this product kept 2 feral cats (one pregnant one) warm and alive last year. the winter in ontario is harsh and last year we had -35 below weather with tons of snow. the cats would not come in but stayed on this pad in a sheltered area of our deck. Mom gave birth to 5 healthy kittens in the spring which we adopted and although she disappeared after that, the Dad has adapted to our home and is part of our family now. He still likes to go out and sit on his pad though, when things inside are too much for him! This product is low energy, and outdoor animals will thank you for it. I would recommend it to anyone looking to help outdoor animals in the winter. (Tip - we hooked it up to a sensored switch so we could turn it off and on from the house without disturbing the cats. Not really necessary, because the product reacts to the animal and stays cooler when not in use.)

This washable removable pad makes my job so much easier in trying to keep a clean warm bed for a stray cat who likes to sleep on our covered porch. I bought 3 of them so the cat could be using one while his dirty one is in the wash. (They wash up perfectly in my washing machine with hot water with no shrinkage or stretching.) The third one is a "just-in-case" cover. The covers are a nice plush pile so the heat from the heating plate doesn't feel too hot. They fit the K&H heating plate perfectly and don't slide around because the plate is inserted into the cover like a pillowcase and then zips. I've tried other kinds of covers that have elastic at each corner to hold onto the heating plate but they slide around when the cat moves on them. I highly recommend this Kitty Pad rather than those every time.

This is my second one. I absolutely love this product as do my cats. I have used these for my feral cats so I needed something that was easy to clean and that I could trust to be durable. The cord is well connected and protected. The pad itself gives off a gentle warmth without getting hot. The pad itself is hard plastic (I got the deluxe cover to put over it) but honestly, the cats do not seem to mind one bit. It’s the only heating pad I trust to gently give off warmth without causing a fire hazard. With the thick plastic housing, I don’t worry about claws or teeth puncturing it.

I bought a size too large for the K&H heating pad I already have (9x12) but there is no mistaking the quality of this item. The zipper and stitching is sturdy, the dimensions are even (not crooked) and the heat from the separate, inserted warming pad heats thru it very well. The zipper leaves an intentional opening for the electrical cord which is appreciated. I will happily be purchasing the correct size to fit the warming pad I already have and using this 'too large one' to make a cat bed with a pillow insert. Win! Win!

Love this replacement cover in the dark grey. I’m using the smaller k&h heat mat in my feral food house to give them something comfortable while they eat. I’ve had the mat a few years now, still working. I just tested it today to get things ready for winter. This cover fit my mat perfectly. Like that it’s a full cover, zips. The price was good as well.
