TempPro TempTrack Large LCD Digital Meat Thermometer for Cooking, Smoking

This TempPro TP16 digital meat thermometer has become one of my favorite kitchen tools. The large LCD display is easy to read, the probe is accurate, and the alarm lets me know exactly when my meat reaches the perfect temperature. I used it while making homemade kielbasa and grilling chicken, and it took all the guesswork out of cooking. The long probe cable works great in the oven and on the grill, and the built-in timer is a nice bonus. If you want juicy, perfectly cooked meat every time, I highly recommend this thermometer. Excellent value for the price!

Accurate, works good.

SO SO HAPPY with results!!! Bought an expensive rib roast and really needed an accurate temp thing that works IN the oven. Was skeptical but works amazingly, i set the expected temp a few degrees lower just in case it had a faulty alarm or something and it rung perfectly on time and moderately loud so i wouldnt miss it but also wouldn’t disturb neighbors lol. Looks great and no issues with anything at all! So easy to put together and put away, super cool timer function i have yet to try, and the display is great and the magnet works very well! 90% done with the roast rn, i had set it to go off at 117 degrees F and stayed in the roast while cooking for 3-4 hours. Excuse the ‘loosely foiled’ rib roast, just trying out what an online recipe says to do.

I use a thermometer almost every day. This one has a magnet on the back so I keep mine on the side of the refrigerator for easy access. It is compact and seems to be calibrated well. I have eye issues so the bright backlight allows for easy reading. My only negative is that the cord for the probe is a wire material. It isn’t as flexible as my previous thermometer. It kinks easily. But overall it works well.

We found this thermometer to be accurate, and because it uses a probe that goes inside the oven and into the meat, while the read-out part is outside the oven, you don't need to open the oven at all until the meat has reached the desired temperature, so the oven temperature remains constant.

This has been my go-to brand of food thermometer for years. I make cheese, and there are several stages in the process where I need to hold the temperature at a certain level. It's nice to be able to set the upper temperature and have an alarm go off when I need to adjust things. The wire on the probe is long enough that I can set the thermometer on counter next to the stove, out of the way of burners. It's also long enough to use in my smoker as well. I've found the temperature to be accurate and it goes a long time on a single battery. The magnet on the back is strong enough to stick on the fridge, which is where I store it between uses. Although it has preset temperatures for various meats, I find it just as easy to adjust temps up or down using the buttons on the top. I've had at least three of these in the past five years and they are quite sturdy. The only reason I've had so many is that for some reason, I have a tendency to drop them in water (usually when I'm cooling hot milk in a water bath and the controller part slips into the water.)

I am revising my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars due to excellent customer service from this company. We've had this thermometer for a couple of months and the probe wire was starting to fray. This is a common issue with meat thermometers, but I was surprised by how quickly it happened. I wrote a review of this product, stating that I would probably have to order a replacement probe soon. Earlier today, a representative from ThermoPro contacted me by telephone to let me know that they saw my review and that there is a one-year warranty on this product. They offered to send me a free replacement probe by mail right away. I have never had a company be so proactive with their customer service, and I was really blown away that they took the time to get in touch with me and rectify my complaint. I didn't have to call a toll-free number and sit on hold for an hour to obtain an RMA number, or fill out unduly long/annoying web forms, or take photos from 10 different angles. We previously had a very expensive All-Clad meat thermometer, and when the probe wire began to fray, we discovered that there was no option to purchase replacement parts in Canada, so we had to buy a whole new meat thermometer. One of the reasons I recently decided on the ThermoPro (besides a very reasonable price and good reviews) is because I saw that I could order inexpensive replacement probes from Amazon. However, it turns out that the company will replace them for free within a year. The thermometer itself works well and is easy to use. A very good product at a great price point. It would be nice to see the probe wire covered in a silicone sheath to prevent tangling (which is what led to the fraying).
