This henna hair color is easy to use because it’s packaged in individual pouches that are already measured out. All you have to do is add the correct amount of water. I ended up using two packets to blend out my gray roots into my hair. I have porous hair so I put a lightweight oil on my scalp and hair before I applied the henna. That step helped protect my scalp and hair from drying out. I ordered the rich black in. It lived up to its name. It’s darker than my natural color, but I like the look. It isn’t stark but it also isn’t subtle. I’d forgotten that henna can make your hair feel thicker and fuller until after I dried mine and saw/felt the results. I’m really glad I found this product. I will be getting rid of all the other commercial hair dyes I’ve been using. There’s no reason to use caustic toxic chemicals when henna can do the job this well.

When using Vatika's natural hair dye, expect no strong smell. I love that it's practical to use with easy steps to follow. A variety of colors to choose from is great.

This is not at all good for sensitive skin. They have advertised as ammonia free, however this has costed me more money to recover from the rashes and swelling in my forehead, sides of my face, back of my neck, and on the eye bags. I had to go to Doctor for treatment. If you have sensitive skin, stay away from this product. Let me say, I love this stuff. It works SO well. Gotta be careful where you apply it because it did dye my sink, but I just used toilet bowl cleaner, and it went away. I feel like the "serving" size is very small, but it makes sense if you're only using it for grey coverage. I used the entire box, but my hair is down to the middle of my back. I left it on for longer than it said because in previous experience, other dyes took 4 hours. So far, it's been 3 weeks, and it's hardly lightened/lifted at all. Will def be reordering.

Hair was soft after using, and deepened my black color. I am happy with it. Doesn't contain ammonia, but be careful as it contains PPD. I am not sensitive to it so I have no problem but many people are very sensitive to PPD. As long as you are not, its a great henna color
