Very good, works as indicated
Very good product. A little goes along way. I use it every morning. Keeps my bears nice and soft. It is manageable and not an overwhelming scent

Works great, no residue, smells nice, no discoloration
Fragrance is a nice warm spice but not overwhelming. Conditions my "Santa" beard very well helps it be soft and smooth and stays perfectly natural white. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to be. Just opened my newest jar this morning

Solid beard balm that works best as part of a full beard routine
Verdict: Good value and effective when used correctly, but not a standout if you’re expecting all-day moisture on its own. I’ve been using this Scotch Porter Conditioning Beard Balm as part of a regular beard care routine, including beard shampoo and a leave-in conditioner, and in that context it performs well. Performance & feel: The balm helps soften coarse facial hair, adds light moisture, and provides just enough control to keep things looking tidy. It spreads easily and doesn’t feel greasy or heavy. Scent is pleasant and not overpowering, which I appreciate for daily use. Moisturizing & hold: On its own, this isn’t the most moisturizing or longest-lasting beard balm I’ve tried. If you apply it without proper prep (clean beard, some conditioning beforehand), it can feel a bit underwhelming. Used after a beard shampoo and paired with a leave-in conditioner or oil, however, it does exactly what it claims to do—smooths, softens, and helps shape the beard. Value: At $9.99 for a 3 oz jar, it’s a solid value, especially for a reputable brand. You’re not paying premium pricing, and the quality reflects that in a fair way. Bottom line: This is a good, dependable beard balm—not a miracle product, but far from bad. If you already follow a proper beard care routine, it fits in nicely and does its job well. Good choice if: you use beard shampoo and conditioner and want a reliable finishing balm. Skip it if: you want maximum moisture or all-day conditioning from a single product.

Scotch Porter Conditioning Balm
This product was part of the collection offer in the Scotch Porter Beard Kit. After my friend used all the balm from the beard kit, he asked me to order more. The scent is clean, fresh and not overpowering. You get that same spicy and musk smell as the other Scotch Porter products. There is no irritation or dryness, only softness. The creamy texture of the balm makes it easy to work into his beard and does not leave a greasy feel. The use of the balm and smoothing oil is now part of his daily skin care routine. In conclusion, this is a product that we will be purchasing again.

It really is a great product
Like a lot of you with beards, I struggle a bit with itch, dandruff, and manageability. This cream addressed all of these. It's not a cure for serious beard dandruff, but it reduced mine to almost nothing. Before, I had to use a prescription shampoo and cream to address it, but it's so negligible now, I don't use them anymore. It smells great (my wife and I both love the smell), it makes my beard much softer to the touch, and it really helps with manageability. I have a wavy-hair beard, not a long, straight hair one and this helps with the renegade hairs that make it look like a neglected yard. I've had my best luck with blow drying my beard to an almost-dry state and then adding the balm while I finish drying it. And for the record, the blow dryer helps a lot with itching, as does the balm. It's really good stuff and I can't imagine you not liking it.

Smells Amaxing, Poor Packaging
I got this for my boyfriend as part of a gift. Cons: 1) No seal: I was disappointed with the packaging. I opened it to make sure everything was good and it looks used. Lots of other reviews are saying this, too. I don't think that's the case, but because there is no seal on it, it's hard to tell. 2) Sharp packaging: The packaging has sharp edges in the top of the container, so when you're unscrewing the lid, your fingers run along the container. He'll have to open it with his palm, then remove the lid to prevent that. Pros: 1) Texture & Feel: The texture is smooth and it doesn't feel greasy. A little goes a long way. 2) Scent: The scent is super sexy! Another reviewer said that it was too strong, but I highly disagree. I think it is something that if you're getting in close with someone to cuddle, they may not let go of you. It smells that good! But it is not at all overpowering. To me it smells like the slightest hint of vanilla and amber with a spicy, musky overall smell like the packaging suggests.

Great for Coarse Beards – Lightweight and Effective
I have a very coarse beard, and after trying countless products, I can confidently say that the Scotch Porter Beard Balm is one of the best moisturizers out there. It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and really helps to soften my beard and make it more manageable for styling. I’ve tried many oils in the past, but none of them have done as good a job at conditioning and taming my beard as this balm does. If I had to mention one drawback, it’s that the scent isn’t as noticeable as I’d prefer, but at least it’s subtle and not overpowering. If you’re looking for a high-quality beard balm that works especially well on coarse hair, you really can’t go wrong with this one.

Love it and my beard feels softer than ever

Why did you choose this product over others?: Its a very good conditioner with no drawbacks Smell: Lovely subtle fresh smell. Doesnt overpower aftershave, but has a nice fresh/clean smell, very pleasant Ease of application: Ive had 2 of these now and they are very consistent. Nice and creamy, but absorbs really well, with no/little residue. Quality: Feels very good quality and the jar looks nice and understated too as a bonus. Has a nice conditioning feel with a slight antifrizz, hold....slightly Value for money: Ive tried loads of others and this is hands down the best value and also does the best job. Moisturizing: As I said its works brilliantly, beard feels, nice and soft and looks like its a lot tidier.

Brought this for my hubby to try. As others in the past have not been unsatisfactory. This item smooths his beard, lays the fly away hairs neatly in place. Smells nice and gives a lovely slight shine.
