I've Bought It 3 Times Now
It's inexpensive, and has decimals opposite the fractions (I can't remember fractions, but decimals are no problem). The button on top locks it in place which is helpful. It's flexible enough to bend around things like stair tops, but still rigid enough to make it about 8 feet across before falling. My only issue, which might be true for all tape measurers, I haven't tested, is once it gets wet it won't retract anymore. I'm not talking submerge in water, I mean just used while it's raining. The rewind mechanism just gives-up and then it's garbage. But I keep buying them anyway.

Great readability, comfy grip, horrible packaging
This (orange case, in the pics) is the second Crescent Lufkin tape measure I've purchased. I already had the 25-foot tape (blue one, in the photos) and wanted a slightly smaller one to fit my hands better. (Note that the listed dimensions are wrong - they SHOULD read: 3" wide x 2.5" H x 1.5 D" (excluding the clip) - and NOT: "3.6 x 1.4 x 6.1 inches".) The bright color is great and of course the vertical, highly visible markings are why I wanted this particular model. So much easier to read from any angle - whether I hold the tape on the left or the right, the numbers are never more than 90deg from upright, and the font is quite legible even without my glasses. My main quibble is the horrible blister packaging - it was so difficult to remove, it took me ~15 minutes and three different tools (scissors, Swiss knife, pliers) to remove it from the plastic. It was so hard to maneuver the scissors around the package that they scratched the metal clip. This is only cosmetic of course but if it is this hard to remove the packaging for someone with normal dexterity, I can't imagine someone of my parents' generation doing so without injury. It's not only burly contractors who use tape measures. I use them to see if furniture will fit, to size up a closet for shelving, to cut carpet pads to the right length and so on. Inclusivity is beautiful and expands your potential customer base! Please reconsider the type of packaging - perhaps even swap out the hard plastic for something biodegradable. ETA: The 16' (orange) tape has a softer recall than the 25' model - much better for sparing your fingers.

Quick & accurate measurement.
Yes, that good! Bought several to disburse around the property for use. Pleased with the quality and design. No issues or complaints over the year of use.

Finally, a tape measure I cannot mis-read.
I like being able to read this tape using either hand. All my other tapes were designed to be read only from one side. Reading them upside down causes me to read 47 1/2" as 48 1/2" or 21 3/8" as 22 5/8". Unpacking was the pits had to risk cutting myself just getting it out of the transparent steel packaging. Must be some kind of trick to it not involving a hospital trip.

Excellent tape measure easy to read However see below
Excellent tape measure with easy to read markings. Others mentioned plastic case might be fragile? Nope, sturdy and bounced it off the cement floor a few times. Held together fine. Love the incremental 1/4" 1/2" etc marks. Makes it easy to repeat the exact measurement without resorting to counting the small lines. Like others have said, Lufkin engineered this tape measure the right way. Now comes the However part: The engineers goofed on the black tang you hook onto your board/item to measure. It is flimsy and has already started to buckle/wrinkle soon to break off. The EXTREME spring loaded snap back on this tape measure does not help. Never retired a tape measure after couple years use. Disappointing as this tape has become my favorite one.

Great for inspection
This has all the fractions and decimals on tape, so it is very handy in photos for inspection reports. Great tool

Solid, mechanically sound, and my aging eyes love the fractions and decimals on the tape. Have used it on a number of projects with no complaints.

Good quality
I'm a huge fan of Lufkin products and been using their tape measures in our shop and my home for years. shop. It was finally time to purchase new ones and I decided I would try this model. It's well built and does the job but I'm not a fan of the 1/8" increment markings as it looks very cluttered and busy. Still, we've decided to keep them as they are good quality tape measures.
