Fantastic shirts!
These are fantastic shirts. I was getting ready to go on a trip and wanted to try just bringing two shirts for the whole trip. Merino is legendary for odor resistance and warmth. But it also breathes and keeps you cool. It just does whatever you need to help regulate your temperature. So I purchased two of these shirts and gave them a shot. When I opened them, I was a little concerned about the thickness of the fabric. They are fairly thin, and I thought that might be a problem. Turns out I was wrong. Even with relatively thin fabric, the merino wool did its job very well. Wicked sweat and dried pretty quickly. The fabric is also soft and not itchy at all. Even after wearing all day through airports and multiple airplanes, I still felt fresh at the end of the trip. The shirt wasnโt too snug or too loose on me. I was able to style them alone with jeans or khaki pants and also use them as undershirts on cooler mornings. Good style all around. I washed them in a bag for delicate clothes and only used a small amount of detergent. I was worried about washing them, as wool is notoriously difficult to wash right. But these seemed to do fine. I felt like they were a little less soft after the second wash, but they never got itchy. The only negative is the conflicting instructions on washing. The shirt comes with one set of instructions on the paper tag, another set on the tag inside the shirt, and a website recommendation that has yet a third was of washing. So, should I wash them by hand? In a machine by themselves on delicate? I kinda gave up trying to figure out which way to do it and just used some common sense. But thatโs my only gripe. Otherwise this was a good purchase and Iโm sure Iโll buy more in the future.

Our salad spinner is now a washing machine, and these shirts are worth it!
Our salad spinner has become a washing machineโand these shirts are worth it. My husband and I are borderline evangelists for Merino wool. We wear it for travel, the gym, hiking, and everyday lifeโsocks, underwear, shirts, leggings, brasโฆ if it can be made from Merino, we apparently own it. ๐ We have plenty of high-end Merino pieces that cost twice as much and can go straight into the washing machine. So how did Merino.tech convince us to hand-wash? The weight. These are exactly the lightweight, breathable weight we want in a base layer, and the price makes them much easier to love. And we may have taken the hand-washing thing a little too far. We bought an industrial-size salad spinner. Seriously. Once a week, we soak a load of Merino clothes in the spinner bucket, squeeze out the water, then put everything back in and give it a good spin. Voilร โour very own Merino washing machine. It sounds ridiculous, but it works brilliantly. And yes, the salad spinner travels with us in our camper. On long road tripsโlike Yellowstoneโbeing able to wash a weekโs worth of Merino clothes without hunting down a laundromat is ridiculously convenient. It may be the strangest piece of camping equipment we own, but it earns its space every single trip. The shirts are lightweight, comfortable, breathable, and donโt get that โIโve been wearing this all dayโ smell that synthetic athletic shirts can develop. Theyโre great for layering without making you feel like youโre wearing a sweater underneath your clothes. Theyโre also true to size, which is always a welcome surprise when ordering clothing online. And a special shout-out to this shirt. My husband loved it out of the package and wore it shooting with the guys tonight. Are they as fancy as our $100+ Merino pieces? Maybe not. But theyโre an excellent value, and I actually like the weight of these better for travel and layering. If you understand why people get slightly obsessed with Merino wool, these are an easy recommendation. Just donโt be surprised if you find yourself buying a salad spinner for your wardrobeโand taking it camping.

My go to shirts
I now have a dozen of these shirts. Got six last year and six showed up today. They're great, Breathable but warm and very comfortable. The six ive worn throughout the last year are still holding up well. No runs at all but a couple small holes in a few pair but I wear them almost daily and machine wash after 2 wears. I should be hand washing them more often. The lighter colors are somewhat see through but the dark and richer colors look solid. Also I dont notice much of a fade between the color of the burgendy shirt ive been wearing 1-2 days a week for the last year and the one that showed up today. Fit is pretty slim. 6'1 athletic build with 40" chest and a medium fits well, its somewhat longer than most shirts too. It's never turned into a crop top after stretching or reaching up.

Please make them in medium weight! (Thin fabric develops holes)
I much prefer to wear merino wool under dress shirts so I bought a variety to test the various brands. In the end Merino Tech had more color options (and was about the only one that had a near-white option) so I bought a few of them in white and the light blue color. I've had them about a year now and quite like them but like a number of others, I've started to see holes developing in random places (chest on one shirt, back on another, front and back on a third). I wrote to the company asking why they only offer the t-shirts in the lightest-weight fabric but never got a reply. I've got long-sleeved base layers in their medium weight and it is noticeably sturdier. So while I like the t-shirts and have a number of them, they are noticeably flimsier than some (more expensive) competing brands. I wish they made them in medium weight!

Comfortable, Breathable, and Durable
As someone who hikes and spends a lot of time outdoors, Iโve been on the lookout for a solid base layer that can handle different weather conditions while staying comfortable. This Merino.tech 100% organic merino wool t-shirt and hiking sock combo really exceeded my expectations. First off, the t-shirt is incredibly lightweightโyou almost forget youโre wearing itโbut the warmth it provides is impressive. Whether itโs chilly mornings at a campsite or sunny climbs at noon, it does a great job regulating temperature. I never felt sticky from sweat or suddenly cold. The wool is super soft against the skin, with none of that itchiness you sometimes get from wool. What really surprised me is that even after wearing it for several days in a row, it barely had any odorโperfect for multi-day hikes. The socks are just as impressive. On long walks or hikes, they provided great cushioning and breathability. My feet stayed dry, and I didnโt get any blisters or hotspots like I do with regular cotton socks. Overall, this is a set truly designed for outdoor adventures and high-performance activities, but the minimalist look makes it easy to wear day-to-day too. Iโve already recommended it to several friends who love the outdoors as much as I do.

Decent wool shirt, not excellent
I purchased one of these shirts and shortly after I purchased another one because I liked it. It's a nice, airy 100% wool shirt. Smartwool and others typically (from what little knowledge/experience I have ) seem to do 10 or 11% Nylon to make them more durable. I can't speak to whether that's good or bad. I have washed these shirts twice, once by hand and once in my machine folded neatly and stuffed into a laundry bag. I lay them flat to dry. While wearing each, it felt like one was longer than the other, and sure enough that is indeed the case. One is 27" in length and the other is 28 1/2" in length. They're both mediums and they're both from this product listing. Kindof annoying that there's such a great difference in size. "fit" is more or less the same from one to the other. For around forty bucks, plus the free pair of mid-weight (not great fitting, but decent) socks it's an alright deal. I don't think I'll buy any more from these guys until I see how these shirts hold up over the years. It does seem to be actual wool since after going for objectively intensive walks in the warm weather, these shirts don't stink (even though I do) and they smell like wet sheep when I pull them out of the wash (hand wash or wash bags only). Construction is typical of a t-shirt. ribbing around the back of the collar to reinforce and keep its shape. Single seam at top of shoulder, seams at side. I would prefer a double seam at the top (keeping the very top flat) and side seams to taper inward, as it's more conducive to comfort while carrying a backpack, but that's a more expensive process. These are "casual" shirts, for sure. I may update this as time goes on :) UPDATE after about two years of daily alternating wear, one of them has become threadbare near one of the shoulders and has developed a pretty good size hole in the armpit. FYI

Review for Merino.tech Merino Wool T-Shirt โญโญโญโญโญ (5/5)
I recently purchased the Merino.tech Merino Wool T-Shirt for a holiday trip and couldn't be happier with my decision. This shirt is truly fantastic and exceeded my expectations in every way. Comfort and Fit: The shirt is incredibly comfortable, made from 100% organic Merino wool. The material is soft against the skin, and the fit is perfect. I ordered a size Large, and it fits true to size without being too tight or too loose. Performance: I wore this t-shirt for several days during my trip, and it performed exceptionally well. Despite the extended wear, it remained fresh and didn't retain odors like other fabrics might. This was particularly impressive and convenient for travel. Easy Maintenance: One of the best features is how easy it is to wash. Even with multiple wears, a quick wash brought it back to feeling clean and fresh. The shirt dries quickly, making it perfect for on-the-go lifestyles. Overall: I would highly recommend the Merino.tech Merino Wool T-Shirt to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile base layer. Whether for travel, outdoor activities, or everyday wear, this shirt is a great investment. I'll definitely be buying more in the future! Would buy again without hesitation.

Drop in quality
The last two times I've bought these t-shirts there has been problems with them. I bought one and it arrived with several large holes. I returned it and got a new one. This new one I've washed about two times, and now a large circular hole has appeared on the back, but it's a week past the return window. This might just be bad batch, but it could also signal a decline in quality.

Soft and lightweight
I have a few merino wool t-shirts as I like them for my extended travels in warmer countries during Canada's winter. The Merino.tech t-shirt is very soft and lightweight, perfect for warmer climates. The fit is as expected. When I wear this one out, I'll be buying another.
