Landworks Leaf Mulcher Shredder Electric
Great Leaf Mulcher for Home Use — Huge Space Saver I’ve been using the Landworks Leaf Mulcher Shredder Electric (Green) / Waste Management Heavy Duty Mulcher for about four years now, and it has consistently delivered exactly what I need it to do. For its intended purpose—mulching leaves, grass, and clippings—it performs extremely well. The machine really shines when the material is dry. It chews through leaves quickly and produces a fine mulch that’s easy to bag or compost. When the material is wet, it still works, but you’ll need to feed it more slowly to avoid clogging. That’s just the nature of wet yard waste, and the mulcher handles it as well as can be expected. One of the biggest benefits is how much it reduces volume. What used to fill eight 42‑gallon trash bags now fits into just two. That alone makes it worth the investment—less hauling, fewer bags, and a much cleaner yard. Maintenance has been minimal. In four years of regular seasonal use, I’ve only had to replace the blades once, and replacement blades are easy to find on Amazon. Overall, this mulcher is a reliable, efficient tool for anyone dealing with a lot of yard debris. It’s not a heavy‑duty wood chipper, but for leaves and clippings, it’s excellent.

Overall, great product!!!
So, this does shred leaves, but there are a few shortfalls to be aware of. There are also a few things I really like about the machine. Pros: 1) Shreds dry leaves really, really well. 2) Electric. 3) great value 4) Sturdy build. 5) The wide-mouthed hopper is a great feature. 6) Has actual cutting blades, so it isn't just a glorified weed trimmer. 7)Great free gift. Cons: 1) It works best with material that is absolutely dry. Wet material creates excessive drag on the blades/motor and you will find yourself unplugging the machine so as to scrape out the wet gunk far too often. 2) "regular" tree leaves only, by which I mean no palm fronds...they are too fibrous and jam the blades/motor. 3) no sticks. The machine just can't hack it. 4) no good on shredding other items either. No paper or cardboard, as examples. 5) would like access panel for easy cleaning. 6) would like dial to regulate shred size.

Good at dry leaves, but engine burned out
I've used this shredder for over 3 years. It works great on dry leaves, fed through gradually. The opening is big enough to pour them in. If material is long grass or long green stems, or there are small dry branches (>1/2"), then it can clog or stall. I'm careful about what goes in, and my truckloads of dry leaves are reduced to a nice mulch for my fruit trees, which is why I bought this shredder. Last week it suddenly shut itself off and there was an electrical smell. Somehow I burned out the motor. Customer service was great at diagnosing the problem, sending out a new motor, and a video to show that it is fairly easy for me to replace the motor. I'm not mechanical, and it was no problem. I'm be back in business! I looked at a lot of options before buying this shredder, and I like that it is electrical, not gas powered; has steel blades instead of plastic weed-wacker cord; has a larger opening than many shredders; and is light enough for me to roll it around the yard as I shred. It was worth replacing the motor in comparison to buying a new shredder, especially because I have been so happy with this one.

Swing and a miss
I wish I could give this product a higher rating. After using it four times, I've found that much of the time is wasted on unjamming, unclogging, and restarting the unit. What should be a quick task turns into a frustrating ordeal. While it's safe to mulch leaves, I strongly advise against using sticks and twigs, as they tend to get jammed between the base and the blade (often). When you try to remove the stick, there's a risk of bending the blade, which could make it irreparable. Yes — my blade has bent and no longer sheds as it should; instead, it pushes the leaves in circles. I'm truly disappointed, as I'm now looking for a new mulcher. This time, I'm planning to increase my budget and avoid this brand altogether. I want to emphasize that this isn't an attack on the brand or the product; it's simply an honest reflection of my experience with this short-lived purchase. Additionally, if you're only shredding leaves, the mulcher can handle that quite well. Just remember to add only a handful at a time, wait for it to process, and then sprinkle in more (not too much). **Realize you're about done; you've spent 30 minutes shredding a single bag of leaves.** I was deeply saddened by the dysfunction of the blade shown in the image. I took it personally and left the unit out in the rain for an entire year before finally accepting my loss and deciding to shop for a new mulcher. Throughout this process, I made sure to share my gardener's heartache with others. I hope this helps save another gardener time and money. Now, I always read reviews before making a purchase.ng a purchase.ng a purchase.

Mulches coop straw just fine but the shute and their customer service is horrible
You need a 10 mm socket bit with a screwdriver socket driver AND a 9 mm combination wrench. (image attached) It comes with a thin, coiled piece of plastic which is inserted into the rim of the bag. Also I tried to use a small garbage can under the shute but the straw went everywhere so that's not going to work. Will read through the 400 plus reviews to see what everyone else came up with. The bag that comes with it...is not going to work. ETA:..there are places to clip the bags handles in place but the bag is still not snug and straw goes out anyplace there is an opening. The shute opening is too short on the bottom so you can't attach anything to it. Not hard to assemble once you have the correct tools. However the cotter pin that goes on the wheel cannot be the correct pin but I put it on there. That is some defective engineering. You definitely need an extension cord because the electrical cord is about 6 inches long. Customer service is awful. They won't answer one question via the Amazon page unless you give them loads of info including your order number. To me that is utterly ridiculous. I asked something about the manual but they REFUSED TO ANSWER ME.

The shredder is a cut above the rest!
I've spent countless hours searching for the perfect leaf shredder, and my quest is finally over! After trying out a popular string shredder (I'll spare you the brand name, but it starts with a W), I was left unsatisfied with its performance on twigs and gum balls. I decided to give this model a try. Assembly was a breeze, and I was immediately impressed by the high-quality materials used in its construction. This machine exudes durability and sturdiness, instilling my confidence in its long-term performance. I was initially skeptical about the blade size and their overall quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. The blades are thick, sharp, and built to handle heavy-duty tasks effortlessly. To give you an idea of their size, I included a picture with my hand alongside them, as well as a shot with my finger showing their thickness. Eager to put it to the test, I wasted no time taking it out to the yard after assembly. I had a massive pile of leaves, teeming with pesky quarter-inch sticks and an abundance of gum balls. However, this leaf shredder didn't skip a beat. Not once did it jam, effortlessly reducing everything in its path to finely shredded pieces. The negative reviews claiming it struggles with wet leaves are probably true, as that complaint seems to be common.. The debris I cleared today was bone-dry, which is typical for my Californian climate. So, if you reside in a region with high humidity or excessive moisture, this machine might not be the ideal choice for you. I can confidently say that this leaf shredder has surpassed my expectations and exceeded all other options I've tried. Its outstanding performance, coupled with its sturdy build and efficient shredding capabilities, make it the ultimate choice for anyone seeking a top-notch leaf shredder.

Not satisfied
The small size chipper space is a tough one. I was torn between buying a more expensive , powerful and loud gas powered chipper and looking for a quieter electric one to chip up garden waste. I opted on the smaller electric one - this item. Was super easy to put together, but the performance was quite disappointing. In My estimation, the main problem with this product is the grate that blocks the out shoot. When the product runs waste accumulates against the grate, and quickly clogs. Within just a minutes of putting pretty light fleshy plant material in, it stopped several times. this creates a safety hazard which to fix you need to reach into the blender piece of the machine to clear it… Obviously it should be unplugged. The grate in the front also plugs up quickly. I made the admittedly stupid mistake of trying to unclog this lightly with my hand while it was running and almost lost a finger. my lack of attention aside I do think the machine is dangerous, at least for my use, Which was light guard waste and small sticks. I will be returning it and buying a more powerful gas powered chipper.

Great value.
This shredder works great for our yard. We have a backyard that is filled with pines, sweet gums, and oaks mostly. The yard is too textured with hills and roots for a lawnmower to get around easily, but the Landworks mulcher makes short work of our large tree debris pile. When freshly sharpened, the blades will even break up the spiky seed pods from the sweet gums; it obliterates pine cones and twigs. We are able to take a swimming pool size pile of leaves and twigs and turn it into leaf mulch for our compost and garden. Its great! The unit does a great job of shutting itself off when it gets jammed. I've found, through personal use that dry leaves and twigs almost never jam the unit, but that wet pine straw will clog the grate on the outfeed and that occasionally a mass of wet leaves will jam between the outer edge of the blade and its housing. The way I deal with that is I just wait for a few dry days before mulching, or in a pinch I just slow my feed rate and mix in some dry material with wetter material. Not as powerful as a gas powered unit, but for the price and lack of hassle it can't be beat.

Junk
Absolute junk that clogs and stops itself every two minutes. Wobbly base. Cheap wheels that fall apart. Just some simple leaves turns into cement paste inside and the motor stops. Do not buy. And impossible to return once built and used. Pissed!
