I use Skin Tac prior to putting this on. I know some of you out the have allergies to Skin Tac and I'm sorry. Anyway, I like soft vinyl piece that goes over the CGM. It makes me feel like it's just that much more protection from this thing getting ripped out by an inadvertent bump. No problem taking it off, like a band-aid, grab and rip. I have noticed NO STICKY RESIDUE on the vinyl piece when I remove it and only minimal left on my skin in the shape of the patch. Every patch I've ever tried does that so I'm not taking a smart for that. I like that they have different color vinyl pieces. They seem expensive but this thing will last awhile, if properly taken care of. Definitely recommend!

This photo is a testimony to how well this shield protects! My 6yo daughter's Dexcom G6 sensor on day 10, after expiration. I removed her overpatch and the shield, and this is what's left underneath. An absolutely perfect original Dexcom adhesive. I applied her sensor, the shield, and an overpatch all at the same time, changed her overpatch on day 5 to a new one, and this is on day 10. She's an active 1st grader, she's had multiple showers, and her Dexcom adhesive is clean, dry, and completely perfectly attached. Hands down this product is 100% worth the investment. The patches have worked well also, I wish they had fun prints. Rockadex patches stretch perfectly around the shield also. But this shield is worth it's weight in gold. 10/10 recommend.

The shield wasn't what I really wanted. I'm looking for a solid cover for watertight bathing.I decided to give it a try anyway.Had to change the patch half-way through because the edges of the shield were peeling it back and laying on the outside.Only good thing was:I didn't have any loss of signal warnings while the shield was in place. Five minutes after I took the second patch off due to itching and peeling I got a warning.But when the patch gets wet, it stays wet for longer than I like.Suppose I'll keep the shield but switch patches.

I really like this product. It keeps me from hitting my dexcon on things. When I remove it, it doesn't take the dexon off as well. The only thing I see that's a con at least for me is that the adhesive makes my skin itch. It's not a bad itch but it can be a bother when trying to sleep.

I have had way too many sensors pop loose from the slightest bumps. Even had problems on a hot day with all the sweat and the original dexcom adhesive and dexcom over patch would let loose. I was trying to design something to protect them and found these on Amazon. These sensors are too expensive to not get full use. I have not had one sensor come loose after using this shield and overpatch. Even on a hot day and some pretty significant bumps. I thank you and my insurance thanks you.

Adhesion was good. Hard to remove, even with Adhesion remover. Hurt to remove. Biggest complaint- this did not hold the guard in place! It frays badly around the edges, and definitely don’t expect water- resistant.

This product is just what I needed for my dexcom. I love the beach but normally am scared and avoid the salty air and water because the dexcom adhesive tape does not want to stick. With this project I can add a new adhesive over and over again without having to change my dexcom because let's face it those continues monitoring systems gcm can be pricey. Just prefect and no adhesive irritation that I normally have with other brands.

I haven't used them yet, we just got them yesterday but we did make sure they fit and they seem to fit even better than the one's that come from Dexcom! Worth the money!!!
