I've been a ham for 40+ years and have owned many different radios. This Yaesu FTDX-5000mp Limited is replacing my FT-1000mp MkV. The receiver is more sensitive and with all the filters and digital signal processing controls it makes weak signals much more readable than any other radio that I have ever owned. This is a big beautiful radio with lots of buttons and knobs, and can be a little intimidating to a new ham. I grew up with big radios so this was exactly what I was looking for. If there is a flaw in the Yaesu FTDX-5000mp Limited, I haven't found it. The vendor shipped it out immediately and it arrived 2 days later with standard shipping instead of the estimated 14 days. Great radio and great service.
