Same story, of course, but it is a flashback with St Lucia shown as an adult initially and at the end. ♥️

Story well told

The movie's best feature is showing how young and innocent the children were, and despite that they would not budge from their story, the truth. Also, the miracle of the sun was not as detailed as the true nature of that miracle where the sun bounced and danced in the sky - not just changed sizes with a ring around it. In addition, all the folks who witnessed it testified that their clothing dried instantly when the sun came out and all of the clothing appeared to be newly laundered, ironed, and starched upon their bodies. The ground dried and shoes were all clean! Lucia continued to receive instructions from Our Lady throughout her life and although she was instructed by Our Blessed Virgin, the Holy MOTHER of GOD that "THE POPE OF 1960" should read a letter with instructions to the whole world from her containing both her own and Our Lord's instructions to the faithful - The Pope of 1960 read the letter, folded it up, conferred with his curia and stated privately to them "This is not for our time." That letter was locked in a box and read by Pope John Paul II who tried to carry out some of the wishes but things that should have been done in 1960 such as the consecration of Russia to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart were not done as instructed and as she had forwarned if her instructions weren't carried out, "Russia would spread her errors throughout the whole world" (atheism and communism - which we see even in our own blessed USA as our nation circles the drain. The whole thing concerning the third secret of Fatima is so interesting and is said to be a terrifying omen for our future at the end times. And since the fat jolly pope of 1960 decided very courageously and somewhat stupidly to vapidly IGNORE the instructions which amounted to the very will of heaven itself - I think we can count on things going perfectly awry even though Our Lady was trying to be helpful and save us. The movie was enjoyable though, but the story is so much more intricate.

After seeing the trailer, I had my reservation. The movie was very well made. It follows closely to the letters about this incredible event. The movie does not have a lot of CGI to make it irreverent. Much of the messages were “abbreviated” due to the times and fulfillment, perhaps? But the main idea remains… “stop insulting God for He has been insulted too much already”, very concise. I wish the final Miracle of the Sun is more detailed, maybe a bit closer to "The Passion of Christ"'s tear drop from the heaven level. Overall, a wonderful PG, religious movie that is a great addition to one's movie collection.

The movie is the reminder of that true miraculous event which had really happened and was witnessed at the time by many (over 70) thousands of eyewitnesses. However, as Holy Mother have said there: "there are people who will never believe, even when standing before the face of God". The miracle of sun in Fatima was witnessed by thousands of whom I know of one who has also confirmed the same. However, as also reminded by Franz Werfel: - "For those that believe [that is if truly open their heart and mind to it] no explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe, no explanation is possible"!In reality we should't really need any additional miracles to believe in God since our whole life and all our nature around us is just one big miracle in itself when deeply examined, and as compared by one famous geneticist when referring to human cell: - when penetrating its complex mechanism and structure under today's powerful electron microscope it is truly like "some kind of trip into the wonderland". That's just where our Creator has placed His signature, but despite all that from time to time God do allow us to witness manifestation of supernatural to dismiss our incorrigible doubt resulting from our deep materialistic attachment. These miracles are like candies for children to get our attention. Jesus also did them so people could believe that He was a real Messenger from God!Perhaps the most appropriate explanation comes to us from Dr. Alexis Carrel, a world-renowned scientist, Noble Prize recipient in medicine and at first so serious opponent of faith for whom it took such a miracle to start believing and who being converted had finally admitted that: "We cannot choose that what only suits our preferences, fantasy or the scientific or philosophical formation of our mind. Difficulty of understanding or ambiguity of something is not a sufficient reason to disregard such an issue ”.God Bless.
