Nice for beginners. It provides all a beginner would need, the gloves fit well, and it is easy to store with the roll up.

The tools are very sharp and seem to hold an edge well. I only carve occasionally. May not hold up to professional use. Good for use like mine.

It came packaged nice and neatly in the box. The knives all have coverings so you don't accidentally cut yourself when you're not using them. However, all the knives need to be sharpened. The wood is soft to the touch and sturdy, but some of the blocks are so small I've been wondering what to do with them. Overall, a great kit for beginners

My son Was very excited for this kit. He has had fun learning to carve and use the different knives. I would suggest adult supervision to begin because they are very sharp!

Sharp and fun. But super hard task. Not easy for even a 14 year old or ME.
