Does this fit the hive thermostat mini?

I shouldn’t think so as it fits my full size one perfectly (10 x 10cm) approx.

Does not say what version it is but fitted recently did not know there were different version sorry cannot help further

Is it worth buying this or paying the extra for the original, S some people are saying its a bit flimsy?

It's not flimsy really. It would depend on wether it's likely to be knocked about a lot. I barely use the thermostat and alter the temp using the app, and the thermostat is there as a backup but it's survived being around 3 cats that care not for human possessions.
