Great Protein, highly satisfied
Very satisfied with this protein. Those who said this is the worst tasting protein ever are just soft. Not even close. Protein powder is for function, not taste. This protein is smooth and mixes well. Not the strongest taste, but it is good enough, especially at it's price point and having limited ingredients without the weird artificial flavors and sweeteners, which are increasingly difficult to find. Tastes even better with milk/alternatives or some PB powder. Try protein powder from the 90's, you had to practically chew it and it was like chalk. THAT protein, you literally had to choke down and gag😂 Will definitely purchase again

Smooth, Clean-Tasting Protein With Great Mixability
This whey protein isolate from NOW Foods has been one of the cleanest and easiest proteins I’ve added to my routine. The creamy chocolate flavor is smooth without being overly sweet, and it mixes surprisingly well — no chalky texture or clumps when shaken in a simple bottle. I also appreciate that the formula is straightforward with minimal ingredients and 25g of protein per serving, which makes it perfect for post-workout recovery. It feels light on the stomach and doesn’t cause any bloating. The only thing to note is that the chocolate flavor is more subtle than dessert-like brands, but I actually prefer that. Overall, this is a high-quality, reliable protein powder that delivers exactly what it promises.

Good Nutrition Bad Taste
The taste is not that great, but it is nutritionally sound with only 5 mg of cholesterol per serving, very low fat high protein with a lot of muscle building leucine.

More pure Whey than the usual protein products from competitors
Now is a fantastic organization that started locally to me (Chicagoland area). I usually get Optimum Nutrition (ON) but started reading ingredients of ON vs Now and some other major brands and decided to give Now Whey Isolate a shot. I have used there pea protein and rice protein but never whey. They sell Now supplements at stores locally to me called Fruitful Yield which are just fantastic. The Whey Isolate is not as sweet as ON but I don’t need super sweet. If I want chocolate milk I’ll make chocolate milk. This protein mixes very well with a spoon in a glass or water. About the same as ON. Both companies are local to me so they have been around for years but ON does private labeling for local gyms so it’s all over the place. Now appears to be a higher quality product and their supplements are great quality too. I have taken Now Men’s Sport Multi Vitamins for years. This prices of this high level protein is more affordable than other top reviewed Whey Isolate protein on the market and less added fillers. Now Whey Isolate is my new go to. The taste is just fine. I chug it right down anyway. I don’t want ti call it bland, it’s simply just not as sweet as ON. I’m not looking to sip and savor my post workout protein. As stated it mixes in water easily and that’s a high priority aside from it being quality and not filled with a bunch of other crap. You get more for your money. Give it a try.

Great quality, Informed Sport Certified, but mediocre dull taste(“rich” chocolate)
Bought this on a discount that brought the price down to around $8/lb. It’s Informed Sport Certified which means it’s tested for banned substances, pharmaceuticals, and for quality and purity of ingredients (i.e. the product contains exactly what the label says and is also screened for heavy metals and other impurities—this certification is the Olympic Committee standard and every single batch gets tested). It is 100% a high quality product in that regard. The “rich chocolate” packs 25g of protein in a 120 calorie serving (approximately 1/3 cup), which means there’s about 20 calories of “extra” stuff. It does NOT have artificial sweeteners, but uses the sugar alcohol xylitol which has benefits, and it’s a small amount per serving (<1g), but worth mentioning as some people can’t handle it when it isn’t in a fruit. I’d prefer stevia, myself. It mixes decently using a milk frother, but I do occasionally get some clumping and have to work them out against the side of my cup. It also foams quite a bit compared to some other brands I’ve used. Taste-wise, it is pretty mediocre. I don’t hate it, but it is far from what I would call “rich” chocolate. Imagine putting 1/4 teaspoon of Nesquik into 16oz of milk and that’s about how “rich” it is. If you’re accustomed to very sweet powders, you’ll be adding your own sweetener and/or cocoa powder to add flavor, or you’ll be chugging it to get through it. For me, it does bother my stomach somewhat if I take it multiple days in a row, so I rotate it with another brand to keep that at bay. Be aware of that before you jump into a 10lb bag. I don’t think I’ll buy the flavored powders from NOW again, but will get the unflavored powder so I can flavor it myself with cocoa, powdered vanilla, cinnamon, etc. to suit my taste and not get burnt out on a particular flavor. Overall, a high quality protein with a mediocre flavor, some foaming, and digestive challenges. Try the smaller sizes first before committing to the 10lb bag!

Great product at a good price
I've purchased this product a couple of times now. I find it to be a high quality product at a good/fair price. Like most people before I made my initial purchase I checked the reviews, checking the one star reviews first. The negative reviews I read seemed to focus on the taste. Well, maybe I've just been lucky, or maybe it's just a difference in taste preferences; nut, I found the taste to be very good. Every brand of whey protein isolate that I have tried have all tasted slightly different. I my opinion this one tasted pretty good.

This is probably the best protein powder I've come across (Do not get the 6lb version)
This (5lb version) is probably the best protein powder I've come across in terms of taste, consistency, and nutrition profile. One of the main things most people overlook is cholesterol content for protein powder. This is typically pretty high on most other products. However, this NOW Whey Protein Isolate mix has very low cholesterol compared to most brands yet it delivers a pretty high protein amount. The only thing I would change about this is the scooper that comes with it is HUGE! I cannot use it unless I'm dumping powder into a blender. For normal glasses or blender bottles it's just too big. I get the idea that all you need is ONE scoop with that big scooper but it makes a mess. Update (10/29/15): Do not, I repeat DO NOT, get the 6lb "version" of this product. Stick to the 5lb version. I recently saw a 6lb option which was actually cheaper than the 5lb option so it was a no brainer to order it. After I got the 6lb version in the mail I opened it without thinking twice after a work out and noticed right away something was off--there were little crystal like pieces in there that look almost like kosher salt. I thought maybe they slightly changed their formula up, no biggie. Then after mixing it up and drinking it I realized that this was a TOTALLY different product than then 5lb version. I was disgusted by the taste. Confused, I looked at the nutrition profile: the first thing that jumped out at me was the HIGH cholesterol content (20% daily value vs 2% in the 5lb version)!! Not only that, it had more calories, more fat, and LESS protein. What the heck is going on here NOW foods? How can you sell two different formulations with the same name and virtually the same container? Also Amazon, you cannot sell the 6lb (and the 2lb) version under the same product listing--Its a different product! I still give the 5lb version of this product 5 stars...the 6lb version I give 0 stars.

You get what you pay for
Came in one big bag (preferred as I've ordered 10 lbs of protein before and received it in 4 or 5 bags). The box was a little dusty. The bag was not torn in any way that I could tell, so I assume the handling process had something to do with this. As this is an isolate the calorie to protein ratio is a bit better than just whey protein. I got this product for a really good price as isolates can be very expensive even when buying in bulk. I had no stomach issues from this product, but to be fair I've never had digestive problems with protein drinks. All that being said, the taste is not great. I'm not a fan of super sweet protein products (shakes, bar, cookies etc.). Somehow that is what this product lacks. I don't think the powder went bad, but this powder has a bland (and dare I say gross) taste that has lead me to add zero calories sweetener to my shakes, yogurts, overnight oats and what ever else I add this to. At the end of the day this is a supplement intended to help you reach your protein goals and it is very effective at that. It is a very fair price for an isolate even in bulk. The taste is the only downside but a very big one. The Splenda used makes the taste a lot better and without it I couldn't see myself giving this more than 3 or even a 2 star review. Great product just needs some work!

it's all I need
Very easy to digest, isn't thick after mixing, mixes very easily with little water, flavor is ok (but that's never something that will shy me away from a good protein). Results are solid, I feel stronger through my workouts now and I'm more confident with recovery time. I'm impressed with how little gassy I get after using this protein.

WPIらしい薄味のチョコ味
WPIらしく味は薄め。薄味と言えど、最近のプロテインの味が昔と比べ美味しくなっているだけで、昔のプロテインのチョコ味はこんな感じだったなという味である。
