Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer, Fragrance-Free, 1.7 oz

I was newly diagnosed with rosacea and the products that I used to use were stinging and burning my face so badly. I tried a few other moisturizers without luck. Then I tried this and it felt sooo nice. It has a cooling effect when you put it on that feels amazing and I finally felt some relief. It’s expensive, but it was the only thing that helped when my rosacea was flaring badly. I still get redness but the burning and stinging has stopped and now I can tolerate other brands again that I couldn’t before. So I highly recommend this when you need some symptom relief.

This moisturizer is really good. I have combination skin that is generously oily in my t-zone, and a desert on my cheeks. I also have rosacea I deal with. This moisturizer moisturizes my dry cheeks, and doesn’t make my t-zone oily, it actually seems to reduce it a little. Rosacea redness is calming down, and I haven’t experienced any irritation.

I ordered this cream along with the foaming face wash because my rosacea was so bad that my skin was cracking open. Within 3 days of using these two items my skin barrier started to heal, and the redness is slowly getting lighter. Once my skin fully heals from the damage from other products (not this brand) I will be buying the full line. This line is a miracle for those with rosacea. Fully recommended.

So far I like it just got it yesterday! It’s very light weight and hydrating! I feel good putting it on and after. Good for eczema, dry&sensitive skin. Will do another review in 2-3 months again purchasing the product 2-3 more times

I had a horrible reaction from using a Salicylic acid toner at way too high of a percentage. My skin was SCREAMING; even sweating would cause irritation. Using this twice a day for about a week or two calmed things down completely. I'm so grateful!

I just love this mostly because it doesn’t feel at all like a lotion or a cream it’s not a greasy mess. It feels hydrating without thickness. I’ll buy it again.

I have been looking for something gentle that would hydrate my extremely dry skin. This was the first product that didn’t burn my skin and is helping with my rosacea. 10/10 absolutely recommend to anyone with extremely sensitive skin.

This is one of my top three favorite facial moisturizers. It has a luscious texture, doesn't have any fragrance, and leaves my skin soft without being shiny. So why did I rate it only 3 stars? Because the packaging is so egregiously wasteful, it infuriates me. They made the outer box big enough to fit two jars but it comes with one jar held in place by more cardboard so it doesn't rattle around. And the jar is the absolute worst. I have posted some images of a side by side comparison with another facial moisturizer so you can see for yourself. The Aveeno jar is larger but holds less product than the other brand. (Aveeno: 1.7 oz in a 2.5" diameter plastic jar; $11.10/ oz at time of this review; Mad Hippie: 2.1 oz in a 2.125 diameter glass jar; $13.33/oz at time of this review) The Aveeno Jar has a double wall creating the illusion that it is a much bigger amount of product. It is a shameful waste of material and even though I love the moisturizer, it makes me so mad that I frequently go to other brands that have less wasteful packaging practices. If it wasn't for the packaging, this moisturizer would definitely be 4 stars, or even 5 for me, but I just cannot abide by companies using resources in such a careless and disingenuous way. It is irresponsible and unnecessary.

This facial cream is good as it is meant for sensitive skin and I can use it for my 5 yrs old son face too as his face some areas have dryness & will cause itch. After apply it, it helps a lot for his dry area and no more itchiness.

this Moisturizer is very moist and does not feel grease at all, Love it

I’m thankful to this amazing gel, it soothed and hydrated my skin from first use, I’m relieved. I was under treatment for stubborn pimples which damaged my skin and left it extremely flaky and dry plus red burning rashes all over :( I used a lot of other products to soothe my skin but nothing worked, in-fact just made it worse because they were very oily and made my pimples worse. Then this gel saved my skin, it’s only been 3 days now I’m using it and my skin is soft and smooth, rashes gone :) My skin absorbed the gel fast and didn’t feel oily or greasy at all. I felt tingling on the rash areas for a couple of minutes then it was fine. I applied on dry areas 3 or 4 times a day. Bought another one just now, love it

Love this product . Apart from this moisturiser providing a cool calm effect on my skin, it moisturises really well , has significantly reduced my redness, calms my sensitive skin and gives me my glow back. My facial therapist noted how my skin was less red and asked what I had been using .. it was this!!
