This product is used to make gumpaste and fondant, does it add more elasticity? I have a recipe that calls for corn syrup. Could this product work?

Hello, I am a pastry chef and It really depends, glucoses can be made from other sources (not corn). I have this container and the ingredients do not specify. Corn syrup is obviously o oh made from corn. Depending on what you are making really depends on if you can substitute it or not. I personally would just give it a try. You can always recipe test it in a small amount. Glucose being an inverted sugar will help retain moister, and help prevent crystallization. It can help with elasticity. If this doesn’t work as a substitute you can 100% use this to make chocolate truffles, and ice cream(perfect for the summer). Hope this helped!

El jarabe de glucosa me ha resultado excelente para mis preparaciones de repostería. Tiene una textura muy uniforme y facilita muchísimo la elaboración de caramelos, fondant y glasé. Lo utilicé también en ganache y en la cobertura de pasteles, y le da una elasticidad y brillo muy agradables. El producto viene bien sellado, en buen estado y con la consistencia perfecta. Super disappointed

I would not recommended it !!!!! I went from super excited to super disappointed. when i opened it there was a complete mess, everything was really sticky. The container was opened and more than half came out. The worst part it seems i can not do anything about it☹️
