UV Light for Cyanotypes
I ordered the Everbeam 365nm 50W UV LED Black Light for Cyanotype Projects. Used in conjunction with a handmade ‘light box’. Takes about 6 minutes for dry cyanotypes, 9 plus minutes for wet cyanotypes. Works great. Provides a consistent light source.

365nm is real UV not just purple light like most of the other low cost lights.
This thing is the real deal, not just a purple light. Lit up my tapestry like crazy! Well worth spending a few extra bucks to get the 365nm 50W This size light is good for one average size wall.

Good for resin?- yes
I bought this item to cure resin and it works great for my purpose. It’s nice and powerful and the right nm for strong curing.

The 365nm, 50W light is not perfect, but it's just what I was looking for!
This review is for the 50 watt 365nm LED backlight purchased October of 2022. 11/26/24 update: the manufacturer sent me a new light back in 2022 to replace the one that was failing. I ran the replacement light all of october and most of November 2023 as well as 2024, and it survived without failure. Increasing star rating from 2 to 4 seeing how the company sent me a new one that lasted at least a couple seasons so far. 11/4/22 update: After one month of use, running about 6 hours each night, several banks of LEDs have failed. See attached picture. Lowered rating from 4 stars to 2 stars. I'm going to see if the manufacturer will make it right and send a replacement, as the 30-day Amazon return window is expired by 2 days :-( After looking through other's reviews I saw several other people report that individual LEDs were failing relatively early in the life of the product. *********************************************************************************************************************** Early October 2022 Initial review: After one night of use outdoors, overall I am very happy with this light! The Pros far outweigh the Cons. Pros: 1. Appears to produce true 365nm light, or close to it! 365nm light is largely not visible to the human eye until it hits a fluorescent object, making a more stunning black light effect in a fully darkened room. At this point in time, this is rare as almost all LED "backlights" on the market now emit around 400nm light, which does cause most (not all) neon colored objects to fluoresce, but also casts visibly purple light on non fluorescent objects. 2. Surprisingly bright! Equivalent in output to perhaps two or three 40-watt T12 fluorescent bulbs driven by 1.0 ballast factor ballasts. 3. Only consumes 34 watts, but still has respectable light output (see con below) 4. It does not get excessively hot as some other reviewers stated. It was warm after a few hours of use, but nothing to be concerned about. Cons: 1. Only consumes 34 watts. It is rated for "50 watts." I'm not surprised, but please be honest. 2. The front glass lens is clear. It would be nice if it was woods glass so as to filter out more of the visible spectrum of light emitted by the LED's. (365 nm LEDs are fairly narrow in their spectral bandwidth, but some visible bluish light is still produced.) 3. The lettering on the front of the unit is upside down when mounted with the water tight power cord bushing facing down (you never would want the bushing facing up in a wet environment.)

Powerful decent light, but be aware of hazards!
This is a decently powerful light for the price and meets all my requirements, but users should be made aware that this is absolutely hazardous to eyesight! Cheap filterless UV LED's like this will blast a wide range of wavelengths and only emit the most at 365nm in this case. 365nm alone is known to cause skin cancer from prolonged exposure. Doing something like holding your hand right in front of the light for a minute or two can cause instant sunburn. Your eyes are much more sensitive, and that includes reflections! You don't have to look directly into the light to receive permanent retina degredation, an illuminated room by this can hurt your eyesight (especially if there are lots of white surfaces). It's a great lamp, but you must look into the safety precautions necessary for something like this. I use it for curing UV reactive resins and cyanoacrylate. UV filtering safety glasses are absolutely mandatory if you are using this repeatedly. Do NOT use this for curing gel nail polish on fingernails! You will seriously hurt yourself!

Good lamp for cyanotype
I've been using this UV lamp for processing my cyanotype prints. I love it! I use a large cardboard box, cut a square hole in the top just a bit smaller than the lamp and line the box with foil. This gives me consistent results with my cyanotype developing. I highly recommend.

Did not last 3 months
This light was great, when it worked. It would cure a thick clear coat on fishing lures in under 5 minutes. Now, three leds are inoperable, the light output is greatly diminished and it does not effectively cure the resin. The light is less than three months old and not used often. Everbeam has a two year product warranty. I will update my review if they respond in a reasonable amount of time and honor their warranty. UPDATE... Customer service was great and they replaced the light within 1 week.

Awesome quality Black Lights
Finally real LED black lights! These lights look awesome. Definitely the best LED black lights I have purchased. Recently returned 2 different sets that looked horrible, and then I brought these and they look amazing! The 100 watt really spreads and makes my black light tapestries glow super bright. Stoked I bought these and spent a little more on good quality lights opposed to these 390-405nm lights that everyone else is selling.

Also alles im grünen Bereich.

TOP Quality, fairly strong for 50W and at 365nm display fluorescent substances more clearly
I had to chose between two wave length, 365nm or 395nm. Both gives good result with some difference. The 395 appear stronger because it flood the area with some amount of visible light. It’s a deep blue color. The 395nm will not illuminate stuff that are manufactured to “glow in the dark”. The 365nm will project some amount of visible light but much less. On the other hand, the spider web in the left corner will “glow” and it is a “glow in the dark object” that would not reflect any light under 395nm. For me, the 395 was to strong in the visible light spectrum. Many mentioned it overheat and become really hot, for me it's not an issue, after 8 hours it was warm but not hot. It's a good product, solid, well designed and worth buying at 50w. I used Crayola Neon Chalk for drawings.
