Made in China (says it right on the packaging)

Is the sharp edge 4.13" like in your product description, or the misleading 5.9" in your specs. sheet?

As in the description (and picture number 4) the correct measurements are stated. You are confusing the two. The blade length (the sharpened edge) is 4.13". The head length (from the blade to the back) is 5.9". I hope this helps. Please see picture number 4 for these measurements and the other measurements (like handle length and overall length).

Hard steel that holds an edge in bad working conditions (chopping tree/bush roots in the dirt/rocky-dirt.)?

NO! Edge is super soft, seems to hold up in the dirt or on a small tree. I hit a Romy piece of metal in a tree with a soft swing and broke off a big chunk of the blade. It’s good for a budget hatchet to use to trim a trail but that’s about it. I purchased mine in November and got it in the very beginning of December. It’s now June and it almost needs a new handle. I wouldn’t recommend for a “main” hatchet.

I need a replacement handle where can I find one

Most hardware stores, many sthil dealers or other chainsaw shops. If you have a longer broken handle from an axe you could trim it down to fit.
