Why did this product go from $14.99 to $90?! Absolutely rediculous

Because production has virtually stopped. The units you are seeing are being sold by speculators who KNOW you need these and so the ridiculous princes.

Why are you charging more than six time the msrp for this item? profiteering?

It would seem they are. The mc-20 is not available from any source for normal price. Not evEn Canon USA has them. There is a chip shortage. So those just happen to have some a jacking up the price.

Why is canon constantly backordered on things like this? not sure i would have bought the pro-1000 if i had known the poor availability for inks, etc.

I buy all my Pro-1000 supines from Red River Paper in Texas, rarely a problem.

So you empty it when it is full? So you only need one spare for when you are really busy?
