Led Strip Lights 50FT

I only needed a 12" strip, and would have preferred to have 4 or 5 LEDs, but the cut point only provided 3. I made a cut after the cut point, hoping to get the 4th LED, but inadvertently made the cut between LED 4 and it's limiting resistor, which is after the LED and that 4th LED didn't get powered. Theoretically, I think you should be able to make the cut wherever you want, but need to make sure you include the respective resistor for which ever LED will be last in line. I may purchase the connector/ splice kit in the future to make a strip that includes a couple more LEDs. Nonetheless, with only the 3 LED's, the illumination is approximately what it was originally. All of the color combinations work fine. The plaque is an engraved plexiglass panel, with an aluminum housing across the top where the LED strip is located, and the light illuminates the panel, highlighting the engraved image. Not sure why so many are experiencing issues with dead segments, but take care where you cut, and if installing splice connectors, make sure you orient them properly relative to where the 12VDC line is on the strip, and the respective mark on the connectors. If everything is installed properly, any subsequent segments should be powered. Imprinted on the strip is +12V, C, R, B, and when two strips are connected together, the same alignment must be maintained - +12V to +12V. If the strip orientation gets reversed - 12v to B, any subsequent strip(s) will not work. If splicing, the cut has to be made in the center of the cut marks, ensuring there are exposed contact surfaces for the connectors to work properly. You cannot install the connector over the white surface of the strip - no electrical contact will be made.

Great item for its price point, very sticky so installation was a breeze. Plenty of options especially with the light modes. Plenty of colors to choose from and brightness levels are great 👍🏼

This is the second box of these I've purchased, and I love them. The first set I bought I put under the countertop edge on my kitchen island and it's absolutely perfect for lighting the kitchen enough at night to sneak in without having to turn on the lights. I keep it on the purple color so it's not too bright. My son loved them so much he asked me to buy another set for his bedroom. He mounted his around his TV and on the wall behind his TV. I don't know how good that is for his eyes, but he loves it. They can be very bright or fairly subdued, depending on the color you choose. There are many colors to choose from. The remote is easy to use and the lights are VERY easy to put up. You simply peel away the wax-type paper backing as you go along applying it to the wall or whatever surface you are putting it on (TV, countertop, etc.). I found it easy to fold it to make square corners and it doesn't come loose at the corners where the fold is. Just make a square corner and pinch together the triangle piece sticking up and it works just fine. You don't notice the corner fold when the lights are on. It was also easy to reposition, as I lightly tapped the strip down as I went along, and then if I was going crooked I could lift it back up and try again. Only when I had it just as I wanted it did I press it down hard, and so far nothing has come loose. I've had the ones on the underside of my kitchen island counter for over a month, and they don't interfere with the cabinets nor has the tape come loose. The one thing I don't like is that you get two strips of lights, but they both connect to the power source at the same small connector, so you can't put the two strips of lights very far apart. They have to originate from the same place. I think I read about others splicing or something, but I'm not that technical. You just have to plan ahead when you are deciding how to place them so that you start both tapes fairly close to your plug-in. The power cord and AC adapter have nice long cords, so that is a plus - you can get at least 3-5 feet away from your plug-in before you get to the adapter the lights plug in to. I think the lights are great and if I find another opportunity to use them somewhere, I would buy more. Especially of this brand. I may have to measure and check out the length I need before I buy, but so far it's worked great.

I used this product for my small bedroom office, the RGB is decent and the 5.0mm diode is bright. The controller is a little cheap, the remote is basic and worked for 3 months before the brightness adjustment stopped working. The controller bugs out sometimes and really the "auto" function (if you can call it that) barely seems to be a function at all and more so just random modes that flash from one to the other. I was disappointed to find that the jumpers are only placed on one end of the stips, making daisy chaining these a soldering job. If you are on a budget and NEED something that is seemingly the same, but cheaper, you can dig around for better ROI. Conversely, the Prime membership gives you these quick enough to make them worth it for me. Overall, good light stips with a decent adhesive, but there are better and also there are cheaper. I rate these puppies the medal of mid-mediocrity, the whites could be a more cool white and not blue, I expect the controller will start bugging out to the point of obsolescence by the end of the year. These are best for decorating a room and not for shelving (for lighting specifically). I have gotten thicker strips with protective silicon over the diodes for the same price, but it was merely 7 ft long. So for the price and the length qualified; these are not bad at all. I advise anyone reading this to look up the different types of LED to see which kind best fits their need, as these strips can vary greatly from one type to another. The SMDs on this one in particular are pretty fragile looking and do not have any enamel or coating for protection. If you are looking for a good cabinet/shelf light I would suggest the 3528, if you need some outdoor weatherproof strips, then the 5630s are a good bet. Obviously, there are many kinds so you may want to spend the time researching.

Simple to install and seems like decent quality. Plenty of color options and never had any issues with the remote. However, several different sections stopped working after 6 months of use.

Attached the lights (adhesive is ok so far) and only one port on the white box works. We tried both led strips into the functioning port and the strips work so it’s the port at fault. What is working is bright, colorful, responsive and putting a smile on my child’s face. Even with the messed up lights, she’s excited. I have contacted the seller and hope to just receive a new white port instead of having to take down and return all the lights. Will update rating if/when I hear from them! UPDATE: I reached out to the seller, received a response the next day of an idea to troubleshoot that unfortunately didn't fix the problem. The seller immediately responded again. Received a replacement from the seller within a couple of days - checked the connectors right away and they both work! I'm changing to 5 stars because the lights really are cool AND the problem was quickly fixed by the seller.

the spacing between the LEDs are terrible - the remote is pretty bad too, you have to be really close to use it. brightness was meh

very good for price. worked very well at first, but after 4-5 months some colors started malfunctioning

easy to setup. could use longer power cord tho.
