I got this in case I ever come across a stray; I will scan them. I love that it scans really fast, and I already tried it on my own microchipped pets; the numbers show up accurately. I love that it also fits in my pocket, so it's super easy to carry around.Keep in mind, I used this on an older pet with a very old microchip brand from AVID. This new scanner does not scan older chips but works wonders with the newer ones. The way I found out is how my hospital has their own microchip universal scanner and they're huge. The big scanner was able to read the AVID microchips but when I tried it with mine, it wouldn't scan it. It's great overall but keep in mind that it may not scan older brand microchips.

This item works great!It has helped us locate owners of several of the strays that we've found.A must have for animal lovers - long battery life and easy to use.Glad we purchased it. Will probably add several more so we can keep one in each vehicle.Save our butt (and the strays too) so we could find out if they were chipped and not have to wait for the vets office to open or drive an hour to a pet store. Helped up reunite several animals with their owners.

Good product helped me determine if a stray cat, belonged to anyone and was chipped? The cat was not chipped, but my 2 adoptees are, and the scanner easily read the numbers. I am glad to have one of these in case anymore cats show up?

I am thoroughly impressed at the size, quality and affordability of this scanner! Our dog rescue ordered two more after getting in the first one! They work perfectly!!

Extremely easy to use. It reads a chip immediately. Seems to hold a charge for a long time. Keeping it in my purse to help strays I find!

Device arrived with a documentation folder for AV180v instead of AV190A. They are similar, but this does not inspire confidence. There are zero instructions on HOW to load scans to a computer, and there is no way to manually read them from the device except immediately after a scan. Tried both ISENVO.com and YANZEO.com to find software for pc or android to download scans but the "demo" software for another device was all I could find. It appears that they are trying to force users to more expensive devices.

Well, this is USELESS! It reads nothing, and I went back to read the find print - it does not read all chips. What good it it?? This is dangerous for the safety and proper finding/returning of lost/found pets! I'm disgusted with this product and am out of my return window.

I purchased to make sure I could verify the placement of Fi microchips on my litter of puppies. Worked perfectly. I have read it doesn’t work with the older sequence of chips though. Know what you are buying.
