Bulex Golf Club Groove Sharpener, Suitable for U & V-Grooves

Worked as advertised, now I just need to use my clubs to see if ball spin is improved!!??

I have an old Wilson 60° wedge that I paid $25 for 20 years ago. Luv and just redid the face. The grooves are razor sharp and spinning the ball like new!! Favorite club forever that can be reliable for years to come!!

Good solid tool…

I had a couple of older wedges where the grooves had gotten pretty worn and wanted to see what a groove tool could do before replacing the clubs. This is a small tool, but you can definitely feel it working as you run it through the grooves. I especially like that it can be used with both U and V style grooves, so it isn't limited to one type of club. Take your time with it. This isn't something I would aggressively scrape back and forth across a club face. I worked carefully through each groove and cleaned the club afterward. For maintaining older irons and wedges, it's a handy little golf tool to keep around.

This product feels lovely in the hand: compact, weighty and nicely textured. It feels like a high quality bit of kit, but does it work? In short, yes, but only as a once-off. It is not at all hard-wearing. It cleaned and re-defined the grooves on my irons very nicely, but after 12 irons, the business end of the tool had worn down to such an extent that it had become completely useless. The square corners had become completely rounded so that they no longer had any effect on the clubs. Please have a look at my video or photo to see what I mean. I should say that the end result was excellent. My clubs had so much more grip than they did before I used the tool. I was stopping the ball almost dead with my newly cleaned and re-grooved pitching wedge, and longer irons were checking better on the green too. The blades looked beautifully shiny too! But the tool had to go into the bin, because it had nothing left to give. Perhaps it’s best to think about it as disposable. It costs less than 10 USD after all, so perhaps I’m being harsh in even expecting it to last for more than one use. Would I pay a tenner to get my grooves cleaned and re-defined like this? Yes! Final note, IMO it could do with a slightly more ergonomic design, as the palm of my hand was pretty sore by the end from pushing it. Did it do a good job? Yes. Would I buy it again? No, I would look for a different design.
