Liquitex Professional Matte Super Heavy Gel Medium, 946ml (32-oz)

I love it. Very helpful. I think of this product and my whole body feels relief. I'm so glad it exists, not only for creating texture in acrylic and filling gaps in 3-D work, but also because it saved me once when I needed an acid-free collage adhesive. This was recommended as such in some forums. It's very matte. It's very heavy-body. Keeps its shape nicely when dried. I gave it only 4 stars in the areas of ease of use and spreadability, just because it's not. But I have no suggestions on how to improve that. It's difficult to mix into paint --- takes some patience and muscle work. But that's normal for heavy body acrylic products. There's no way around that. The container is ugh as far as that the product tends to dry out quickly around the top if you are getting into it often, or for longer than a minute or so at a time with the lid off. But again, I see no way around that, and I just accepted it and tried to enjoy it as part of the personality of the experience. Well worth the money. Liquitex is my favorite brand, and this product did not disappoint.

Buy the big size. I got double the amount for almost the same price.. Works great for creating impasto paintings! Make sure you seal the jar right away, or it will dry out on you. It made my paints thick enough to make impasto 3d painting.

A wonderfully thick medium that is so very workable for many mixed media applications. I love the extremely thick but soft and creamy texture out of the jar and keep a smaller jar for daily use so as not to compromise the larger amount. I have yet to find something this does not work with in my mixed media art. It even mixes with eyeshadows to make a glimmer/glitter//sparkle/non-stick semi-gloss/matte/whatever you need bling finishing technique that many of us just have to have in our work. Another product I will continue to use over and over again.

The product is the best I’ve found to open drains and keeping them clear. I own multiple units and it has saved plumber bills. I now use it for maintenance to prevent problems. It has not damaged any of my fixtures.

Liquitex makes great art supplies. This matte gel medium is no exception. It is outstanding in consistency and performance. Compared to other mediums on the market, it is worth every penny.

I ordered this with the intent to start palette painting. I thought it would be a bit thicker (more like paste) for texture but it was alright. I gave it 4 stars because when it arrived the seal was broken. If I waited longer to use it I am not sure if it would have dried a little. works nicely with a smooth consistency. Other than the broken seal, 5 stars. (Not product fault that I had different expectations.) If you will be using this for palette painting you may need more than anticipated to get the desired level of texture.

Liquitex is my go too brand for everything including paint. I know there are better products but for the money these are great. I am going to mix this with the cheap craft paint so make my own heavy body acrylic paint. As it states it is matte and super thick. Great for mixed media as well as painting.

I love using this for texture in paintings, and it's super easy to use and looks great. The finish is really nice and it doesn't deflate or introduce bubbles when drying. I guess my only grievance is how pricey it is, but that might be because I tend to use A LOT at once.
