Shark Lift Away NV602UK Upright Vacuum Cleaner Although this Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner is one of the older models, my upright vacuum cleaner stopped working and is out of its warranty period so I needed to order a reliable vacuum cleaner as a matter of urgency. I had been looking at the Shark Cordless Vacuum Cleaners but could not make a quick decision so went with this safe option and I am extremely happy with this Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner. The lightweight design of this Shark Vacuum Cleaner is fantastic allowing not only myself to vacuum clean out home but also my parents. The dust pickup is fantastic and visible in the transparent dust collector. Within ten minutes of vacuum cleaning downstairs, which was also very quick with this Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner, the amount of dust it collected was truly impressive and appreciated by myself as I suffer with allergies and in particular dust allergy. This Shark Vacuum Cleaner is very easy to use and is one of the more basic Shark models with limited tools but sufficient crevice tools to clean edges and corners. Even vacuuming the stairs was not a problem with this Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner thanks to the lightweight and carry handle. The build of this Shark vacuum cleaner is high quality and I cannot fault the Shark Ninja customer service when I had a slight issue with the rollers on this Shark vacuum cleaner. I purchased this vacuum cleaner during a Prime Deal at great price and have been using this Shark vacuum cleaner for almost a year now. I would like to purchase a Shark cordless vacuum cleaner soon for quicker daily cleans instead of taking this Shark corded vacuum cleaner out, plugging it in etc which I prefer to do at weekends when I have more time. I am familiar with the Shark vacuum cleaners as all our families own a Shark vacuum cleaner predominantly Shark upright vacuum cleaners compared to Shark cordless Vacuum cleaners. Generally we are Shark brand fans so have many Shark products due to high performance, reliability and good customer care at Shark Ninja. The Shark vacuum cleaners come with 5 year guarantees if registered in a timely manner at Shark Ninja UK and I appreciate this guarantee timeframe provided.

Great product delivered quickly. Picks up every bit as much dust as my £300 Shark but is so much lighter so ideal for anyone with mobility or dexterity issues who struggles with heavier weighted vacuum cleaners. I would say the cord hooks could be higher up but that's a personal thing because of back issues and the crevice tool does fall off its holder when the vacuum is pushed around. So some tiny little design issues but the lighter weight is definitely this vacuum cleaner's best feature ! I would highly recommend it just on that alone ! Two modes, carpet and hard floor. Sucked so much dust out of my carpet and yet it had been hoovered with the £300 Shark earlier today ! All in all, incredible suction, lightweight and simple to use. A little on the flimsy plastic side in places but for £130 you can't complain at all. Thank you Shark x

Bought this Shark NV602UK vacuum cleaner to replace an aging Dyson. We've previously owned 2 Dysons, which have been good purchases - worked well and lasted for several years. However, they were both heavy machines and awkward to use on stairs and landings, and a replacement Dyson would have been fairly expensive... Shark were recommended in a recent Which? survey, and this particular model was on offer when we purchased it, so decided to buy one. It seems to have been a good buy, though we've only had it for a month. It's very good on vacuuming carpets - probably a bit better than the Dyson upright it replaced. It's noticeably lighter, which makes it much safer to carry up and down stairs. It has a "lift off" design - which means you can detach the bottom part of the machine and walk around cleaning the stairs, ceilings, etc. carrying just the wand and suction unit. These are quite light in weight. Are there any drawbacks? Some of the plastic does feel slightly flimsy and you wonder how well it will stand up to frequent use - but there's a 5 year warranty (providing you register with Shark) so they must be fairly confident it's going to last at least that long. Some other reviewers have commented on the suction unit being a bit unstable when detached from the bottom roller, but I've found it still works quite happily even if it's lying on its side! I've found dust collection capacity is sufficient to be able to vacuum several rooms before needing to empty it. Seems to be a good purchase so far.

Just like hundreds of other households, we discussed ad nauseam - the brands - the models - the type - of vacuum cleaner we needed/wanted for our home. I'd say it took a bit of convincing to have my husband agree to this brand and model (having been stuck on Dyson cordless for a while), but now that we have this - he is a big fan and how! Has happily taken over vacuuming duties for the house - not an outcome I anticipated but this just goes on to show just how wonderfully constructed, ergonomic and effective this model is. The Vacuum suction power is great, the dust storage tank has sufficient capacity, the cord is long enough to vacuum large rooms, sleak enough to not occupy a lot of space in under-stairs storage cupboard. I am confident this will last us a long time - money well spent!

I really felt I had to write a review as I picked up on a few negative comments and they can really put you off buying a product. I really wasn't expecting such a powerful and multi-functioning cleaner. 6 months ago I had new carpet put in and I've had hundreds of those annoying fluff bits sitting on the top all that time! My strongest cordless just washed over them and it never had a powerful clean. I used Max mode and it picked up every bit and all my carpet looks as if it's just been put in - I'm SO pleased! Because nothing has been as powerful, each room picked up a full dust cup making each room look like they'd been cleaned professionally. Another thing I was worried about were the comments about the cord not being long enough to do the stairs - if you live in a normal terrace like me, with 2 medium flights, it's absolutely perfect... and the suction on the stairs is again incredible. Yes, on Max its a bit tough to push, but how else are you going to get the muck up! To avoid paying silly prices, a little more 'push' is well worth it. I really think this is excellent value for money - it's sturdy, everything makes sense when you're working out where to put things (little guides are all over the body of the machine) and is so usefully multi-functional. Only tiny downside is the bit about not being able to push it under sofas etc, but I can't see how to avoid that if you're buying it for the lift-away function which is so helpful on the stairs. Also a few people commented about it sucking up the rugs... but on a low setting it works fine on mine. Don't let these tiny comments put you off... the main reason I buy a vacuum is to keep my carpets looking fresh, dust free, pet hair free, and clean... and that's what this does. I'd recommend going for this model :-)

This is as close to the perfect vacuum cleaner I have owned (I have had Henry/Dyson, even Amazon hoovers)... But this machine is the beast I have always wanted. It literally filled up in one hoovering session (capacity not a problem, large), and it took seconds to empty without anything getting stuck. The cord length is more than enough. It's very effective at picking up pretty much anything. If anything does get hoovered up by accident it's easy to trace and remove. The speed settings are enough hard/soft. The lights are fantastic, I can see every single piece of dust and dirt there is. It's not heavy to move and makes hoovering fun again. It even looks fantastic. I find it hard to fault so the only thing would be the white dust filter needing to be washed or replaced, but I think it's necessary. Anyway, definitely buy it and ignore the people saying it's cheap, I don't know what they hoover with but it's definitely well made. Plastic doesn't need to be as solid as a 1960s hoover, it adds weight, just like cars didn't have carbon fibre, times change.

Sad I know but I love this hoover! The first few times I used it, it was a real workout but then I noticed the min-max option on the handle! I also saw it as pretty heavy but I've worked out if you lift it by the handle on the bin, its a lot easier! Has great suction, simple switch between hard floor and carpet and transparent bin which is easy to remove and empty. The cord length is good, if I plug it in, in the middle of my house I can't reach front to back and to the top of the stairs. I know corded seems a bit old fashioned these days but personally I think if you want constant suction and the option to use whenever you need, without having to waiting for it to charge, its the only option. When I use as a lift off I do knock it over a fair bit so need to master that but I'd definitely recommend. Also bought a universal extention for the stairs/sofa which works great. It feels sturdy enough so hoping it lasts a lot longer than my last one!

Happy with the price Black Friday deal, happy with the delivery, very happy and impressed with the product itself especially it's performance....however, I ordered this to use in the upstairs rooms as the Shark Stratos, my original cleaner, is outstanding but heavy and cumbersome for the smaller rooms, I'm very disappointing as it is not a "Powered lift away", in other words, you cannot just use the main cleaner head on the long cleaner pole to get under beds, it transforms it into an old cylinder cleaner, the main brush head does not have electrical power. Short and sweet, I'm a happy with this cleaner and its performance, lighter in weight than the Stratos just doesn't go under beds, the Stratos is £200 dearer just to have the powered lift away!

This is lightweight and brilliant! Get extra filters though. I'm going to get another one! Love it!
