the photo. Overall pleased with it, and the reviews helped manage my expectations.

Love this raincoat! Very nice-looking, good material- very lightweight, easy to pack. Comes with its own pouch! Love the hood - on windy days, much easier than an umbrella. I mentioned in the questions that it was a little larger than expected. I'm a size 8 or 9, broad shoulders, wanted a roomy fit over sweaters or suits. Have been tired of Smalls being too tight.

My original review was rated one star, based on the thin material & it appeared to be held together with tape. Yes, it is thin & not the best quality, but this rain coat did the job! I have had it for two years now & it has held up during the rainy seasons. It looks great on & have received many compliments. I am 5'8" 150 lbs. with very long arms & size Med. fit perfectly.

I ordered a medium, which is my usual size. It was very roomy and had no shape. This "jacket" is really just a slightly shaped, overly-expensive rain poncho. Very disappointed, was hoping for more. At least Amazon is returning without a hassle!

Love this raincoat!! I wear it and I do not need an umbrella. I hate carrying an umbrella as I always need both hands for other things. I stay completely dry. I have had numerous compliments when I wear this. Can fold up nicely and put it back in the carry bag and stuff it in my gym bag or purse.

flimsy, smells plastic-y, and too big

Made of light weight material. Not what I had expected for a Rain/trench coat. Buttons all the way down front, hard to get on and off quickly. Goes all the way to the ground (I'm 5' and got the med.) Rather pricey for such a flimsy garment. Has about the same weight as 1 of those rain ponchos you can get at the $ store for a dollar. The bag it comes in for storage is heavier than the coat itself.
