Great Tuo chef knife

I have a Messermeister set for work but wanted to have something at home and was surprised how nice this TUO was. Nice fat handles and the weight distribution is pretty fair. They are heavier than my professional set but nothing to fret about. Totally worth the money. I bought each one (5 total) separate to customize my set but they sell these in a block set as well. Honing after 4 uses is recommended.

I very much like the heavy feel of the knife. It feels substantial. It came sharp and instructions tell one to handwash sharp knives, never put them in a dishwasher, and clean off acidic stuff like tomatoes immediately I bought a full set of these knives. I think the instructions about knife care, was the most important part of the buy. I tossed a bunch of low value knives and carefully sharpened a few I kept. Furthermore, I hate to toss more old knives, but the new set is all I need, they have a better balance, and space is at a premium.

Feels good, has a sharp edge. blade has a slight wave on the sharp face,works well , just expected it to be even and straight.

You forget the joy of working with a really sharp knife! Great knife and much better blade than most knives at this price point. Comfortable grip and balance. Looking forward to many years with this one. It also comes beautifully packaged, so makes it an amazing gift.

The handle is wood so DO NOT SOAK it! The blade takes a good edge and holds it nicely
