ShortSaver V2 Smart Smoke Stopper Electronic Fuse | Detect and Prevent Short-Circuit and Overload, Power Switch for Receiver Binding, XT30 & XT60 Available

I bought this before powering up my FPV drone after a major crash repair, and I’m really glad I did. I had to completely dismantle my iFlight Nazgul Evoque F5 V3 O4 Pro to replace a broken arm, a motor, an LED strip, and solder all the wires back together. It was my first time doing this kind of repair, so I was definitely nervous about plugging in a battery for the first time. After doing some research, I decided to use the VIFLY ShortSaver V2 as a safety check before connecting a LiPo directly. Thankfully, everything had been soldered correctly and the drone powered up without any issues, so the smoke stopper never had to do its job. But that’s exactly why I’m happy I had it. If I had made a wiring mistake, this could have saved my flight controller and other expensive electronics from being damaged. The unit is simple to use, feels well made, and gives a lot of peace of mind when working on drones. Even though I hope I never actually need it to trip, it’s one of those tools that makes a stressful first power-up much less stressful. For anyone who builds, repairs, or modifies FPV drones, it’s a useful piece of kit to keep in the toolbox.

This smoke stopper is the very best, and I’ll tell you why. First of all, and the most important is it cuts the connection of an overload or short immediately as I have tested this functionality by shorting out a 4s 1500 mAh battery. The second reason it’s the best is you can change the amount of draw it takes to show an overload, it has 3 different draws you can choose from, High , Medium, and Low. It comes with two style plugs, XT-30, and XT-60, input and output. And the very best reason why I love this smoke stopper so much is has an on/off switch for the unit. Anyone that builds quads or anything with a receiver or flight controller knows what a pain it can be to plug the LiPo in while holding down the bind switch. Well with this on, off switch that’s not an issue, plug your LiPo in while it’s turned off, press your bind button, then just click the switch on and if no smoke or sizzle, your bound. Easy Peasy.

I use this for first time powering up of equipment (such as fpv drone) just in case I've wired something wrong or have a short. No one wants to see smoke coming out of their circuits, and these prevent that from happening.

Such a nice relaxing feeling plugging in the battery for the first time, knowing this will protect the flight controller and all the precious electronics. The "on/off" switch also makes testing the configuration much easier. Love it!.
