I bought this because it was $12.99 and I like to "collect" knives. This was going to be my knock around camp knife and for the price I wasn't going to be upset if it got damaged from use. This knife is outstanding! It's heavy and appears very well made and solid. Definitely feels like a full tang. The handle has a great texture and is large enough for my big hands. It sharpened up quickly with a few strokes. Honestly, I am a bit blown away by the quality of this $12.99 knife. I may buy a couple more while they are on sale!

For the money I was very impressed with this knife. It feels good in the hand, has a nice weight to it, blade is sharp, and looks good. I prefer a leather sheaf but the one that comes with it works just fine. I bought one for me and two more for my grandsons. Update, I have bought four more for birthday gifts. Everyone really liked their knife.

Everything about this knife is good quality. The feel, the weight, the balance, finish is satin. It has a nice thickness. Just feels very on point and good in the hand. The handle material could definitely be better, it's not bad, but kinda feels like a kitchen knife. It came extremely sharp. I put it to the test on the cardboard box it came in and it shredded it effortlessly. I agree with the other reviewers sentiments on the sheath. It's a shame it is to put a knife this nice in a cheap nylon sheath. I'm actually compelled to find it a nicer home as well.

This Grand Way is a good copy of a Buck 692 fixed blade that I already have. I have had the Buck knife for at least 20 years and it's a good pattern for a multitude of uses; Hunting, Fishing and for use on my boat. This Grand Way knife has good steel; 440C is not as "hardened" as Buck steel, but it holds an edge really well and it is easy to sharpen quickly to bring a hair shaving back on it. The sheath that comes with this knife leaves a lot to be desired; just thin, soft "cordura type nylon" without any type of hard plastic inner liner. I'd be afraid of slicing right through the sheath when removing the knife so because of other reviewers comments I was sure that I'd need a better sheath. I searched through all the Amazon offerings for a good, leather sheath that would fit this knife! Flashblades brand; for 4-4.5 inch blade, fits perfectly; Real leather, thick, well tanned and good, straight stitching! It has rivets where rivets are needed and a good snap on the strap.

Excellent price on this well made fixed blade knife . Great value and will get the job done for deer hunting season as good as more expensive knives. It holds a good sharp edge. I recommend this Hunting knife for value , Quality and light weight yet strong . I would buy again in fact I got my Two sons each one & my brother too .

I finally broke down and bought this mainly on the review/advice of of a well-known reviewer online. I appreciated how he tested the knife instead of just describing it as a lot of guys do. It was delivered today and I am impressed by the quality as compared to the cost. I'm sure that knife enthusiasts will probably not prefer the nylon sheath, but it seems adequate for my uses. The snap that holds the knife in is a bit tight, but that's not a real problem. It will probably loosen up with use. It was incredibly sharp right out of the box, and has a nice rubberized handle with a solid metal bolster. I am a hunter, so this knife seems like a good one to carry given its smaller size. I could see using it to field dress a deer as well as other bush craft uses/needs. The blade steel is printed right on the blade - 440C, which I appreciate. 440C is a high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel known for great wear resistance with a hardness up to 60 HRC, and moderate corrosion resistance, making it a classic choice for knife blades. It offers good edge retention and is relatively easy to sharpen.

I haven't actually used the knife, yet. Those things take time. BUT, the quality looks and feels very good. The handle/grip is best for small or medium-size hands, not large hands, but the textured rubber grip is EXCELLENT. I also like the finger guard (having prior experience slipping and cutting myself with other less-protected blades). The knife seems sturdy with a nice heft/weight. The scabbard is also nice, with a plastic inner liner. Just make sure when inserting the blade that it is INSIDE the liner and not behind it or your scabbard won't last long. The only other caution is that the retainer strap snap is VERY tight, so I recommend carefully opening and closing it several times, carefully, to wear/loosen it a bit. Jerking on it may cause the snap to rip away. It should not be a problem, just a suggestion. I am very happy with the size, construction, and price of this one.

Sheath is disappointing. I believe a better quality sheath made from leather would make it more marketable and desirable. The knife is of pretty good quality. But I did not receive the free book as was advertised! ... So if you anticipate getting one, don't hold your breath. Others report not receiving the book as well!
