Thicker = Better!
It works! A few drops, and your silicone will be thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. Donโt try on anything other than silicone, though. Donโt ask.

Excellent for thickening Rebound 40
Phenomenal stuff! Used to make a mold with Smooth on rebound 40. My first two coats without thi-vex leaked all over the table, last coat put just 3-4 drops in and stirred for a couple minutes and thickened it perfectly, last coat stayed put and didnโt waste materialโฆexcellently stuff!!!

Careful. Very strong.
Use sparingly, a little goes a long way. If you see with dragon skin, start with one or two drops as it shortens cure time. Haven't used it 3nough to talk about durability but the company is know for its amazing products, so I wont doubt this one.

Great stuff, goes a long way!
I don't need to use it that often so a bottle will last me for years. Yes it still works well after a few years after opening. A little goes a long way. Add some drops to your silicone and stir it, in a few seconds you will know if it has thickened enough. If not, add a bit more. I like using it for brush on molds. I put a thin layer of silicone (without the thivex added) and then add the thivex thickened layers until I have the desired thickness (let it cure about 75%-90% before adding more layers) It will save you a lit of money in the end especially on large molds and prototypes. I am a big fan of thivex. Note: this is for platinum cured silicones. I have used it with tin cured silicones and unfortunately it never thickened it.

Very disappointed.
WARNING: DOES NOT THICKEN Polycraft GP-3481F RTV Silicone. I added lots of drops to no avail. So I ended up having to do loads of silicone layers to compensate. I know it works with ither silicones, smooth-on silicones for example, because I've watched countless videos of it working (my reason for using it). Very disappointed, but now I know. Thought I might need a pipette, but product has handy dropper already. Easy to control quantity dripped with care. Easy to remove lid.
