Great little UPS. Does what it says on the tin.
Update: changed from 2 stars to 5. Original review at bottom.Update 2020-09-21I decided to give the UPS a proper test. I pulled the power at 09:31 and this time communication with the PC was maintained. My PC was automatically shut down at 09:55 when the UPS said it had 5 mins remaining. It seems that battery loss follows a curve: high initial loss, lower later. So colour me well impressed and I'll be buying another, maybe more.If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be at the back. There are two banks of four power outlets, and one bank is only surge-protected. It would be useful if each bank were labelled more clearly. Perhaps a different colour?Original review (2020-09-19)USB link doesn't seem to work, exaggerated uptime.I decided to test my new UPS just now, so I unplugged the mains. It started beeping and my PC stayed on. So far so good. But my PC stopped seeing the UPS through the USB link. Not good. Put the power back on, and back it comes. And after being active for only a minute or two it's now saying that it's at 84% remaining battery capacity. So I don't believe it will actually keep my PC going for the half hour it claims.I'd like to test it to full duration, but with the USB link not working when the mains is off I cannot monitor the UPS.

Better runtime, better software and better value for money than the market leader alternative.
I'm usually an APC man given I support IT infrastructures for a variety of companies but I;ve found that APC units aren't nearly as good as they used to be in terms of quality and longevity.I purchased this unsit to reaplace a similar APC unit for a company, and was impressed with the huge increase in runtime compared to to same price APC unit. I've got a server, 24 port switch, and internet connection (router and full fibre modem) powered off the unit and I've got around 68 minutes of runtime compared to the 34 minutes from the same price APC device. There is also a nice "mute" button that the APC unti doesn't have. Software works with servers whereas you either need to "tweak" the APC software to allow you a shutdown and restart option unless you go for their "Pro" option which doubles the price, so happy with the software.Overall, it' s a whole lot of UPS compared to the market leader for a lot less money. The 900w gives me a great runtime for short powercuts and only time will tell if the batteries will perform better than APC, but anything over 3 yearsis a bonus for me. So far, really impressed with what is delivered for a very reasonable price.

WARNING you need to buy adapters
First day reviewThe plugs at the back of this aren't your usual ones that go into the wall like I thought so you need to buy adapters. It comes with one for plugging directly into the pc and honestly for this price they should have included more. The unit itself is dead silent when running from the wall. When running on battery it hums and beeps which is good.I got it for proxmox and just followed a general nut server tutorial for auto shutdown which worked. It has a USB that you plug into the pc and the pc then knows how long is left and what percentage the battery is at.The remaining run time is a bit weird. It says 40 minutes remaining but was fully depleted after 3 minutes. I'll have to try the test again and see what's what when the battery is fully charged.Overall it is quite pricey but does the job so far

Almost started a fire
After 18 months of use something suddenly exploded inside it with the error E21. Luckily I was in the room. Searching online I'm not the only person to have experienced this kind of spontaneous failure after many months of use all of a sudden. This product is not safe as far as I'm concerned and I won't be buying CyberPower again.

Worked out of the box and fully compatible with my Synology DS920+
This UPS is extremely quite and runs nice and cool , I decided on this after reading many reviews about competitors UPSโs being noisy and running hot . Another plus is that the battery can replaced unlike some other manufacturers UPS.

Doesn't include a power cable
The package included an extension cable but not a power cable. Can't use the system for another couple days while I wait for a cable now.

Cant use this out of the box
Arrived looks great in the packaging instructions seem simple enough however no power cable supplied so I now have to order a kettle plug for an item costing close to ยฃ200 I would have expected a power cord no mention of it not having it in the listing

Need to have one if you care for your electronics
Just couple of day after purchase had electricity breakdown so definitely saved my equipment, worth to have especially when you got hardware like HDDs full of your lovely photos and videos, memories that you cannot afford to loose.
