I have never found a better sugar substitute!
This is the best and most convenient sugar replacement I have ever found. It does not contain erythritol which has been linked to cardiovascular problems and it does not contain dextrose which is a type of sugar. Instead, they use inulin which is considered beneficial in many ways. All of my recipes containing sugar have been tailored to use this product. However, I should mention that I have not tried it in baking because I avoid those foods altogether. The container makes it easy to measure it out into the recipes or to sprinkle it to taste, but it can clump if you are not careful. I can work around that. As a side note, I do find it works best in foods with some natural sugars and acidity (like tomatoes or apples) to balance it out. It also seems to do relatively well in vinaigrette. Sweetleaf, you've made a fantastic product and I would be lost if it was ever discontinued.

My Preferred Sweetener, Love the Top
This is one of my preferred brands of stevia, which I use as a sweetener in veggie smoothies and herbal teas. One of the things I like about this particular brand is the top, which has a shaker side, and also a side you can stick a measuring spoon in if needed. I am going to assume that some shoppers looking at this product are trying to cut back on sugar for some sort of health reason or concern, and are investigating this as an option, so I'm going to tell it to you straight up. Does this taste exactly like sugar? No, it does not. Does it come with the health risks associated with artificial sweeteners on the market such as Nutrisweet, Sweet N Low, and Splenda? No, it does not. Stevia is a natural, plant based product that has been used for decades in other markets, but if memory served, took some time to catch on in the US. If I'm remembering correctly, some of it's US competition didn't want it on the market here because of it's status as a natural product and worked hard to keep it off the market. However, studies have shown that the current extracts being used as sweeteners have no known adverse health effects in humans. Sugar in the quantities currently consumed in the standard American diet in particular is bad news, super bad. Everybody knows about the common risks for things like diabetes, but many people don't realize that even in a non obese person, heavy sugar consumption can damage the liver. I had this straight from my GI doc when I was being treated for medication induced liver damage. I was told they expect dietary and obesity related liver disease within the next 15 years or so to become the number one killer in this country. It's a sobering figure. So again with the straight talk: No, this doesn't taste like sugar, there is a bit of an aftertaste. But then, sugar works on the same pathways as narcotics do on the brain, which is why they use it as a painkiller for newborns in the hospital setting. And why the food industry dumps it in products that traditionally, before mass industrialization of food products, weren't prepared without it. They know it's addictive as heck. But I have been using this for over three years now, and I can tell you...it is something you get to the point where you don't even notice the aftertaste. I know everybody wants to find a product where they can have their cake and eat it too and have it taste exactly the same, so to speak. That just isn't how it works, not with eating habits, not with exercise. Sometimes you have to give something up you really like for something that means more to you in the long run. Monks fruit is another natural option you can look into, and it is less bitter, and I use that for some things as well, but the long term effects haven't been studied as much as Stevia, and I'm a girl that loves safety first, which is why this is my preferred sweetener.

Great!
So great that this comes in a shaker bottle. A little goes a long way so shake in your hand first. I use packets for when u go out. But for the kitchen this is perfect! Great flavor quality ingredients!

Excellent product
I purchased this because it is just the pure Stevia. Good product and dissolves well. I definitely would recommend it and purchase again.

I like the shaker better than the packets.
I have been using the individual packets of SweeLeaf Stevia for a long time. Recently I realized that I just don't need a whole packet in my iced tea or my oatmeal and I was wasting partial packets. I saw this shaker and decided to try it. It definitely was the answer to my problem. Now I just shake some of the sweetener into my drink or food and there is no waste. it tastes the same as the packets and it is a taste I am well used to. I don't even notice it. It did take a little getting used to when I switched from Splenda to Stevia but, after a week or two, my tastebuds acquired the taste for this sweetener, The shaker container has both little holes for shaking out the powder like you would salt and a side that opens so you can put a spoon in or pour out a large amount. I don't need that large side and I tend to open the wrong side and that annoys me so I taped the big side shut. The holes could be smaller. They allow quite a bit of the sweetener out and I have shaken out too much at times. That is my only complaint about this product and the container. It needs smaller holes because the sweetener is strong and I only need a little in most cases. But otherwise, I am happy with this item. The sweetener is safe and the container makes it easier to use just the right amount. Just be careful not to shake out too much!

Convenient packaging & no bitter aftertaste
The plastic jar with dual flip top lid, one side to sprinkle & the other to soon, is a good size to fit in my spice shelves and is convenient to use. The stevia is cleanly processed and as long as you don't put more than necessary to reach your preferred sweetness, there is no bitter aftertaste. However, if you are not able to mix the powder completely into whatever you are trying to sweeten, then you may get a sharp taste from the undiluted stevia powder. For example, if you were to sprinkle it over fresh strawberries. I love using the stevia in my coffee and tea, and cook with it as well. It is a potent sweetener and requires much less volume of measurement than real sugar to bring to my preferred "sweet level". It doesn't affect any of my food allergies, cause IBS symptoms or blood sugar spikes. Side note: the powder is very fine, so turn off the ceiling fan or shield the container as you sprinkle it!

Yum.
This is pure stevia without other cheaper ingredients added. It substitutes well for sugar and has no bitter aftertaste.

I LOVE Sweetleaf Stevia. It is the best brand.
I LOVE Sweetleaf Stevia. This is the best brand. Tasty, consistent and this is the first time I have purchased the shaker bottle rather than the packets. This shaker bottle is a great option.

Good Product
Just a small amount goes a long way, so it lasts long.

Inconvenient packaging
The product itself is okay but the packaging isnt very good. Ive used similar stevia products that were much more concentrated and came with a little tiny scoop to measure with. This just comes in a salt shaker and its hard to measure how much to add to your drink. Ill get a different brand next time.

Pure Stevia powder
Not bad but doesn't dissolve particularly well. Very (very) sweet so only the very tiniest amount will sweeten. Not a huge fan of the taste and surprisingly i personally prefer something like Truvia that is more granulated and bulked with erythritol. Who'd have thought?...

Easy to bake with
I've used it to substitute sugar in both cookies and cake. While it wasn't too bad in the cookies, the cake wasn't very delicious. It's almost like you have to drink water with it to experience the sweetness, otherwise it's like it's not even there (which made for a pretty bitter cocoa cake). The cookies were better when I tried making them with half sugar, half sweetener. I haven't yet tried it half-and-half in the cake. Measuring it to use in recipes was easy. A little goes a long way: just follow the package directions. I can't imagine being able to use it in coffee as it would likely be way too sweet.

Disappointing package
3 stars due to plastic container. Now what advertised Edit: changing to 2 stars as they put a sticker on the directions for use. Wonโt be buying again
