Syneticusa MB Retractable Tonneau Cover fit 2009-2026 Ram 1500 5.7ft Bed

Super impressed, got this today and installed it in a couple of hours, directions were clear and I love the fit and it functions effortlessly. Also very impressed with the installation tools, not cheap junk an actual ratcheting reversible driver with bits and and amazingly enough a real double ended fixed socket wrench. Did not need my tools at all except a knife. Definitely worth the price!!!!!

Why SyneticUSA I sold my previous Ram Laramie 2016 with a Gator Trax retractable. It still worked, but the slide was starting to drag somewhat. Not what I expected for a 3 year old product. I bought a 2020 Built to Serve Ram and I needed a retractable for a variety of reasons. I researched, shopped, and wore out the internet looking for something I thought would be better than the Gator Trax. Better meaning quality AND price. Most retractables start around 1,000 dollars and go up to way off of my scale of worth. I came across the SyneticUSA on amazon. Price was lowest of any retractable I came across. That certainly made me nervous, but saw I could return it. So I ordered. Opening of Box Impressions Well packaged, instructions better than last retractable I owned. Top is solid aluminum slats, nicely finished. Four drain tubes over most that offer two, lots of rubber and foam gaskets to seal out water. Even extra wide foam strip in case tailgate didn't seal perfectly. Really looked like a quality product. Assembly Install took me one hour, but I did have a little experience from previous retractable. Instructions we readable, and all of my pieces fit together well. I did entire job myself, but would recommend two people for the process of lifting and setting on the truck bed and positioned. Manufacturer went the extra step of providing some extra parts for areas where you might experience wear and tear (locking assembly). Misc. I had read in the 5th gen Ram forum that while the entire unit was black, four bolts that hold down the rollback cover were silver. Mine were as well, but with a little left over hi temp flat black I had for the BBQ, I sprayed them waited an hour and installed. They look great! I had also read that the two locks for the top have separate keys. The manufacturer even responded to an FAQ stating the computer design program gave unique keys to all locks. HOWEVER, they may have fixed that as my two keys were the same and worked in both locks Impression The unit has only been on the truck two weeks. So far, very impressed and really happy with it. Looks great and matches the flat black on my truck perfectly. For the price, I don't think you can beat it. I have not experienced rainy weather yet, but will update when that happens. I will update this with photos shortly (dark outside) as well as after using it for a while. I would recommend this product.

Bought this a few days ago for my Ram 1500, based on price point and some reviews about this product. Took me about 3 hours to assemble due to bad instructions and the video not explaining some things correctly. Also the overall length is a tad short (about half an inch or so), so you have to really align the canister end such that it is barely touching the bulkhead of the truck bed. Even with all of that there is still a small gap on the tailgate end through which some water can seep in, so I now need to think of a way to close this gap. Overall looks pretty good, so would still give it about 3.5 stars.

2-1/2yrs later this is not only working great, but BETTER than advertised! I’ll be honest, I haven’t done any maintenance on it and it still works flawlessly despite being put through 100+ degrees weather, constant rain & humidity and even snow! What really made me write this review was a recent mishap I just had… a load of over 1000lbs snapped loose and fell on the cover. I thought for sure the cover and truck were done for! Nope!!!! Once we removed the load off the truck the cover got slightly bent and kept on working like nothing happened! It’s not perfect, but it still rolls & closes fine. The dent it so minimal it’s hard to tell on the pictures, but I’m sure it can be pushed back out so it seals tight again. Definitely not what I was expecting! Will buy again for future trucks!!!

Great cover, we love it. It does take some work to get it on. Some holes needed drilling, instructions not very good. Definitely need 2 people to install.

Bought this tonneau cover4 months ago when it on sell, and it looks great and works great too. The latches could be a little better, some times little hard to open. But I’d buy it again!

I spent hours researching covers and settled on this one. Reviews seemed to indicate that the quality and price was much better than the bigger name brands, but the instructions are lacking compared to others. I have to agree with all of those reviews . The cover looks and feels great. It fits my Ram 1500 like a glove. I’m very impressed with the quality, and though I haven’t tested it yet, I seems water tight. Many of the other brands had long, detailed installation videos. Installation on this one wasn’t too difficult, but the bare bone, brief instructions provided little help. It took me a couple hours to install, and my wife had to help me lift it into place. Installation could be done in less than an hour if the company would offer detailed videos. Last, the recoil is a little stiff than I had hoped, but maybe this will loosen up in time. Overall, I would definitely purchase this cover again, over any other.

This does not fit my truck, not sure if it’s the tail gate or what. This only fit a half inch on the width or less. Barely fit, but then The length was too long by 2-3 inches. No way to adjust width or length. Didn’t even cover the factory rail holes at all. Total mislead and not descriptive enough

I highly suggest having a helper if you are attempting to install this yourself! A bit awkward, and not easy to put in the bed by yourself if you put it together beforehand. Takes a bit of time to set it right. However the end result as it stands makes it worth every penny it costs. The overall build quality is very impressive for the price! Only tick against it was I had to get more weatherstripping due to half of it being crushed making it unusable out of the package. A small price and a minor inconvenience. The overall practically, and versatility of this cover is amazing! Don't think I'll ever go back to a trifold! Sure the canister does take space in the box, but it's not much compared to other, more expensive retractables. You can put a decent amount of stuff under the canister. And if you have a bedslide like one of my friends does. Surprisingly, they don't interfere with eachother. If you have a bed extender/cargo divider. I can't speak for all, however ones I've seen and measured do fit without either hanging up on eachother. So far the cover has kept the bed and contents which I had a bunch of cardboard in, dry as a bone from any rain light or heavy, driving or stopped. I imagine water could get in from a pressure wash but I haven't tried it yet. Overall, very impressed on what I got for the price!

This item is most definitely the worst thing I’ve ever spent money on. The instructions weren’t clear at all. The quality control of the hardware was poor as I was shorted 1 screw which was needed for structural strength and cosmetics and had 3 extra screws for the end caps. Made in China Overall I was not happy with this purchase. Would not recommend.

Pain to put together and Instructions are difficult to navigate. Padding came disfigured and the lining of the unit was slightly mangled. Just not packaged with any care overall. Still a better price than what’s around me for the issues. Looks good and works.
