Gets hot fast, stays very consistent, very reliable. Read second half **UPDATE**
Great little rig, heats up fast, stays very consistent. It stays on for at least 8 hours a day, had it for over a month now and it works great. I didn't get the one with the digital temp display or sleep mode, I don't need those options, just needed a solid, consistent iron and i like this more than my weller. I came in one morning, turned it on and a few minutes later had a horrible smell in our assembly room. I started looking around and it was my soldering Iron. There was no smoke or fire or sparks, nothing dangerous but the handle had melted and bent so the heating element was melting the inside of the iron. I turned it off and it was shot. Done! I was really disappointed because I solder for hours and hours at a time every day, I have to totally pro soldering stations, one of them is a really expensive weller station and I like this one more. I got home, got on amazon and sent a message to the manufacturer. The next morning, I had an email from them asking for my name and ship to address. A few days later a whole new station showed up with my UPS man. I was very pleased and surprised at that. I messaged them back, thanked them for the excellent customer service and the new one is still going strong. I am usually not real hot on chinese made stuff, especially these days with that crap they pulled with this virus mess... but that has nothing to do with the soldering iron people. I would buy this again from this seller / company in a heart beat.

Perfect budget soldering station
Excellent for the price. I bought the 927-I-ST Novice solderers should beware though: the Temperature dial is pure marketing gimmick. It should simply read Low-High rather than 392-896. It has absolutely zero ability to regulate temperature. I find setting it to abot '600' and then waiting around 2 minutes gives me a reasonably stable 700 degrees perfect for PCB work. Better to let the torch head slowly, if you crank it up to use the 'heats in seconds' feature, you will likely have problems overshooting your temperature target and maintaining the heat for actual soldering It will shoot past your temperature target after more than a few minutes of running; so the real temperature control is the sponge. I don't consider any of this as negative though; for 30 bucks this is a fantastic bare bones soldering station. Was able to build a high end condenser microphone; do precision PCB work using this soldering station. If you take the time to practice and learn the way this station puts out and builds up heat and don't rely on the temperature setting, it will perform just fine.

Good Station for Around $30, Overall Good Quality
Works well, boxed well, cheapest version did not come with extra tips but not a problem. Most cheap Chinese soldering irons include tips so I have a set laying around. There is plenty of options around the same price, this is a good option if youโre looking for a soldering station with adjustability. Soldering iron cord is made of soft rubber/silicone, so it wonโt get all twisted up when youโre trying to work. Also, most cheaper irons with heat control have the dial on the iron, Ive found myself having to turn the heat back up constantly since it gets moved by your hand during use (Eventually putting tape over it).

Heats quick, stays at temp, works good
I got two of these one for my garage and one for home and it works great. Heats REALLY quick. No more waiting for solder iron to heat up. Literally seconds and it is ready. LED lets you know when it is heated up. Temperature controls work well. Like the stand and the cleaner. Great value and nice to have a good soldering iron.

Worked Great
Purchased this soldering iron for a job at our church where we are installing an entire new sound system. It required running 16 hidden XLR lines to our sound system rack and speaker lines. It comes with several soldering tips which need to be tinted and I used the flat one to tint all the wire ends and the pointed one to connect the wires to the XLR connectors and boxes. It heats up very fast and the wet sponge and brass wool worked great to clean off the tips. For the price I am very happy.

This was a good purchase !
I have Approx. 20 hours use on this soldering iron station and it functions as described. This unit heats up very, very fast and recovers from it's sleep mode to operating temperature in a flash. The Arms are for light duty work like holding a small board but are efficient. The extra tips of different design come in handy for various thicknesses of soldering too. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend this station to anyone that does light duty soldering.

Good solder iron, not so much its widgets, base, and third hands.
I love this little solder iron despite all of its flaws. PROS: - It heats fast and keeps its temperature. - The tips it came with aren't bad for a hobbyist. They aren't prone to oxidate after a few days of soldering like some cheaper irons. - The iron holder is solid and nice. - The cable connecting the iron to the base is flexible and easy to keep out of the way. This is always a big plus and much appreciated. - It comes with a tiny brass sponge and small amount of flux. I find myself using the flux often to keep my tips clean and protected between sessions and increase their lifetime. That's a nice touch. CONS, which are mostly because of all the gizmos and widgets. They looked good on paper, but I wouldn't mind doing away with all of them: - The front panel came partially unglued out of the box. A little cyanoacrylate glue and it was as good as new, but still. - The base is light, entirely plastic, and feels cheap. - The cushions under the base are slippery. The base being rather light makes the slipperiness worst. - The little magnifying glass is too small. You can't look through it with both eyes and that makes impossible to gauge depth. The len is made of plastic and was already all scratched and foggy out of the box. Trying to polish it is clearly too much trouble. - The little lamp under the magnifying glass is too weak to serve any purpose unless you're trying to have an intimate soldering seance in the dark. Who knows, maybe that's your thing. - Those helping hands are very frustrating and basically useless. They turn limp under the barest of weight, like a small prototyping PCB, and have this cheap springy give that makes it impossible to hold even the smallest part precisely in place. I end up having to also use both my pinkies to direct and hold parts where I need them, which defeats the purpose. - Those 3 memorized "channels"/temperatures are rather useless given the speed at which the iron heats and cools. It's trying too hard and a simple dial with an LCD would have sufficed. - The sponge is too thin. Those cheaper irons always come with sponges that are too thin. Once again you get what you pay for.
